It's not recommended to cook any food in the dishwasher. Ann Reardon (a food scientist, How to Cook That) tested this hack and found that while the dishwasher does get hot, it doesn't stay hot long enough to kill any bacteria that may be present in the food.
Not everyone has a dishwasher. Some of us are our own dishwasher.

so keep doing it by hand
If you want to get the last Pringle out then just turn the container upside-down, why haven't people thought of this yet.
It wasn't about getting the last Pringle out, it was about making it easier to get more out or get some out when they are below the reach of your fingers.
And the easy solution for that is to turn it
Exactly. Way easy to get the last Pringle out.
@@barbrn The few times I ate Pringles, I just turned the container upside-down to get them out after I couldn't reach them anymore.
I'm your 69th like
15:59 - Back in the mid-1980’s, my mother cut off a finger using this hack. Frozen containers get slippery on their sides, especially as they sit on your cutting board. I’ll never forget the Thanksgiving my family spent sitting in a hospital waiting room as my mom underwent emergency surgery to reattach her finger. Suffice to say we never ate ice cream or frozen yogurt this way ever again. Come to think of it, “hack” is exactly the right name for this technique. Use a heated spoon or simply wait a few minutes and the ice cream is perfectly manageable without the hassle of accidentally cutting off any body parts.
So, did they ban ice cream on your household due to PTSD?
@@latiendadepaikawaii LOL. No, and my mother was remarkably calm and kept the accident entirely to herself for a number of minutes. She was fumbling around near the pre-soaked dishes from Thanksgiving dinner we had just consumed when my father noticed her searching the dishes and asked her what she was looking for. Calm as day, she lifted her bleeding hand and said, “my missing finger.” That instant my aunt screamed louder than anyone I’d ever heard before and EVERYONE jumped up from the dinner table in hysterics rushing the kitchen all at once. Ice cream and frozen yogurt are NOT banned in our households but none of us will EVER use this hack. That much I can tell you. Cheers.
@@robertholtz oh ok.
sorry about your mum, also idk why you would even cut icecream, it would be much easier to put it in the microwave for 30 seconds
Ban assault ice cream immediately, someone please think of the children.
We haven’t been doing things the wrong way. We just do things how we want to do them. 😏😏😏
True dat
U sound narrow minded, and Ain't open to being corrected
True
Abso-bloody-lutely!! 😃 😀
Or how our mothers did them
The dishwasher hack would work good for a preparing for a party or something, but yeah, like lotsa people mentioned, you only want to wash fruits and veggies right before you eat them or or they're gonna get weird, fast.
🤔 so... am I the only one who just dumps the lower half of the Pringles chips straight into my hand a few at a time 😂
Not alone at all.
Doing the hand catch with Pringles chips cans ever since their inception
Same!
I’ve never known anyone who does it any other way. I don’t eat them. They’re just instant potato flakes pressed into a shape
Maybe, Idk. I can't relate to getting my hand stuck in those.
I'm sure the vast majority of Pringles eaters do that.
The other way to prevent bruised thumbs when hammering: hold the nail with pliers. Also helps guide it in straight.
A problem with that hammer shown is it's hard to get nail in exact position if you're trying to be precise.
Just hold the nails with rat-nosed pliers, works great!
A clothespin works great too, should you happen to have those on hand.
that also works great with electrical cable staples
As a mouse with a nose, I agree
Or just learn how tu use a hammer
@@marcoisenschmid1572 how do you use one to prevent ever hitting fingers?
I will NEVER stick food to be eaten inside the dishwasher.... That's disgusting!
But you will stick plates to be eaten off of inside the dishwasher?? 🤔
Bruh XD
I wanna know actually how its disgusting
@@mrswalters6277 I agree with you on your comment it is so true😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@cainemarko5021they start out dirty, then get cleaned with soap and disinfected by the heat. But fruits don't get truly cleaned and disinfected, because the bacteria just cycles around and around
Don’t wash fruit in the dishwasher. Dishwashers recirculate water and the dishwasher can have junk in crevices.
