I'm confused about "UA-cam optimized content" (short and succint) for a new channel vs. "Podcast optimized content" (longer and more conversational). 🤷♀Some say a podcast will kill a UA-cam channel, and I'm thinking especially a "new" UA-cam channel that has not taken off yet and/or is not started by someone with a large following from another channel. I've been trying to cater to both worlds, but feel like it might be better to abandon the Podcast for now and focus on the succint UA-cam video style for optimal chance at growth. I've searched for someone talking about this again and again, but have yet to find anything. I'd love it if you guys would do a video (podcast?!) on this. Thanks! 👍

Can't wait to get my mic, stand and create artwork, name it etc. I am wanting to launch a podcast on supporting partners/children/ carers of individuals who hoard. I am a counsellor and Mental Health first aid educator, and have personal experience. Since opening up about my story, have found SO many people in this tricky situation. I have countless stories, from the saddest to the plain comical, lots of practical (and lived-in) experience, plenty of tools, coping strategies, positive outcomes, some not so positive but very real. I worked for a lot of Radio stations back in the day and we'd try out different Mics. Many are great but we always ended up back at Beyer, Shure or Senheisser dynamic mics. Easy and awesome. And a 'real' plug.

My question is if I start out with it just being me and then invite somebody maybe four episodes later is that okay? will that work or will my audience not like my show because it's just me for the first few episodes?
