C&C 1 and Red Alert 1 along with Tiberian Sun and C&C 3 played it straight, serious. The camp came with RA2 then they doubled it in RA3. So definitely not the C&C entire series is full of goofy cutscenes. Just the Red Alert sequels.
@@Erikcleric But the camp only works because they play it straight and over the top. They play it like Mortal Kombat actor, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. I could see only Tagawa, George Takei, or Noriyuki "Pat" Morita for a role like this [if the Emperor was played by a dude]. They each have verying forms of "giving Shatner a run for his money, but from a Japanese actor" levels of intentional and unintentional camp. Given Morita was firstly and chiefly a comedian makes this even more hilarious. Tagawa and Takei are serious actors who have excellent comedic timing from an over the top standpoint quite similar to Jerremy Irons. If you had those three playing as part of a "council of evil mages" in some D&D spinoff, I'd legit throw my money at you for the epic levels of villain camp alone. For a somewhat, but not actually, more "serioius" take on this particular trope, see Alan Rickman. I've love to see some alternative world where Alan Rickman (RIP you tea making badass!), Morita {RIP you comedic genius!}, Tagawa, and Irons star in a film together. With that level of epic, at any moment I'd be waiting for Machiko Soga [possibly voiced by Barbara Goodson] to pop out with possibly Arleen Sorkin playing an old Harley Quinn, with perhaps as some DC live action adaptation or fantasy film mashup of WB movies, or another Spectre film for Bond. Like, any of these actors I can see uttering, "I was curious to see what kind of man you were. I thought there may be even a place for you with SPECTRE. But, it appears that I was mistaken. I misjudged you, Mr. Bond. You have fallen into my trap. Now... [cue villain monologue." the only thing that film would be missing is Mike Myers PLAYING A REFORMED DOUGLAS POWERS alongside maybe Jim Carrey. Hmm... I guess we know who they will revive for 10th installment in Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog film. 🤣
This is what ai generated films will be like. Insane cast, great lighting, terrible shot composition, busy scenes and nonsensical 14-year-old-level overly convoluted writing half-formed, and hodgepodged from their favorite movies and shows.
I've only ever seen images of Takei in that outfit. I've never seen it in a scene before and I always assumed someone managed to get George Takei as a mentor in a Power Ranger series.
This is also a sub-division of the series called Red Alert. This game is Red Alert 3. The main series which is Command and Conquer also had a release before this one called Command & Conquer 3 which featured Michael Ironside. It was a great time to be a C&C fan. The media team also had a weekly online show that showcased player battles and game updates. They would even have tournaments! It's too bad EA dabbled to much and ruined it all with trying to turn C&C4 into a live services game.
RA3 is the worst of the RA series. If it weren’t for the notoriously bad AI pathfinding the original RA would be the best but RA2 has great pathfinding making it the beat out of the three. The original CnC, despite the fact the AI cheats, is one of the best of the Tiberium timeline which the original RA soviet campaign is the prologue to. CnC3 was the best until they failed to rebalance the campaign after the economy rework so that honor goes to CnC2.

Jonathan Pryce???
Peter Stormare???
J.K. Simmons???
And George Takei???
And I thought Tim Curry was the most unexpected person to appear in the _Red_ _Alert_ series.
They got Ric Flair, too. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair from the old WWF.
Gina Carano would eventually be in the Manderlorian.
Add also Kelly Hu
As an MMA fan to find out that MMA legend Randy Couture was Commander Warren blew my mind 😂
Imagine being on the other side and seeing the President wig out like that. Imagine them just being like "Is he having a seizure? I knew the news would be traumatic but damn!"
Why can't all video games be like this? This was like a live action version of a cartoon I would watch as a kid!
How….. is this not got millions of views…. This is Sulu, using JJ Jameson as a spy, while Elizabeth Swan’s father, and the Russian guy that’s in everything, talk to him….. this is gold… what is this?
red alert 3
* Swedish guy who plays Russians in everything
Ah, Red Alert 3, that timeline where US President JK Simmons, Japanese emperor George Takei, and Soviet premier Tim Curry fight a world war.
These are Oscar winners, nominated actor, and Sulu man I miss love this game
Excellent content 😂
ah the old days when actors thought games were stupid and never took this seirously. thank you for this gem!
As with the Terminator, I see that this robot apparently runs on interpreted COBOL.
It's actually HTML. The President is being run from a web-page 😂
0:19 i swear that was the Balenciaga AI nod
Some of the greatest actors of our time giving the worst performances of their lives. Iconic.
It still amazes me how they got all these well known decorated actors to do live action acting in an RTS computer game. 😂
EA money is no joke.