Get a proper dishwasher then...mine is spotless after a cycle...plus thats why the vinegar is used.
Not to mention the hepatitis 🤢
@@GSP-76 yeah vinegar can shorten the life of your water line since vinegar is acidic. But either way that is disgusting, I wouldn't want to eat at your place.
@@Master_Yoda1990 No one invited you to my place skunk.
Not to mention the electricity wasted.
Who the hell eats that many fruits and vegetables? That's like a months worth of produce for me
My thoughts exactly! I love fruit but damn that’s a lot!
The condiment holder thing is dirt old. I was a kid in the '90s and we tried this. So this could’ve been way before that. I only know as far back as the '90s. We quit doing this 'cause it was harder the condiment cup since it wasn't a cup anymore. It held only a little bit more when opened, then if anymore, it would be messy. The condiment would get on the fingers (since the holder moved around and it needed to be held down). It would also get on anything the holder was sitting on. So yes, opening the condiment holder up means more space for the condiments, but it's harder to carry without getting any condiments on your fingers/hand and or whatever it's sitting on. It also looked like in the video used, that the condiment holder didn't have much more in it than when it was closed in a bowl shape. Which defeats the purpose of having it open except for getting all of the condiment out of the cup. Open it up when there's a little bit left on edges.
Even with vinegar please don’t wash your fruits and veg in the dishwasher. The vinegar can not kill everything! Even though it’s a dishwasher, bacteria and food particles can still build up inside of it. Just put your fruit and veg in a colander, spray them with some Fit or other fruit and veg wash, and rinse with cold water. 😉👍🏻
Oh, and you don’t have to add water to the pan with your pizza. Just put the slice in, put the heat on medium low-medium, and put a top on it. The heat will melt the cheese, and the crust will stay crispy instead of soggy, and moist. Who the heck wants a moist crust? 🤢
You should not wash those fruit you're not going to eat right away. If you wash your fruit they will spoil faster. It's better to keep your unwashed fruit in the fridge and then wash only that piece of fruit before eating.
Yea,that’s more smart tho-
Yeah "that's more smart" 🤣 how u gunna assume EVERYone is eating their fruit wrong and only your eating it right?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👌 Can we just eat fruit however the fuc we want ? Plz? If that's okay with you? Your righteous-ness?
That's why grocery stores spray their produce- that way it's harder to keep after it leaves their shelves and you'll have to buy more sooner than later
Omg you Mam’s fish is permanently spoiled
Washing fruit in plain water does nothing.
I feel I have to add my voice to the others already saying this, because its worth repeating under no circumstances should you ever EVER wash your fruit in the dishwasher.
Golden rule: keep dry until serving time
Why not? Be sure not to use the rinse aid cycle.
@@TheBestDog still, no need to wash days before any consumption.
Indeed. A dishwasher is for removing dirt and grime. If you use a dish washer on a daily basis.. You know a few things about how dirty the pipes and parts get. Delivery water is sometimes used in multiple re-cycles of the washing process to reduce water wastage. This means that the caustic salts that are used in a normal cycle stay in the "recycle" pipe from wash to wash. Meaning you would have to run the dishwasher 3 to 4 times to clear the "old" caustic cleaning products from the system, before it is "food safe".
Your dishes sit through the caustic wash and get rinsed / dried by the dish washer. They dry in HEAT to remove the residue. Fruit goes through the same process and bakes into the skin... the caustic wash salts.
Also.. Who the heck has that much fruit that they will eat within 24 hours... Because washing fruit more than a day before you eat it... allows bacteria to grow on it anyway.
Yeah… still squirmy about the soap… probably not trying that one anytime soon!
I'm sure it has already been posted, but 14:00 also applies to (quarts of) engine oil. They're shaped that way so that the spout is farther from the fill port.
Maybe the dishwasher trick works but I think I’m gonna stick too cleaning my fruits the old fashioned way 😂
Same
I will NEVER use my dishwasher to wash my fruit or vegetables. I put the fruit or veggie in a bowl of Distilled White Vinegar. let it sit for a minute or so and rinse them off. I have seen the gunk that builds up in the spray arms of a dishwasher, and it isn't pretty.. 🤢🤢
Yup👍
I agree! I will never wash fruit or veggies in my dishwasher...Gross!
