You can't help but like him.
He's such a happy, kindly guy who's a real confidence builder.. (but what a killer dude!)
Agreed 👊 👏👏
I think he is Idris Alba's stunt man
I just started my first Aikido lesson last night... I'm training beside my 8 yr old son and we come home and watch your videos together. We both enjoyed the way you explain and show how it's done.
Thank you so much for this. 🙏❤️
I got attached by a teenager with a knife this past Friday night (29/7/2922) . First is the shock that I was being threatened by a demon possessed child ! Confused, should I kill him or run (it was two of them, both in mid teens) I ran backwards while asking him what he was doing . He eventually left me alone as we were entering a public area ! In retrospect I should have said to him, "I bring the blood of Jesus against you and simultaneously kick him in the knee followed by retreating ! I did it once In the past and it worked because the words have power and it dissorientates the attacher . You are also calling on the spirit world to enter the fight with you ! Another "combination" is to say "I claim Hebrews 4:12 and Psalm 91 " and then attack ! Sounds crazy , but that has also worked for me , and the aggressor just crossed the street and walked away !
Great guy
I love this guy, I wish I could train with him.
Dojo will be open soon. Thanks for the love. 👍🏾✊🏾👊🏾
Yeah he's pretty awesome. But if you train he's one of many good resoures
Yes. Or with Azu. 😅
Crap man
Then why are you watching this video? Know it all.
This is a very well taught technique here brother. Even at my age now I'm learning more and more on your channel. Thank you
Hello there Azu. Excellent presentation as usual. That’s true, a “measured response” is key. Azu, you da Man!
This was a gem of a move. I always see your heart through your videos. Love your vibe, brother!
Thank you Azu you are very helpful I trained for three years and watching you teach brings back some of the teachings of my teacher. Those are great moves I learned them in school.
Great technique. Fast forward to 4:27 to get to the action. I love this- it is a one strike blow that will end it immediately. The best fight ending technique I have seen on UA-cam.
Fast forward indeed .. as usual with this channel 🙄- then get shown ‘ killer technique’ what .. twice. Like Azu’s enthusiasm etc but my patience is tested virtually every vid . !
I love this and the chop to the neck also, if he starts to get up after that I’m running
One to the groin and one to the eyes before you leave bro’.
🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!!
"Now" gets me everytime. Thanks azu (and all the others teaching us and possibly some people that are only behind the screens) keep it up
Remember let him.throw the first punch so cctv can see so it won't be ur fault for iniate the fight
Thanks Chris, I really appreciate the love. 🙏🏾
@@azuspointofview5110 'course man, least i can do is tell you hoe much it helps, maybe look at some of the merchandise too ;)
The content is at least not like mma, which looks to hurt people while aikido can help on the street, the dark season might deviate from the traditional stuff but it's still better for both. If you can't love that you should be imprisoned. I wrote an entire story here (probably not too coherent either) but that only shows how much i appreciate this channel. I'll stop now, as long as you don't! Thanks again my friend!
@@ryanmurphy7300 great tip man, seems obvious but easy to forget when it actually happens when the adrenaline flows through your veins
Been a doorman for 32 years and a Head Doorman for 15 of those. This IS the number 1 move that has saved my ass many, many times and a great basis to steam into some other potentially pavement fight ending moves.
Yeah but you can easily kill someone by hitting them in the throat. Then you will have to face prison time if that person didn't have a weapon and threatened you with it.
@@ramakrishnashalom9004 I don't think the throat is the dangerous part here. Hitting the head on the concrete, is. However you always have the right to defend yourself and if someone stumbles bad while trying to seriously hurt you, it's not your fault and I can't imagine a court will hold you liable for it.
A well executed slap or web hand to the trachea is a fight ender . A well executed throat punch , knife hand or stomp = A kill shot . An immediate tracheotomy would be required to save the life of the recipient and is obviously not likely to happen . "Pulling the crushed trachea back out so the recipient can breathe" is a total myth .
@@ramakrishnashalom9004 The idea that you shouldn't use a potentially lethal technique while your life is in danger because you may face prison time is laughable. Legally (and I am a lawyer) proportionality is the key in establishing a self defense defense in most of the US states - I can't speak for other countries and legal systems; but once you can demonstrate that you had a reasonable fear that you or your family lives were in danger you are free to use whatever means necessary, and for us martial artists of all levels that may well be the most deadly technique that we have learned. But even if were not so: your choice would be to sacrifice your or your family's lives to some thug because of fear of prison time?

Thanks Azu this was a great simple lesson for all of us especially the senior generation.
THANK YOU! You're one of my favorite aikido guys. so very appreciated♥️
Much love. Thanks for the appreciation. 👍🏾
lol ll lol
Your moves are good. They're simple enough that even us older guys (72) can master them easily. Thanks. God bless.
Always great content in these videos and seems like a great guy. My ‘go to’ is a very similar move.. palm heel uppercut under the chin (or side palm strike to side of the neck) Any of these 3 are immediate elimination
* in close quarters OR when you’ve been hit first - a move that’s served me well for years is the old hockey fight move - grab their right arm with your left hand and keep them off balance while administering 1 of these 3. Hard to attack when someone has control of your arm and keeping you off balance. 2 to 3 seconds and threat eliminated. Don’t ever look to ‘fight’
Oooooo. Online academy.....fantastic news. I love in Houston, Tx and this will be amazing
so true, attacking vulnerable spots with open hand gives you time to escape.
