Ingredients
1. Raw rice 1 ½ cup
2. Blackgram dal 1/3 cup
3. Salt to taste
4. Grated coconut 2-3 cups
5. Cumin seeds 2 tsp
6. Garlic 5-8 cloves
PREPARATION
1. Soak the washed rice for 4-5 hours and grind.set aside.
2. Grind the soaked dal also similarly, crush coarsely the coconut , cumin and garlic.
3. Mix together well all the ground mixture.set aside 10 minutes.
4. Steam well as shown.

പെസഹാ അപ്പത്തിന്റെ റെസിപ്പി യൂട്യൂബിൽ തപ്പി നടന്ന ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോഴാണ് ഇത് കാണുന്നത്. 40 വർഷത്തോളമായി വിദേശത്തു താമസിക്കുന്ന ഞാൻ എന്റെ ചെറുപ്പ കാലം ഓർത്തു പോയി. അന്യ മതസ്ഥരായ ധാരാളം സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും അയൽക്കാരും എന്റെ ഇച്ചാച്ചനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
അമ്മചി ഉണ്ടാക്കി തരുന്ന അപ്പം ഇവരുടെ ഒക്കെ വീട്ടിൽ എത്തിക്കാൻ ഇച്ചാച്ചന്റെ പോയിരുന്ന മനോഹരമായ ഓർമകൾക്ക് ഇന്ന് വീണ്ടും ജീവൻ വച്ചു:

നമസ്കാരം ടീച്ചർ, ജോലിത്തിരക്കു കാരണം ടീച്ചറിന്റെ വീഡിയോ ഇന്നാണ് കാണാൻ പറ്റിയത്. എന്തൊരു നല്ല അവതരണം!!!!! 57 വയസ്സുള്ള എനിക്ക് ടീച്ചറിന്റെ ക്ലാസ്സിലെ ഒരു വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ എന്നു കൊതിച്ചു പോവുന്നു. എന്റെ രണ്ടാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിക്കുന്ന കൊച്ചുമോൾക്കും ഞാൻ ചിലപ്പോൾ ടീച്ചറിന്റെ വീഡിയോ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കാറുണ്ട്. ടീച്ചർക്ക് എല്ലാം നന്മകളും നേരുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടിലെ തിന്മകളെ ഇല്ലാതാക്കാൻ ഇത്തരം വീഡിയോകൾ ഉപകരിക്കട്ടെ.

Cutting of appam and distributing appam and palu to other family members also done by them. Remaining left over appam and palu will be disposed in a pit or burnt so that noone will walk over it . ഈ പാട്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ തൃശൂരിലും ഇണ്ടേറിയപ്പം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമ്പോൾ പാടും' എന്റെ വല്യമ്മ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കിത്തന്നിരുന്ന special പലഹാരങ്ങളിൽ ഒരെണ്ണം പിന്നെ അരി ഹൽവ, പനം പൊടി കുറുക്കിയത്. എന്റെ വല്ല്യച്ഛന്റെ ഭാര്യ - വല്ല്യമ്മ . ഞങ്ങൾ ഇതിൽചു വന്നുള്ളി അരിഞ്ഞത് , നാളീകേരം കൊത്തിയരിഞ്ഞത് ധാരാളം വറുത്തു ചേർക്കും ഒരു ചെറിയ മഞ്ഞക്കളറിനു വേണ്ടി ഇത്തിരി മഞ്ഞളും ചേർക്കും അധികം വെള്ളമില്ലാത്ത പരുവത്തിൽ എണ്ണ പുരട്ടിയ ചീനച്ചട്ടിയിൽ പൊത്തി വച്ച് അടച്ചു വേവിക്കുകയോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ Plate ൽ വച്ച് ആവിയിൽ വേവിച്ചെടുക്കും.