I was waiting for someone to comment on that. I didn't think putting all your food on top of a drink was a very good idea either lol
I actually thought putting fruit in the dishwasher was a joke. Sounds like it isn't. It won't be happening at my house.
Also a waste of electricity
We aren't doing stuff wrong, these people just have a creative different way of doing stuff right
I tried the chip bag thing awhile back. It doesn't really work unless you have one of the huge "family sized" bags. It looks so easy in theory but in practice it's a whole different thing. I would honestly love to know if anyone has used that "hack" successfully!
Not many of these work as seamlessly as they make them look in the video 😂
@@Unosolo_23 so its 5 minute crafts now?
I can do the bag hack with a personal sized one.. you could too if you really tried lolz
@@krysteecee8242 Nice assumption 🤦🏻♀️
My bags always rip apart.. I tried the "hack " version.. not good outcome with smaller oz size mylar foil bags
We all know that person who basically uses the entire ketchup bottle for one fry.
Guilty. 🤣
@@PhantomThiefKageOkami me too.
Lol
Im part off the crazy people i dip my fries in ice cream ahh yes the forbidden sauce😋😋
Wait you only use one? I can’t survive without a ratio of at least5 bottles to one fry.
Yes it’s very expensive
For using your dishwasher for cleaning food make sure you don't have the spot remover filled with anything hard to do as it lasts a number of uses.
Washing fruit in dishwasher well That’s just nasty I don’t care what this video says lol
Did you know you can use your laundry washing machine to clean your dishes? Comes in handy while you're cleaning your fruit in the dishwasher.
I don't think glass and a spin cycle would work very well together 😅
The nursing home my grandfather is in uses a dishwasher to clean everyone's dentures
@@dansweda712 I mean why not? LOL
It works great on auto parts but don’t understand why it keeps breaking down!🤷♀️
I won't fall for that again.
Why would you steam fish along with clean dishes? That's going to make all your dishes smell like fish
there is actually a reason chip bags have more air in them. It's because the chip companies want to try and protect them from being mushed into dust during shipping
thats been proven to make them take more damage, not less.
The best ketchup hack is to take the medium cup lid and the second medium cup lid turn one one way turn the other the other way and then stack them back on top of each other press them back together then put your ketchup on that much better and it's not flimsy so your catch up will not end up in the floor. And as for the pizza you can do that with a microwave taking old plastic grocery bag recently got put your paper plate inside the bag and put your slice of pizza on the paper plate take a paper towel put it under the faucet get it slightly wet fold it up and stick it under your plate in the bag full of the bag under the plate so that way it's semi-closed and held closed by the weight of the plate activate your microwave for about one and a half minutes and that will Revitalize your pizza the same way as with a skillet
Are you saying to put a plastic bag in the microwave...
Dude deserves an Oscar for his brilliance in narrative skills on BE AMAZED videos, he’s got a cool, smooth voice also! 🇺🇸☝🏻🤘🏻👊🏻💪🏻💋🇺🇸
naw because NONE of these are new. They have been shown for YEARS in other videos
I don't think so
Shame on u, wildlifewarrior2670
I'm not a germaphobe. But, I haven't drank straight from a soda can in years, ever since I heard about what can be on them. But, I don't use straws either. I just clean the top and outer top of the can, with a little alcohol wipe.
Sounds like a germaphobe to me.
I drink coca cola cans every day
Mythbusters did a test that there is no crazy harmful bacteria on soda tops that can’t be remedied with a quick water rinse. If that puts you at ease.
OR!!! YOU READY? OR, YOU CAN QUIT DRINKING SOFT DRINKS FOR EVER!! not only are u healthier but germ-free.
I wash all the lids if I buy canned pop. I don't drink out of the can anymore either.
why would u waste so much of the strawberry when I can just pluck the green from the top.
No kidding. I've always eaten the entire berry, never heard of anyone prejudiced against pith.
