Ugh, I feel so happy when I hear someone talk about stationary in the way you do. I still haven't found someone in my real life to understand it like other people on the web feel about planners, paper, pens, and notebooks. The joy of writing buying something new trying something outside your comfort zone. Feels refreshing, thank you! By the way, for someone who loves earth tones, that sepia ink color is to die for! Love it ♥
I’m interested in fountain pens! You should do a video on your experience with different kinds, and different ink and ink colors you’ve tried, what works best on a wider variety of paper types, and what your tried and true favorite is! And pros and cons for those (even if the con is simply you didn’t like a certain color!)! 💚
I am trying to finish up my 2nd journal so I can move into a better quality paper. I haven’t decided yet if I want to go A5 or B6 though. I also don’t know if I want to go Tomoe River or Cosmo Air Light 😂. Both papers and sized are so good it is hard to choose. I am leaning toward a B6 because it takes me a while to fill a journal and that way I can more quickly get to try out the other options (while still enjoying the one I start with).
YES! It's so fun when the collage makes sense to what you're writing. I started doing this type of collage you said (the whole notebook before writing) with my current, because I made it with green pages and, well, after a few months (it's a really big journal), I got bored uhauhsuahs so a collage the rest and it's really cool! But I don't know if I'll do that again in the next, I kinda like having free space to do whatever I want
Your collage is so pretty! I love the term intuitive collage. That’s an excellent way to describe the process. I never considered filling a journal all at once and it’s a lovely idea. Sometimes I like adding things to my pages and sometimes I like the process of journaling in a meditative state with just ink and paper. How beautiful is journaling that there are so many wonderful possibilities? ☺️ Thank you for sharing!
A new journal equals a new beginning. Can’t believe how much time has passed. Wishing you luck and extra creativity on your next journal, Tina ✨You can’t have too many journals in your life. They’re one of the best things to have.
I’m so excited to see this video today! I took myself to Michael’s earlier this week and I found the three sectioned journal that you used a few summers ago! I had to snag one because I thought yours was so cool then. It seems like this one is a bit more rectangular than yours was, but I’m still very happy! It’s going to be my post grad summer artsy experimenting journal and I’m so excited for it!
I know it’s personal but I really miss when you would read excerpts from your journals, it’s so inspiring. But if you don’t feel comfortable I totally understand
Yay new journals woohoo!! I just finished my first ever journal last week and took your advise and have waited to write in the last couple of pages but inspiration has not hit yet. But so exciting you got a Midori, I just had to giggle at your explanation of your pen test cause I love paper and how the ink sits on paper I have just a plain jane journal but I did buy a tomoe river little book just for my fountain pen inks too see how they look.
I loved this! Coincidentally, I’ve recently started a new journal and felt it was too pristine, so I’ve gotten back into collating too, after not doing it in the last journal.
I actually just started collaging in my journals again too (inspired by watching some of your older videos), so that being one of your journaling intentions is very exciting for me. I can't wait for potentially more collage in your content. And I love the collage on the cover!!
I started a new journal at the beginning of march and because it’s a big A4 I also started using intuitive collage again. It’s something that stuck with me after watching one of your older videos and it really makes me love writing in it instead of feeling intimidated by all those empty pages. It’s really interesting that you love your bold Lamy so much. I really need a fine nib to like my handwriting and I somehow always come back to a cheap blue pen instead of a fancy fountain pen.
The collage on your Midori is beautiful! 😍🦋 I just started a new journal this morning as well (although mine is real cheap and from the dollar store because I’m trying to use all the notebooks I currently have) and it just feels so good to complete a journal and start a new one. I’m so glad I enjoy writing and writing is a big part of my life. Happiness lies in what is considered mundane 💖 i hope you have a great week!
Hello Tina! I’ve been trying to collage as I go but I really like the idea of prepping the journal first with collage ! Thank you always for sharing your gorgeous journals and inspiring us ! Lots of love to you ! ❤️🏠❤️☕️📚
I love using brown for Autumn, especially on coffee stained paper. Coffee, not tea, very different! But for Spring and Summer I love bright colours, purple at the moment, also love green and blue and I might use orange once it truly feels like summer !
I'm so happy you got a new journal it's such a pure & uniqueness joy you get from starting fresh ✨ I too am in the process off staring a new journal! It's a simple white A5 spiral one & I've decorated the cover a mix of whites, brows, & pinks but I feel a bit sad bc I'm not gonna be able to finish my old journal because it got impossible to lay flat or close & that's a little reason why I'm not enjoying journaling at the moment. Collage wise I plan before I write. I stick down random things before I write, when I don't, or after writing so that way I just write write write. I hope you enjoy & love your new friends :)
Aaaaawww, I simply love to "move in" a new notebook & would consider it as a serendipity, that I just moved in my new one today.....AND: it is an A6 MD Notebook as well..!!! Love, love, love your videos.....you´re such an inspiration & your love for journaling is one reason that keeps me writing as well.
You are such an influencer. ;) I have never tried a Midori notebook before (I do have Midori inserts for the Traveler's notebook), so I ordered an A6 ('small'). Can't wait to play in it.
Hi Tina- Tina here.. loving this notebook review. I’m definitely going to try Danika’s NB. Thank u. I’m a lover of Sepia/brown foundation pen ink as well as a bold nib.. I’ve tried to keep an open mind to fine nibs but don’t think they’re for me. I don’t have a huge or expensive collection, just a few; but I’m seriously in love w-Twisbi. There’s something to be said about a FP that has a little bit of weight to it- I’ve had plastic FP’s in the past so I tried a tad more expensive lines in the Twisbi. ($27-$57) these two alone have a difference in weight in my opinion) my starter pens were Lamy (♥️) in plastic form, and Kaweco. I understand it’s a limited range, but hopefully it’s a little pearl for ur FP journey. Happy writing. Always love ur musings.
A6s are great, I even take mine to work to write and doodle when I have nothing to do, especially since I got more seriously into creative writing. Do you like spiral notebooks? I do, it's easy to put extra pages in and they always lay flat and fold on themselves. Edit: also the tea test is a great idea! I don't own a fountain pen but I love spilling stuff on the pages lol
I stopped Journaling 2 months ago after my dog passed away. We adopted him as a senior, too. I had an A6 size and I wrote more about how I hated the notebook than anything else. Haha. I need to find my size preference and get back to it. I'm so curious what you write about. :)
yes! but oh man I was just about to get up to study/work. ugh its ok I think I'll use your video as a sort of reward/treat for myself after I've completed some (or all depending) of the assignment. But I just wanted to let you know that this MADE my day!!! Thank You!!!
Anddddd…it’s that time again! New journal alert ✨