I like the video but really appreciate your attitude and great mood.
I love the chop to the neck, to stop a flight in 2 minutes video
Im an old man 67 this year. im still in fairly good physical condition. over the years ive studied judo and ju-jitsu. you mentioned that things are getting any better on the streets. I still need to be able to protect myself and/or my loved ones. the techniques you demonstrate can be life saving. but you know they must be practiced in order to become proficient in using them. Most of the dojos in my town there are a bunch of young bucks who dont want to either grapple with an old man or they have tried to hurt me. I cant shadow box to perfect the techniques you teach. what can i do?
I hope you can find a trustworthy partner. Are there any other clubs or ways to find someone sensible locally maybe? Like find taichi place and offer to teach someone and recruit them
I get you know way more than me, and this might sound dumb but I heard that really interesting thing where like they proved that an athlete measurably improves their performance by doing the task over and over in the mind first,
If it works for other sports there must be some effect in martial arts too, I often think that generally practicing health/flexibility/positive mind set has a large impact on performance, obviously we can't really practice for all possibilities and some moves are too dangerous to go full force.
Just some thoughts 🙏
Find a similar minded sparring partner. Head down to his gym on holiday. Book in the sessions. Or whatever.
Hire a Sparring Partner from your local gym ? 😁
Practice Ukemi until it is unconscious. Knowing how to fall without getting hurt has saved me from injury many more times than fighting. You will get to the point where taking falls on concrete has no effect. Stretching and general exercise prevent injuries. I'm 67, I get a lot of exercise as a Industrial Diesel Generator and Marine propulsion mechanic. I practice my falls. On occasion I practice with some AiKi Jujitsu and Aikido people I know. Not often enough. Supplements for joint mobility and healing plus enzymes like Bromelain work wonders in both Conditioning. Consult with Knowledgeable People about nutrition and supplements.
I studied Aiki Jujitsu with a Former Rikkusentai. He was born in 1900. In the 1970s he was an absolute physical monster, with stamina, flexibility, strength and reflexes that would be amazing in a person of any age. That is what happens when you work out every day for 60 years! It's not too late, but it takes more effort than when we were 15!
I'm 47 years old and I learnt this teqnique in my karate dojo. It was very street orientated. Narrow stance like a boxer not like shotokan. I never had to use it but I am trying to teach my 12 year old who has Autism and dyspraxia. Only for defense. Love your vids dude. I had to subscribe. Keep em coming as it's a lot like my freestyle karate. Cheers from Australia 👍👍👍
Great technique used to good effect often in pro sumo, you guys rock it!
As a martial artist i have always looked and will continue to look at quality channels like this one for the content. Im at the stage now where I can absorb and educate myself rather than going to train with others.
My "method" relies on quick calculated aggressive techniques using wing chun and augmented with "old school" (professor R Clarke system) JuJitsu.
Looking at this a couple of points came to mind.
I could've stopped the attack at 3.57 without even entering punching range. As the opponent delivers the front kick volition dictates that he would have had to reconnect with the ground offering me a perfect opportunity to deliver a response to the leading leg providing I continue to control my distance and remain at kicking range, and listen to his body language.
From my perspective . . .
There are 3 opportunities to negate any attack
A/ intercept the attack before it happens
(line is opening) this is preferable as the attack has not yet gathered enough speed or volition to do any damage.
B/ Move in, block, counter (which is what this technique is) and as we all know this is limited because out in the real world aggressive people dont leave the attacking limb "hanging" they rush in at 100mph so try blocking all that and survive . . . . good luck with that!
C/ Remain in kicking range and when the line has closed (his foot has reconnected with the ground) you strike to the leading leg or kneecap, this will work if the opponent is rushing in and generate more power leading to extensive damage.
The latter requires good timing and an understanding of rythymn.
However the point of my post is that whilst tutorials like these are invaluable for martial artists they can also be of use to anyone who watches and surely this could possibly be picked up by some people and used in a live situation.
Being a martial artist is not all about accruing techniques you also have to accept responsibility for what you do and sometimes forced to do. Look up "reasonable force" then you will see what a minefield the law is when it comes to self defence.
Striking someone in the throat could potentially kill or seriously maim them. In Wing Chun we are taught to do this as well as attack the eyes
Azu makes it perfectly clear this is a last resort technique and so it should be.
Dark Moves...just in time for Spring 🌻🌞
@@t-jaylardner8887 I'm sure we'll get some lighter moves come Winter
Additionally, the neck is often defended by clothes. A shirt and tie is pretty good at taking the edge off. Don't ask me how I know - but I've been on the receiving end.
Interesting and worthwhile video.
A snake hand also works well.
Sounds like a wrestling move.
Amazing technique!
I Like this BROTHER ..really cool and effective moves.