Another way to reheat leftover pizza is to put it in the air fryer set to 3:50 for 5 mins it leaves the crust nice and crispy and the cheese extra stretchy
YES
Hack for half gallon (1.5 qt) ice cream containers that are too frozen:
Place container in the microwave and
heat for 15 seconds.
But I find the mushy melted stuff surrounding the rest kind of a downer. I guess I'm not that kind of girl...
That's what we do too.
duh lol wtf who doesn’t do that already. i thought you were about to actually give a new helpful tip that not every single human already knows about lmao smh damn oh well.
@@lovemyfrenns Ive never heard of microwaving icecream
I don't do things the wrong way, I do things the unique way 😜
Don't use a dishwasher. That is a huge waste of water.
The proper way to peel a banana is to do it like monkeys do.
Instead of breaking the stem at the top of the banana like most humans do, usually resulting in a not so easy peel or squishing the top of the banana turning it into a bruised gooey mess, turn the banana upside down and give the bottom a little pinch. The bottom tip splits right open and makes it super easy to make the perfect peel. Monkey see, monkey do. 👍😁
I actually think this one was covered in another video from this channel. I could be wrong though, but I've seen it somewhere.
Monkey see, monkey doom
Yes, I saw this trick of opening the banana from the non-stem end a while ago in a totally different type of video, and it really is much easier.
Yes, and the stem functions as a convenient handle.
Microwave pizza is immaculate I get so chuffed when I smell the perfect left over pizza
9:10 What is "leftover pizza"?
It's an incomprehensible concept. :D
AKA breakfast
@@lanai1129agreed
When warming up pizza in the microwave you can still keep the crust crispy by placing a glass ( not plastic) half full of water next to the pizza when the microwave is on. The water prevents the moisture in the air from sogging the pizza. 😋 🍕
OMG I must try this! Thanks!
Air fryer.
Bloody hell, that bag of crisps was absolutely ENORMOUS!! 😮 Loved the straw trick to hull strawberries, I have arthritis so that will definitely be worth a try as I have metal straws. Loved seeing all these ideas but oh I'm craving a cracking good Chinese takeaway now 😭😭😂😂
Ok, if that works great for you. I just use my natural tools- teeth.
Im crqving a ice cream sandwich (homemade) sooooooo badly 😢
The reason why the bag of chips are so enormous is probably because it was from America. It's why most are overweight here in the US. Just sayin.
For the pizza all you have to do is use a toaster oven. Lay down a piece of aluminum foil put it on toast and set the timer for only 25 seconds and it will be hot as can be you'll have to let it cool down that's how quick it is
Plz don't put fruit in a dishwasher its a waste of energy & you can throw all away the same day so massive food waste.
The melon cutting only works if the melon has no seeds.
Nobody cuts a strawberry in half and throws half away.
Ikr?!
Waist?
@@user-ym4xy6us5e lol, you went way back in youtube time
These things are cool to know, but when I'm gonna actually use them I'll just forget. XD
Ha, ha, so bloody right, it's alway's fresh in my head and then when it comes to actually doing it, your holding the item thinking "there's something I was supposed to try with you, ah well it's gone, maybe I'll remember again". Then when you haven't the item, it's back to square one wanting to try it, typical.
Also for ice cream just heat up a spoon in some warm water it melts through the ice cream and the you don't have to ruin the container
True! That’s exactly what I do if it’s a harder ice cream!
The problem with the dish washer and your produce is that there is sometimes mold (and bacteria) in the filterso that should be cleaned first. Also the rubber seal should be cleaned. Tea Tree oil can clean, disinfect and leave the seal good and supple. Or just get a basin, fill it with cold water, add a couple of caps of vinegar and be done with it. As far as cooking food in it? That’s s topic for another day!! You gotta appreciate the efforts to make things easier for people. I’m always down for that!!
My jaw legit DROPPED as soon as I saw the hammer hack 😯
Now I can do everything correctly☺️
For several pieces of Pizza.. I heat it up in the microwave for 45 secs on high then.. Put it in the Air Fryer for 3 mins:) It's like fresh out of the box:)
ooh, this sounds like a good idea!
