Have fun taming Broken Tooth, the first time I was sitting north spawn location and he spawned in front of me, I got ganked by 2 night elf hunters while I had 2 seconds left of taming. Watching one of them tame him while I was in spirit. Second time, my guild leader brought the guild and they camped each spawn location and killed every alliance in sight. Good luck fellow hunters
Same spawn for me the first time i got there first obviously but another horde hunter killed the cat for god knows what reason, like u would lessen the competition if you just let me tame it but its the horde i guess, since i knew the exact time after waiting for 6+ hours i came back 8 hours after it was killed only to realize the spawn timer is different for every layer, just when i was about to give up a guildie invited me and i changed layers and on my way back to camp he was there and i got it. So just go in the morning and hop from layer to layer and you will easily get it
Was doing the level 50 elite quest for the pre bis chest when one of the guys i was running with found broken tooth the rest of the group stayed and guarded it while i stabled my ghost cat. They killed some poor Nelf hunter going for it. I returned the favor by kiting the elite dragons for them.. enjoy the gear boys
hey! i have a question, i just got brokentooth but i want to know, once i level him to 40 hes gonna learn prowl and dash level 2 by himself or do i need to tame another 40 cat in order to get it, ty
Hunters, don’t turn you exp weakness rune quest in and tame that good looking falcon as your pet. It comes with lvl 2 screech. Only model in the game. Nothing beats a good looking pet Btw a question for all the hunters. I have both 2.0 cat and 1.2 cat, I kind of notice 1.2 cat gets less crits on its abilities. Not sure if it’s true….
i kept the aspect of lion rune owl in wetland as my pet, it is also unique owl in this entire game, others will be either grey or white, i personally prefer owl as a 'realistic' pet

how long does it take for your cat to learn Dash rank 2, I got a ridgestalker in badlands and I learned prowl in a matter of a couple kills but dash rank 2 doesn't seem to want to work.. ? any help would be appreciated.
It's based on ability use. So just spam the dash button whenever it's off cooldown to try to speed it up. It's pure rng, mine learned it the first time it used the spell.
Nice video, very simple and straight forward. i do have a question though, do you turn off bite and macro it with flanking strike ? or keep bite on auto cast ?
You can have 4 abilities, in this video I say to use growl, bite, claw, and then dash or prowl if you want a multi use pet in raid and out of raid. If it's a raid only cat I'd cut growl
I do have another video on this. Tldr is boomies provide a debuff called dreamstate which buffs nature dmg by 20% allow wind serpents to surpass cats on high armor mech bosses. ua-cam.com/video/GU1dU56V_Vs/v-deo.html
How are Scorpids on high armor Gnomer fights. There is a new rank of poison at 40, they are longer fights so stacks can climb to 5 and they have Claw to focus dump as well as they can be had with a 2.0 Attk Spd? or is it just inferior to Bite.
Windserpents seem to be performing better here but scorpids got hit with the nerf bat pretty hard in p1. Many of the top parsing dps on mech fights are melee hunters using mekkatorques arcano shredder and a balance druid using dreamstate giving about 26% increased nature damage taken allowing wind serpents to pump. I have another vid on my channel talking about it
my cat had cower. and it cant learn more then 4 skills. is there no way to unlearn? Ore o i have to find a new cat and make sure it dont have cower? ;.(
It's definitely the best change they could have made without fully nuking the spec. Definitely going to bring the dps down but hopefully not horribly. Might shift what's bis for the class as well in terms of weapons. Ill be running gnomer tonight so Ill have more thoughts after that.
it's like an 11% overall dps nerf total, ranged hunter is still not viable and melee hunter is still top 3. only thing that changed was you're no longer locked to using same type of wep on mh and oh and you no longer are going surv
Random question, what pet would be best to help the most or be the most impactful against skull level mobs. Would it be wolf for howl? Or would that get resisted
What about scorpion, is it any good for gnomeregan? Because of the high armour of the bosses i thought it is maybe a better option than a pure physical dmg pet.
So i have a question. Can my cat train bite, claw, dash and prowl? or i must choose dash or prowl because i need the crowl ability too?And need to find one pet without cower because it take one slot from my abilities right? What cat i can taimed with 2.0 attack speed and without any skill or it got only skill that i need?

Any numbers on skipping a pet altogether? Was so sad in phase 1 with nerfed Lone Wolf that we couldn't play Hunter without a pet, but it should be more viable the higher level we get right?
I did my first gnomer as Survival Melee with lone wolf. It is or at least was 100% viable but lion is still just so good that it's going to be prio for most raid groups. We had a ranged hunter run lion so I could run lone wolf and yeah it pumps. Not sure if that will remain true for prebis gear with the weapon normalization in yesterday's patch, but I'd imagine it will still be good with gnomer gear. I have a feeling deep BM with lion will perform the best right now, especially until you have gnomer weapons
Mass killing mobs a few levels below you would be one option, so like lvl 36 mobs if you're lvl 40. Running dungeons w/ the pet would likely yield the best xp possible but you probably don't want to bring a lvl 21 pet into SM lol
if you are melee hunter the wolf is so much better bc of the howl. just have bm rune on to get more focus for it to spam howl. Also its really nice with flanking strike bc the wolf howl isnt consumed on flanking strike allowing you and your pet to get extra damage on flanking strike and then a raptor strike
which one is better, melee with lone wolf rune no pet or melee heart of lion rune with cat 2.0 AS. and is it possible to get claw, bite, prowl and dash without growl? i think that is max damage ability you can get.
With prebis gear with lion seems to be better. With gnomer fists I think lonewolf with survival spec will perform better for melee hunter. Yes you can choose to not get growl to minmax dps
It's actually based on ability use. Keep having the pet use dash and prowl and it should pop up in your chat log. For those abilities in particular you may not even need to be in combat
They're equal to cats with their raw numbers but cannot learn dash or prowl, making them inferior. All I said was that they're an inferior version of cat
I just tamed Bhag'Thera which has a 1.5 attack speed at lvl 40 and hes lvl 40 to begin with , I previously had a Ghost Saber but am now thinking to grab Ghost Saber again instead for the 2.0 attack speed . Is there really THAT much of a difference in both PVE / PVP , as I do both and just want to know what Cat I should put my time and effort into .
So the tldr here is that with flanking strike you force an extra attack from your pet. Slower attack speed let's hit harder with each individual attack. Since flanking strike is one of your primary abilities if you're playing melee I'd say it's relevant enough for sure. That being said though I'd just tame the 2.0 speed cat from badlands that I mention in the video rather than another ghost saber. Leveling a fresh ghost saber sounds like pain.
Well, the lower the speed, the faster it hits, right? so why a cat at 2.0 and not below? and why this: LOL at the beginning of the message? =) @@SolidJakeGG
