Hey guys. I’ve been in the infantry, a police officer and wish I had known about aikido. Now I’m near 70 but still healthy and active. I like your philosophy of short and fast fighting. I’m too old to go three rounds and thugs nowadays usually come in groups of 2-3. In Texas I legally carry but I know from experience that it can happen close and quick. A fast take down may give me a chance to get out of the danger zone. Always, looking forward for your next video. Thanks Charlie

My daughter goes to a playgroup. I have told her to forgive just once. So if any kid messes with her, she just throws that kid to the floor. Every kid in her class knows not to mess with her. The teacher did call me once to complain. I told her, I cannot tell my kid to always be nice and get beaten up. It is natural for her to defend herself, that's your job to prevent that from happening.

I used to use a similar move in the dojo when the guy I was sparring with would turn his back for a back kick or spinning kick , I would step into him fast and hit him ( pull the punch ) on the back of the neck .The natural instinct is to step back out the way ,but we were taught the opposite.Good move under the chin as a palm heel strike under the chin can kill .But if I was in a life threatening situation and could not get away I would do it it possible.

Thank you. The first movement is one I teach to students after a few years. Once I feel they can be trusted. This is a Chin-Na lock of the cervical vertibrae. It works with little effort and is very effective. You can find the root of this technique in the Yang style of Tai Chi Ch'uan where it hides out as Step Back Repulse Monkey. There are of course a few minor adjustments that can be made increasing its lethality, and opening up greater opportunities for its use. Of course the local idiot will say something stupid like" Everyones got a plan until they get punched in the face". Its true. But Mike Tyson was and is an expert in his field. The local idiot is hardly competent in even basic technique. And it is just such a fool this technique proves most satisfying to use against.
Or something else. Theres always something else. Thanks homeboy. Love your expression of Aikido.

let me be a local fool for a minute: it's not only that punch will change the initial plan you had for the fight but every movement of your opponent will also change your initial plan. nobody will give you that takedown that easily, you will have to set it up and even then you might have to go for something else instead. we are talking about 2 constantly moving bodies not some stiff immobilised objects. pull it off in actual sparring against the person that doesn't want to give that. better yet, go to judo class MMA class and try it even with someone that trained for few months just. good luck - your bubble will burst in a matter of seconds

hello teacher. Allow me to add to this unique move an alternative :
immediately after the block, simply kick his front leg closer to you and i think that's just about where the fight ends with a srtaight punch to the face while he 's on the ground. It happened to me in a real street fight!
I chose to use the leg kick instead of the face twisting.
The guy was some 1 feet taller than me, and 40-50 pounds heavier.
While as i was on my bike at the traffic light, he started swearing at me next to me. He was on a bike too with another lad at the back seat.
He was caling me names all the time.
I got off my bike andi tried unsuccesfully ro push him back so to fell off his bike (my biggest mistake) but somehow he grabbed my arms (he was twice as strong as i was) he pushed them back and away, and immediately he managed to strike me twice on the face with a hummering left and right punch right in the left and right eyebrows over my eyes.
I got sevelrely dizzy. My eyes were swelled immediately. they got dark, & my ears were humming,.
I was about to pass out, when i gathered all my strengths inside my sou and i managed to stay awake, othewise God knows if he wasn;t carrying a knife and kill me dead spot!!
So when he thought he could finsih me off as i was woobling all over the place for a moment, he released another hard pair of left & right punches exactly the same way he did first place, right on the face but i saw them coming this time.
I ducked, i avoided both left & right punches right under his arns, ithen lifted my body up, grabbbed him with both hands by the shirt on his chest, kicked his front leg and i twisted him with my both hands at the same time to the ground, and he slammed down on the ground. like a hippo in the water tank with a big splat.. .
Immediately i jumped on his belly and managed a punch so hard, i heard the back of his sculp making a goopy moise on the asphalt!
He went to sleep in blood all over his nostrils... The guy nect to hm who was as big as him, didn;t even come close to takle care of his buddy.

You are right - the thrust on the head can lead to KO. So it is important to know that the hands may just guide the opponent. The hip and the twist are the source of power here.

But I say, don't wait for them to attack. Soon as they invade your space, fake a left jab, distracting them, then combine a chin-jab with the sweep/trip. You can move straight in, putting one of your feet between their legs, or to one side, as you strike and push under the chin simultaneously, making sure they trip over your foot/leg.

See I like his technique where he comes in as the guy is throwing a punch. But there’s a few different things you can do when you come in as they’re swinging. You can come in as they’re swinging, grab their arm and kick their knee out behind them. They’ll fall on the ground and you like I said you’ll still have their arm in your grasp. So after they fall down you have control of their arm. When they’re on the ground, they’ll be laying on their back. While they’re laying down, you can twist their arm and dislocate it and you can also kick them in the ribs more than likely breaking their ribs with 1 foot and kick them in the face breaking their nose and possibly knocking teeth out their mouth and breaking their nose. Plus also they’re gonna be so busy trying to tap out while you have ahold of their arm as their on the ground but you’ll have control because they won’t be able to move. I would hate to have to do it to someone but if situations like that were to arise then by all means this is something you can also do. But I do like his technique 💯

I train jujutsu. We have a technique very similar to yours, except we don't grab the chin, but the nose and eyes.
Awesome stuff, thank you for sharing, please keep it coming.

I learned something similar. .except it was either a palm to theunder jaw or a throat grab...quite effective.

Great technique but take note that it can rapture the opponents neck while pushing our hand on his neck in a forceful manner. His neck will be snapped back even b4 we throw him down to floor

This is pretty good and effective but IMO you should also note that you can only do this if the guy pushes the punch forward, or the boxers and youtube skeptics will be all "that will never work on me" and all that