Here's my Can Straw tip: 17:39
I turn my can tab just enough to snug the straw against the can without pinching it, so the straw never moves.
I've always had the straw still make its way out of the tab hole.
These are really amazing life hacks especially the mcdonalds one at the start
I've used those hammers with the nail slot in it and yes it may be handy for not hitting your fingers of course but you'd be surprised how difficult it can be to accurately hit your mark because the human eye can't pinpoint things with laser accuracy, the only way to get it pinpoint is by holding the nail and being careful haha.
Yeah, at first it looked like I was about to throw my old hammer to the trash bin and run to my closest hardware store to buy a new one with this indentation but then I've had the same thought that it would be very difficult to nail it on the first try (no pun intended), it maybe work great for those people with a higher dexterity but I see myself poking holes on my wood with that.
@@peterpuke2841 It comes with practice, also it's very nice if you're doing things that require low precision but doing things quickly. Also, you can always just take the nail out an try again if you mess up.
It takes something called "SKILL" I have watched an old carpet installer pick up and drive tacks with a tack hammer (one magnetic end and drive them with impeccable accuracy.
Hot food on top of a cold drink? No thank you! Not to mention, it'd be a balancing act! 🤨
For next day pizza 🍕 I put a small cup of very hot water and when it boils then add your slices or slice 🍕 and in 4 or 5 seconds your slice is back to OR EVEN BETTER THAN IT WAS ON THE DAY YOU PURCHASED IT.
That pizza box hack is going to change my life lol 😆
No it's not. That is a product called the SMARTBOX and it's the 4th or 5th version of the same concept I've seen since the 1990s. It's a specially designed product that has those removable sections. Your pizza box will NOT have that. It hasn't been adopted by ANY major chain in 30 years.
These were so neat!! Loved the strawberry trick and the hammer is pretty cool too. I knew about the straw and the soda trick.
Yeah. There's some freakin good ideas - either that, or I'm sleep deprived.
the straw berries trick was a horrible wasteful decision

- [Narrator] We all have our favorite way of doing things,
0:03
but many of us are making the usage of everyday things
0:06
a lot harder for ourselves than we realize.
0:09
From the most efficient way to eat fast food
0:11
to the only way you should be washing fruit,
0:14
get ready for your mind to be blown
0:16
as I reveal a whole ton of things
0:17

0:26
Big Mac Balancing Act.
0:29
Fast food is an easy and convenient option
0:31
when you're on the go.
0:32
The bonus being that it's usually dangerously delicious.
0:36
We all know that a McDonald's takeout
0:37
is one of life's simplest pleasures,
0:39
but eating one on the move isn't always the easiest task.
0:43
Whether it be whilst walking or in your car,
0:45
the absence of a table
0:47
can end with your Big Mac and fries looking like a big mess.
0:50
But it turns out there is a right way
0:52
to eat Mickey D's on the go.
0:54
First, you flip open the burger or nugget box
0:57
and place it on top of your drink,
0:59
poking the straw up through the fold of the box.
1:02
Next, fill the empty side of the box with your fries
1:05
and voila, you have your very own
1:07
instant fast food trough to eat from,
1:10
face first if you wish to literally pig out.
1:13
While it may look a little gimmicky,
1:14
it has been touted as the ultimate hack
1:17
by the guys at the Golden Arches themselves.
1:19
Easy, delicious, and a little shameful,
1:22
just as every McDonald's meal should be.
1:26
Clean of the Crop.
1:28
After diving face first into fast food,
1:30
now it's time for something a little healthier.
1:33
You might be shocked to find out
1:34
that you've been washing fruit
1:36
completely wrong this whole time.
1:38
Most people wash fruit individually under running water,
1:42
but turns out that running them
1:43
through a cold dishwasher cycle is just as effective
1:46
and washes all your fruit and veg at once.
1:49
While the idea of washing fruit
1:51
through a soap-filled dishwasher cycle
1:53
sounds very unhealthy,
1:54
don't worry, there are no suds to be seen with this method.
