- Ladies and gentlemen the 30 incher is down!!!! 😳😳😳
This will definitely be a hunt to remember from the both of us!
To say we have worked our arses off and worked hard over the last few years to get this big boy is definitely no word of a lie.
We have been relentless in our efforts to keep pursuing the dream stag we held a picture of in our minds and this boy has taken the cake.
Although he is an uneven 30" there is beauty in this old boy for being perfectly imperfect and we truly treasure and appreciate with the upmost respect these animals and how hard they are to hunt.
Over the last week, we've spent a fair bit of quality time up at the hut with the fresh air of the high country filling our lungs and the sounds of the native frogs singing us to sleep at night which has been complete bliss.
I managed to bag myself a cool looking Sambar stag which you saw earlier this week and Markus of course, one upped me bagging the mighty elusive 30" Sambar stag.
Still cannot believe it 🥴
Super proud of him and his efforts, this guy always goes above and beyond like you wouldn't believe to make sure you guys as the viewers get the best experience from our hunts and that we capture the whole adventure.
My turn for a 30 incher what do ya reckon?? 😜

Legend, absolutely an enormous Stag. Massive thick racks on him all the way up. Well done even though they are not even its a well deserved shoulder mount. I hope you did this for this majestic old animal to remember him by when your at home looking at him on your wall mate.

A good crumbing tip is to put flour and crumbs in cheap freezer bags and shake it all about no dishes necessary
Good entertainment from the armchair, textbook sorting out the shot on the 4. For tracking a wounded one, marking the blood so can relocate it (broken, hung up twigs, leaves on ground etc, toilet paper squares) is good insurance if any doubt about it going far. Training the dog to keep in close is another (10m long light lead to tread on), if it wasn't hit hard enough and was put up again wounded the problems really start, they'll go for miles and usually have the drop on you = lost deer. Letting 4paws chew it isn't a good idea, patting and making it sit just off & good dog does fine, you're not going to put it off being keen.
And for the other half, the reaction to seeing the stag jump up and head for the next state would have been entertaining, but not necessary. They're not tigers, but always pays to make sure they won't revive & be prepared. (written as watched, & then watched a little more, and ... at least you got in another shot otherwise the better half's reaction back at the camp would have been different).

I’m loving your videos! May I ask why you remain so quiet after a kill? I’m assuming you don’t want to chase away any remaining deer but the gunshot would’ve done that. Also why do you wait 20 mins before going to the kill? Cheers!

i dodn,t know why u don,t have a long pole ,tie the front 2 legs and tie the back legs on the pole and put the front of the pole on his shoulder and the back of the pole on her shoulder and carry the deer out,its better than draging it out,i know i draged 300 lbs pigs out the barn by myself, its no easy go,i think carry deers or pigs is easyer
