- ~Another fun day fishing for bass with buzzbaits and chatterbaits, even got a bonus bass at the end on the trusty frog! Had some rain/overcast skies to start, then the sun began to pop out towards the end of my trip. Not much for size, a few decent ones with several smaller fish. Thanks for watching!
Buzzbait Setup:
Rod: Cashion 7'3" medium heavy fast action rod
Reel: Shimano SLX XT 7:2:1 gear ratio
Line: 30# power pro spectra braid
Chatterbait Setup:
Rod: Okuma Tournament Special 7' medium heavy "all purpose"
Reel: Shimano SLX XT 6:3:1 gear ratio
Line: Trilene big game monofilament 15#
Frog Setup:
Rod: Bass Pro Shops Carbon Lite 2.0 7' Heavy fast action
Reel: Shimano Tranx 201 HG 7:2:1 gear ratio
Line: 50# power pro spectra braid

Thanks for watching as always! The buzzbait bite is more inconsistent/situational this time of year. Once September/October comes around they should be all over it again. Even when the water temps drop to 53 degrees.

Are those buzzbaits from Blackwater sports? Looks just like the ones I got there a few weeks ago.
No, these are megastrike cavitron buzzbaits i got from tackle direct. I have seen the ones from blackwater but haven’t purchased yet. Thanks for watching!
@@AlexanderBronskyFishing those mega strike buzzbaits are awesome as well. You can roll them much slower than most. Better chance at a fish grabbing them. And they do have a distinct sound to them!