Can I just say?… I’m still so happy you’re doing videos again. I didn’t think you would and I’m elated that you are. 😊

I’m about to finish my 7th journal and I’m so proud :))
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Ever since i stumbled upon your videos and the “intuitive collage” method I’ve been in love with the process! So I’m glad to see make a comeback.
Very interested in trying the Danika journals now. I LOVE that you’re experimenting with collage again. Your cover looks beautiful ☺️

@cece yes!! ✨ i 100% agree! 😍 Also i feel like because it’s a cheap notebook I feel less pressure to make it beautiful and aesthetic!

Thanks for the awesome video Tina! 💙

I’m currently in a Danika58 B6 and I LOVE IT!
I would love to hear some of your writings. Poetic writings. They inspire me so much, but I can’t seem to find any good videos here on UA-cam

I’ve never used a Midori MD.. this makes me want to dive into my A5 one but.. composition books are calling too. Eeeek. Decisions decisions.
I love these videos! 💕💙💞
Already wow 🤩
Woof!😂❤️
Can u share with us some of ur favorite songs in another video ? ❤
Your videos are both a balm for the soul and inspiration. Have you considered a Patreon?
yes! but oh man I was just about to get up to study/work.

I hate Clairefontaine paper. Wayyyyyy to glossy. It's horrible with fountain pen. It feels also terrible to me so write with a pen.
Hey been trying to reach you on messenger. Thx