I like how they automatically believed everything they said instead of saying it’s all lies without seeing any proof.
that is one hell of a youtube title there my friend
It was amazing the coordination involved to get all these great actors simultaneously at their career nadir to accept such a cod ordinary script.
The red alert series really embraced the C&C cheese, and I love it.
The amount of legendary actors in this video game is amazing
Mr Sulu: No divine destiny? This means nothing! (Pulls out cables that are part of the matter transporter/beamers)
I've never played a red alert game but this might convince me.
Kane: I may have made a mistake somewhere...
Would really love it if they got back together and create a red alert movie with all the goofiness and seriousness combined,x)
I need to play RA3 again. Been ages since I have, and I didn't even remember this cutscene...
we need 4k 60fps remaster of this game's cutscenes :D
Can you remaster perfection?
@@1992CMG with enough sharpening you can ;)
Specifically the Dasha ones
If you read this cast to someone you would think the movie was nominated for best picture lol
ikr, one of those "every famous actor loves working with the director" films lmao
Still the best rts game of all time i wish they would have continued to make these i miss them i love c&c red alert and all others as well
RA2 was better. this was was way to campy and the node system was bad
Being a character in C&C's campy cutscenes must be on every great actor's bucket list
They need to bring it back for this reason alone.
I see the high-sparrow stickin around here and chillin.
This is what ai generated films will be like. Insane cast, great lighting, terrible shot composition, busy scenes and nonsensical 14-year-old-level overly convoluted writing half-formed, and hodgepodged from their favorite movies and shows.
I like how they're consistent with the over the top corniness
Mr Sulu, Scorpion and the old man from big trouble in little china pulling the strings behind President Schillinger... I got to play this game
I swear to God, Command and Conquer cutscenes were dripping gold with this stellar cast
CPT. Hikaru Sulu having lost his cool on a very bad day.
I've only ever seen images of Takei in that outfit. I've never seen it in a scene before and I always assumed someone managed to get George Takei as a mentor in a Power Ranger series.
BRUH I HAD NO IDEA THIS IS WHAT COMMAND AND CONQUER WAS LIKE LMAOOO
Fun game, not as fun as 2 but honestly quite enjoyable even if it has a bad taste of EA fuckhead
Oh this game exist more than 10years ago
One of best game I ever played
It's a a RTS game
Sadly as the cutscenes got better the game got worse. DAMN YOU EA!!
And George Takei gives the shogunate to Scorpion
Hikaru Sulu*
J. Jonah vs Sulu, theres a matchup i've always wanted to see!
I love how theres a random 3 second black and white scene
I played this game ages ago, but I still often think… “what the fuck was this game.”
This is such a chaotic combination of actors.
We need to see all of these in-action as they happen. The movie scenes done like this in one 'movie' video is fantastic! @AFGuidesHD please do this.
Everybody gangsta until jk simons say "tatakae" over and over again
Why time travelling is a
bad idea history is changed because of erasing Einstein
Hitler is the first one got erased tho
@@Ope-que i know
It's because you know the Soviets wanted to save them selves now imagine if Japan uses a time machine in ancient china...
@@artken4901 yea there is in the mod call corona mod Tatsu saved Genkhis khan live and his mongols

@@blagojpejov4155 since the celestial empire is created should they thank Japan they existed? I mean two powerful country conquer half of asia?
Funny. The General was the president in GI Joe...alternate universe indeed.
The amount of money slung at the FMV actors in this game was Version 0.5 of the Avengers.
Hanzo Hasashi made it and became Emperor of Rising Sun
Everyone else is dressed normally, and the Japanese look like MK characters, or that one Sean Connery movie.
Cronprince Tatsu seems to be alike Hanzo Hasashi in MK11
I'm thrilled by all the big name actors in this. NICE.
One of the best cutscenes ever
Love how these serious actors ham it up just enough for the game acting
There needs to be a new C&C game. I miss cutscenes and stories like these
Peter Stormare, Jonathan Pryce, J.K. Simmons and George Takei? Impressive cast.
1:23
When you really go into a diabetic coma
0:20 The Replacer, what are you doing here?
This actually explains that part in the Allies campaign
Yep, it benefits the Japanese a lot to have the coalition between the Allies and the Soviets ended.
Holy shit that's a stacked cast. JK Simmons, George Takei, Peter Stormare, AND Jonathan Pryce?
I would legit watch this movie in the theaters
I really miss this series. Wish they would bring it back.
Holy crap, I never realized how heavy the casts are in this game
the emperor yoshiro will be sad and the katana sword will give to his son crown prince tatsu 1:58
they should make these games into a actual tv show or movie
Gen.Johnathan Pryce retired and opened up his own newspaper company
and Professor Peter Stormare became a Nihilist.
Based on a true story.
Like killing Hitler before WW2
@0:13, hey, it's Gorb from the Cinco Boy™