1:57
The secret is to add some distilled white vinegar,
2:00
also known as acetic acid,
2:02
into the tab tray which acts as a disinfectant
2:05
that can eliminate bacteria and viruses.
2:08
You might think this dishwasher method
2:09
would result in a big old smoothie,
2:11
but it really does work with each piece of fruit
2:14
making it through the washing whirl.
2:16
To protect more delicate items, such as kiwis and grapes,
2:19
place them on the top rack
2:21
and put heavier produce like melons and pineapples
2:23
on the bottom.
2:24
If that wasn't enough, turns out your dishwasher
2:27
can do a whole host of things you'd never imagined,
2:29
including steaming salmon fillets in tightly sealed foil
2:32
by running them through a cycle with your dirty dishes
2:34
for a no hassle dinner.
2:36
The hero of kitchen appliances,
2:38
looks like the dishwasher is well and truly cleaning up
2:42
when it comes to multi-tasking talents.
2:45
Fruit Pursuit.
2:47
Now that our fruit is squeaky clean,
2:49
it's time to serve it up.
2:51
But chances are, you're probably doing that wrong too.
2:54
Watermelon slices are a refreshing treat
2:56
on a hot summer's day,
2:58
but preparing these little triangles of joy
3:00
can be pretty time-consuming.
3:02
Instead of messing around
3:03
with complicated slicing techniques,
3:05
why not opt for the easiest chopping method possible
3:07
that also cuts out any fuss with presentation?
3:10
Start by slicing the watermelon in half
3:13
and laying one flat side on a cutting board.
3:15
Then, slice the half melon
3:17
from one side to the other at even intervals,
3:19
followed by cutting in the opposite direction,
3:22
forming cuboid-shaped chunks.
3:24
And there you have it,
3:25
watermelon sticks that are easy to eat
3:27
and can be served as is.
3:29
Another sweet skill to add
3:31
to your culinary carving arsenal now.
3:33
Most people just cut strawberries like this,
3:35
but this really isn't the most effective way
3:37
to get the most berry for your buck.
3:40
Cutting the tops off wastes a good amount of the strawberry
3:42
and also leaves behind some of the worst bits of the fruit.
3:45
While most attention is given to removing the stalk,
3:48
most people don't realize
3:49
that strawberries can have quite a tough inner core
3:52
and not removing this
3:53
can result in an eating experience that's not berry good.
3:56
The best way to serve up the most succulent strawbs
3:59
is to use none other than a straw.
4:02
All it takes is a quick poke
4:03
and the stalk and core are removed just like that.
4:06
Not only does this method work like a treat,
4:08
it's also super satisfying
4:10
to watch the core slide out of the straw.
4:12
Now that's a whole new reason to call them strawberries.
4:17
Perfect Prep.
@@izaksadowski2937 - I would eat the core myself all the way to the leaves. No waste.
what I found most amazing was the Mcflurry spoon. the part amazing me was that people where trying to use it as a straw.

Another way around rock-hard ice cream is to microwave it for 10-15 seconds. It will still be frozen but will be much much softer.
I used to do that for my ex. Gross. I don’t like soft serve. I like ice cream.
@@JustPeachy2023 It's easy to botch. Just don't nuke it and you're good.
i actually do this lol
Can’t you just warm up the spoon instead? Just as in boiled water.
@@vivanecrosis I find that using a warm spoon doesn't last long enough to get a good bite.
I thought I was smart... but WOW. There are some really good ideas - especially avoiding my usual carton fiascos! The idea of using the dishwasher with vinegar for vegis/fruit is sound - and the vinegar can also assist with mineral deposits. However, I don't intend to get a DW just so I can wash fruit. But I WILL get another jug of distilled vinegar. (A friend suggested using it on black mold areas in the basement, rather than bleach. It does help, it's safer, but not as dramatically effective as bleach.) Add vinegar to baking soda and it's FUN - says my inner 9-year-old self! :D
Black mould is best treated with clove oil. It can be very dangerous. Bleach doesn't kill just removes the colour. Clove oil kills the spores. Paint on liberally and leave for a day or so (SMELLY BUT NOT DANGEROUS) and then go back with your bleach to remove the colour. I hope that helps xx
Cold pizza tastes good and no one can tell me different

This is a joke, right? Most of these are stupid as hell.