This move is a Kelly McCann special. Usually not fatal, unlike a edge hand strike or thumb thrust that may collapse the wind pipe. After the initial strike you also have the option of a take down while controlling the aggressors arm should he need to be restrained.
Love going for throat. Taught it for years Good presentation
i see that breaking ones thumb very easy
Always good advice as a last resort could save your life...
3:59 Azu hit him so hard and fast that's its almost like camera stopped and I missed the entire thing. 😮
I’ve actually used this technique on 2 different occasions. Worked very well. Fight ender both times.
Thanks again I love you guys energy.
Sensible,honest and fairly realistic vid!👍
Love and miss these guys, they're great story tellers,it draws us all in.Does anyone know why they have stopped posting content?
You are a true gentleman as your defense is proportional to the attack....Like it !!
Great channel
I've been following for some time now
All great moves
It is super dangerous because afterwards the dude goes to sleep that night and his larnex swells up and he's gone.
I appreciate that move that will probably save my life 👊👍
Excellent demo sir!
KILLER move! (literally!) Good video and advice. :-)
I like it, a big thanks from a Moroccan Aïkidoka
Like Aikido Juggle Boxer when pushed back then catch hit over and over.
The same here, been a bouncer for 15 years, used this move 95% of the incidents i've had, usually followed by a headlock so if they aint finished fighting i could cut the air supply or run their head into a wall or a door, out they got...
Not where I'm from !! LOL Bouncers get their asses kicked all the Time ! lol
Please teach us the aduket you threw at 3:59 mark. I know u had to edit it out but please do a clip on ADUKETS!!!
Azu, you have great media presentation skills. I think you should get a lot more exposure.
You good sir are fun to watch.
To all thank you for sharing your wisdom,
knowledge is great,
love is good
what’s next? We don’t know.
I have permanent scars across my face from a bottle attack. I got away by using a move from Filipino martial arts. My point is that when you are in a literal life-or-death situation, as I was, all ideas about fairness and 'honourable' fighting go out the window. You do what you have to do to stay alive. It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission!
Fantastic video's your top notch sir!
Could u do a vid on moves that can put someone out cold. Iam small and skinny so got nothing to put behind it although i know its technique still its hard for a "fragile" lol. Like using there force to put them down. Great channel. :)
Thank you, Azu. Simple moves that can save you. Great!!!
The trained fighter will always have the edge on the street drunk .just lashing out with his fists.
I had situ years ago .like asu said . Some people mistake kindness 4 weakness .and u have 2 slam them down hard . To set a presedent
Adding this to my drills.
Cheers.
It's so apparent, that he is a trained professional....
yes, trained in bullshido
I love it thanks my brother
I love his videos.
You're my favorite Aikido guys!
Thanks fella's.
Sound technique, but I wouldn't do the strike with the thumb out. I dislocated my thumb one time executing a similar move, damn, that hurt. Probably safer to go with a ridge hand or a chop.
Great character, and an interesting video
Is it that cold in the UK that you need a Canada Weather gear? LOL
A technical question. If a guy can punch and can kick, he is probably holding his chin to his chest. So where you would apply the attack in this case?
I think under his nose... but that can very much kill him...
Thanks ,I always like your videos,.I need to let you know, for merchandising, That your Tshirt is not readable on my screen, with white letters on a light background. Hope that helps.
This guy is great
he finally busts a move at 3:55 💪😎🤚
Azu great teachings👌
I used this before, but I hit the solar plex area then slid my hand up the chest to the throat. Knocked a guy over a chair and didn’t hurt him to bad. Amazing!!
Great video! and move!
GO 4 THE THROAT! 👍🏻🏴
Great video. I am new here. I subscribed. Which course What your average guy need to purchase? For street smarts.
Never bring your claws/fists to a gunfight.
So glad to see you ladd. 🤔👊👍
Love this channel!
I think hitting them on the throat hard enough it might actually end their life bc it could block all their breathing cords that is why it’s such a op move
Love ur vids sir
Getting Counter Attack training from my British Brothas sounds so scholarly 🤣. He constantly says I would rather NOT hurt anyone, but if my assailant leaves me NO choice 💥💥💥💥 🤣👊🏾🔥😇
Thx thisis great 👍👏🎀🙏
This guy's hands are friggin enormous
Thanks very much
Thank you master🙏
Going for the throat has long been my preferred response.
Very nice.. I love it
How would you defend against someone like a Lenny Mc Lean attacker?
Good stuff Sir! :)
The throat strike is demonstrated from 3.30 to 5.30 so if you're short of time that is the bit to watch..
ME too…wish I had him teaching me…3x/week😏
Dude has big hands! Looks like he could just palm your coconut like a 🏀
🤾
I love this guy! He's fun as well as informative . . . nice one!
Thanks for the video
I have 2 black belts. 1 in Smith and Wesson. 1 in running away.
For people with smaller hands than you, would a punch do the same thing?
I love this I wish I could fight like him
Class 💪👏👏
Excellent but how can I concentrate if you haven’t swept up your leaves in a zen state first😂
You cuz, I noticed your around near Mobberley and the estates, do you still train at Mobberley???
I live them streets n estates 2
So what is the difference between Aikido techniques and Judo?
