      it makes practice fun! Even boring scales and chords take on new meaning when you wah-ify them.

    I agree with R.D.L. - Your knowledge is top self. Teaching skills are masterful. You are concise in your explanation of the subject at hand. Plus, you keep things moving at a nice pace. Viewers take note, whenever Steve finishes a phrase, he automatically turns the volume knob down. That is the sign of a professional. Bravo Steve.

    So many players overuse wah, or rock it too harshly. Good video, and well used wah stylings.

    This is the first video I've seen to articulate exactly how I use Wah, particularly to blend slow subtle tone change over runs and to accentuate bends and sustain into feedback. One thing I've noticed is that you use your left foot to Wah, as I do, which I think helps mate the Wah to the feel you are putting into solos. I find right foot on the Wah makes me follow the rhythm hand - more "Jimi" like. Great video!

    Thank you for the video. You saved me some money, I don’t think I’m ready to be fooling around with this wah pedal stuff. I have enough trouble just focusing on visualization of my scales without adding another layer in there. Maybe when I get better on guitar I can work on adding some things in but not now.

    Hi Steve, I actually had that pedal but unfortunately at the time I didn't know and didn't have much experience with a Wah or Rocktron multi affect pedals!! So I got rid of it!! MY QUESTION is where do I put the wah in my chain? I have a Rocktron Chameleon and I put it first and plug it into the Unit! but it doesn't sound that great. in fact it has no vocal element at All!! it also has A very POOR response! Your help would greatly appreciate it!

    Great steve.. i have boss gt100, katana artist , ltd ec1000 active pickups fishman .. how can i reach your tone specially with lead+ wah ? There r many knops in wah there .

    • @Guitarzoom
      @Guitarzoom  Рік тому +1

      Hi Ramy! As I mentioned in the video the great thing about this pedal is the big range of frequencies. Try adjusting the tone on your guitar and you can also play around with the eq settings on the gt100. I tend to keep the eq settings for the overdrive sound boosting just a touch the high freq and cutting just a touch the low freq. Midrange is generally set at 12 o'clock and the sound comes basically from a kemper profiler. Hope this helps!

    Why do I have to try so hard to get a good harmonic but you make it look so effortless?! I just keep banging away at the strings and changing my attack angle, picks, ect and can’t get one for the life of me when I want it.

      Thanks for watching, Brian! Remember, Steve had to figure all this stuff out, too. It only looks easy now because he's put literally decades of work into his guitar playing.
      And the more you bang away, the more you'll find those harmonic sweet spots you're looking for. So don't give up... keep banging away! :-)

    I got a Bad Horsey for the same reason w/a Cry Baby live I would sometimes find it hard to tell if I click it off or when I would Stand on it I'd be switching it off & on…I know they make a switchless Cry Baby but I had an old Morely that sound GREAT!!!! It's the one like Cliff played not the "Reissue" which is not the same as what Burton played. I never could get the time set right for the cut off on the Bad Horsey there's a lil pot you can tweak inside to shorten or lengthen the time if drops out of circuit when you step off of it. You don't want it to dead stop that don't sound right or hold on to long…Maybe I should get the switchless Cry Baby the Q95 something like that.

    I have the Bad Horsie 2 pedal and an Ibanez Jem. lol Awesome lesson, I really enjoyed the "Gear" topic and how to use it. Could you consider doing similar topics on how to achieve certain tones with the guitar? I know some of these may involve specific pedals, but that's exactly the sort of info I'm looking for. What pedals to make me sound like (name of favorite song/artist here). Thank you Steve!