I upgraded the second orange peeling hack.
Just twist the skin before removing it. The damn annoying white stuff around the flesh (at the center) will be removed. Then the orange slices can be even more easily taken
the one where you just pour the bottle the other way absolutely blows my mind 😂😂😂 i can even DRINK it better by just basically holding it upside down? or whatever the wrong way hahahah that’s great 😂
Use the same trick when adding washer fluid to your car.
i tried the pizza thing, and it CHANGED MY LIFE! THANK YOU BE AMAZED!
11:12 but that's tangerine, tangerines are easier to pull apart this way than oranges, but I've learn a good way to eat oranges from school. Slice the orange in half, preferably use sharp knife so you don't make a mess, put it on any surface you're cutting it on with that flat and juicy part up and cut it in shape of x or +, not all the way down so the 4 pieces are still connected, unfold/spread (Idk what term is better) the 4 pieces apart and ta-da, it looks good and you can eat it more easily
PS: I hope everyone understands, I'm gonna make a video on my chanel if someone doesn't understand
It’s also gets rid of the sweetest part of the strawberry while taking out the tiny little part at the top
Which you can steal from every berry you clean, leaving the rest for your mates.
@Aryan you can, I agree! but they are saying to just toss them and calling it the core
@@andrewhohenthaner444 right I agree with you! I’m just saying it’s not a core lol it’s the best part of the strawberry
For the carton simply poke a small hole in the top of the carton above the spout and it pours a lot smoother works great for those cheap cartons that don't have a spout
@7:07 Instead of using those small paper cups, I use the soft drink lids that are usually next to the ketchup dispenser.
i just love the narrator's voice, he makes everything so interesting
I’ll be adopting the hack for cutting cherry tomatoes in half & the one for opening up/displaying oranges. Excellent ideas.
I learned quite a bit from this video and plan to put them into practice myself. Thank You!!!
The one with the Pringles really blew my mind 😅🤩🤯
I have only just discovered this channel great content binge watching all the videos now completely amazed 👌🏼👏🏼
This was hilarious. And informative too! I wish I had a transcript so I could have a reminder of everything you covered here. All of it is so useful. Thank bunches!
There is a transcript in the description of the show
Glad you enjoyed it!
Be amazing, please make an app!
2:17 washing fruit in a dishwasher with vinegar... I remember that salad, when you pour vinegar dressing on the leaves and let it stand for a while, they get more and more soft cause the acetic acid does with the plant cells the same thing as it does with the bacteria cells - it destroys them! I'll never forget when I watched my collegue in the lab accidentally got one drop of pure acetic acid on his hand - it lasted only a few seconds till a blister formed!
Trick my grandma taught me for iceberg lettuce: grab it in one hand from the top. Then turn it upsidedown and slam it onto the counter. The bottom core pulls right out!
Saves you from having those too-hard tips at the end of each leaf in a salad.
I take my head of lettuce rince with water n then like granny, slam it on the counter, n then let it drain by putting it on the faucet handle
@@peggyjones9080 this works with cabbage, too!
Well with strawberries it depends which kind you get. If you have those greenhouse winter strawberries, then really cutting the top of is the most effective way to get rid of the white part that did not get enough light to develop properly. If you get the intensely dark red summer ones then the gentlest ways that remove the stalk only are the best.
I'm amazed...to be amazed
Damn that strawberry got me 😂 for a moment I stop to think how serious that could be
Good to see a video about actual tricks that improve the quality of life of everyone and not the average stupid life hacks that nobody does that other UA-cam channels likes to exploit, personally I found many of this tricks very useful and realistic, gotta use some of them from now on.
thanks! Yeah honestly, I've started using a few of these in my day to day life - the pizza in a pan trick in particular is super useful 😀
I use the toaster oven to heat up my pizza because the microwave exploded, and to this day, WE HAVEN’T INSTALLED THE NEW ONE- DANM IT-
If you do a part 2, you should include the proper way to wear a travel neck pillow. Turning it around so that the gap is in the back is soooo much more comfortable!
