One of my all time favourite Incubus tunes. A truly lost single, along with Familiar Faces - could have been amazing.
This is correct. I think leaving this of INNW is even more of a miss than leaving Punch Drunk/Look Alive off Light Grenades.
@@jelgerwoudstra9640 just imagine if they'd have hit the airwaves with this as a comeback single at the time! Granted the rest of the album still was very hit & miss, but this is a real gem hidden in the back catalogue.
At least this got radio play, IIRC🤣 the truly lost song is “REBEL GIRLS”! When I first PAID for the album on iTunes it was there. For some reason, it’s been unavailable for TOO LONG! GIVE US OUR MUSIC BACK @itunes!
Oh wait! The track that received radio play was “make a move” from the stealth film soundtrack!
Then again, they deserve so much more recognition as a band. But I’m also glad they are only as big as they are. If they were as big as the Grateful Dead I don’t think I would have ever been able to meet them!

Chile is always the luckiest. Some rarely played songs were played here.. Runaway train from Brandon's wild Trapeze album was played with an orchestra and then this one surface to air which is a very underrated song but one of their best imo.
i get caught in a trance when i listen to this....i like the live version a lil better than studio cuz of the delay effect and the rawness.....god this band is amazing!

- This may be my favourite Incubus song. I've been a fan for years and years, own all of their albums/DVD's, and this is the best to come from them. Ben Kenney is a groove-master!

i try to get into their newer stuff, but the incubus I loved ended after morning view. people change, that is the natural evolution of a band, and even this is great music, just to me as a long time fan, nothing compares to SCIENCE, make yourself, and morning view.

Marvin Große 8 is actually a great album, the thing that worries me is that Brandon sounds like shit live these days, after being one of the most flawless live rock singers.

he's improved a ton throughout the tour. I think his voice took a beating during the recording of the album. he sounded great last month when I saw them.

Some do, yes. Some others have too many to manage themselves so somebody coordinates them for them. Mars Voltas guitarist is an example of that extreme.

This is one of my favorites of their new ones. I dont think i really fell in love with anything on adolscents. The B-Sides is where its at. ;]
did they put autotune on the album version of this? im fairly certain that this is the exact performance they used in the "concert for the miners" version, and at the end of the album one he isn't flat at all on the last note.
It sure sounds like they did. I found your comment by googling to see if anyone else noticed. The live one isn't even that much different. You can really hear the autotune wobble in the album version.
Really impressive live performance though.

obeythesketch This video is of the miners-show, there is an live audio recording out there of that show. However, that audio is the exact same as you are hearing here. Now if you mean the studio version, yeah it's possible some pitch corrections or autotune were used.
If Not Now When? was actually an almost raw record, Brendan O' Brien spent almost 2 months placing mics and tweaking the equipment until they got the perfect sound right away, so they got the perfect takes and left them raw, this record wasn't even mixed, it was actually just recorded, then mastered.
Brandon used to be that good of a singer back in the day.

@bruscout12 Funny story about jose, when I heard the new album I was a bit disappointed in its simplicity.. then I really paid attention to what he was doing and I was like.. wow.. whole other level of subtle complexity. I HATED this album vehemently for its first 3 months of release, then I just opened my mind and listened to it and its in their top 3 for me. The writing ability of this band is a monster, this album connected new and old, not in heavy-ness but in style and theory.

I do have to say I hope it gets a little better on an album recording. I'm a huge Incubus fan, but still not too sure about this one. That guitar is so boring right now. Hopefully Einziger will spruce it up a bit. He always does great work. Still hopeful.