Also, to get the bitterness out of prematurely picked cucumbers, cut off one end and immediately rub it on the end of the cucumber you just cut from, so that a white foam comes out. Do this for about a minute, and repeat on the other end. The bitterness will be significantly reduced (not always completely gone, especially if the insides are green instead of white, but it does help!). Then you can peel and eat a much tastier cucumber!
„W/o tilting your head“… GENIUS!!
When I was working restaurants, we did something similar to the dishwasher hack, only we used a 5-gallon bucket instead of the dishwasher. 1:1 ratio of vinegar to water, every fruit with edible skin gets a 5-minute soak, then rinsed in water, then into the walk-in or the fridge table.
... My dad used to make us cut grass with scissor as a punishment once
I did not the McDonald hack. Seems like someone I know would have done that or told me that by now. Not sure I will ever do it though. Was fun to watch. Great video
And the other McDonald’s hack, when I go to McDonald’s there’s always a hole at the bottom of my McFlurry spoon thingy
And the other McDonald’s hack, when I go to McDonald’s there’s always a hole at the bottom of my McFlurry spoon thingy
There's gonna be a bunch of dudes fixing dishwashers after this vid, wondering how the inside of the dishwasher got plugged up with sand, wax, bits of basil leaves and little fruit stickers everywhere.
White Vinegar is not acetic acid. They are different compounds. White vinegar conatines acertic acid but no where near as strong as in it's pure form.
wait you're supposed to peel the oranges? damn I've been eating them like an apple
every orange tree is dissapointed in you
Dammn boy
Prob some others can relate not tho
Love the pizza box for leftovers. My husband puts all the warm slices in a zip lock baggie and it makes them soggy, yuck!
Freeze the slices and they won’t get soggy. Also a small baking stone that fits inside a convection/toaster oven is perfect for reheating the frozen slices.
Also a larger baking stone is the only way to make a commercial frozen pizza look like the picture on the box.
Our family has used the chip bowl trick for over a decade! Such a life saver at party’s!
6:41 Mom never used those little paper cups. We would use the hamburger wrapper, pretty side down. The coating on the inside made it easy to savor every last bit of ketchup.
Also, if you need more... Not a problem.
Great ideas and information! Thank you!
Frozen containers can be slippery and cutting ice cream containers could cause the knife to slip. So this one might be not the safest.
Some of these should be called ‘complicated ways to do things that are more easily done with common methods’. Who actually reaches into an upright Pringles tube the get the chips and doesn’t just tilt the can?(no piece of paper required)😂
Yes, I’m an old chem lab rat and just use the technique we use to get the right weight of a powder from a spoon or bottle into a beaker or other container. Just tilt and tap carefully. In the case of Pringles, just do it slowly enough so they don’t come out in too big a pile.
Here’s my hack for reheating just about everything, and it works like a charm. Take an electric skillet with a glass lid and fill it so the liquid covers the bottom twice over. Place your meal on a standard ceramic plate and place it into the skillet on top of the water. Place the lid so that each side intersects with the corners of the skillet leaving a space for some steam to escape and turn the skillet to 300 degrees. Check the progress frequently until desired temperature is reached. This method is great for reheating pizza and a far superior way to heat leftovers. No more dry food, from microwaving your meals thus eliminating a lot of the moisture. Note: If you want a crispy crust on your pizza, remove the pizza right when the cheese begins to melt, remove the plate using two forks split apart on each side, remove the water from the skillet, coat with butter, and put your pizza directly on the hot skillet surface, put the lid on correctly and cook until desired crispness.
When pizza is reheated in the air fryer, you get a more effective revival than than Aunt Martha's Church on a Sunday afternoon!
Could be said it is even better the second day.
Damnation and hallelujah!
If the bag says 12 ounces, you get 12 ounces. The air is to cushion them so they don't shatter.
Plus the nitrogen gas keeps the food fresh for longer.
