We love hearing from all of you!
Having Kevin covering the nuts and bolts side and Cleet covering the driving side of the event really compliments each other and gives us fans the whole picture. Great work guys! Almost like being there.
Couldn't agree more
For sure man!
Dude is a morning poster, been steadily posting early morning
Absolutely the best film combo of this event. Steve Morris and Tom Bailey are doing a good close second though.
hell of a lot better than watching dr moon tune fk the cars up with bogus tunes.
I can't wait to see Mullet when he's all dialed in and running high 6s.
Low 6s**
High 5s*****
@@trencher325
An optimist, I like it.
@@davee.9906 lol. Oops did I say high 5s? I meant high 3s😂
@@trencher325
I think you're high enough already. Lol
That last statement killed me Kevin. Haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I wasn't laughing at you, I was laughing with you. I feel your pain man! Hang in there. You will get it done. I have faith in you!
18:34 - Mullet making sure he’s peed before the long car journey
Just all that ‘Dew coming off the trip. Lol.
Chasing that tune, Kevin a true artist.
anyone else think kevin should make a pass? hes put so much work into this project, seeing him make a hit would be awesome
THAT SHOULD BE MANDATORY, GREAT SUGGESTION. YOU DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT THE CAR DOES UNLESS YOU FEEL IT YOURSELF.
@Cleetus UNLEASH THE BEAST THAT IS KEVIN!!!
Say what you want about Garret but damn that boy can drive.
Like Kevin said you don't wheel with radials or at least you don't unless you have some big ole coconuts.
To be able to turn in two slips with decent times at a so so condition track after changing gearing is not an easy task.
Well done y'all and what we've come to expect from one of the best damn race crews out there, not just on the Tube...
Loving all the live action
thanks so much for all the coverage and dad jokes kevin!
The struggle is real... good job battling thru it.. need to rip a 6 to bring the average back down..
Kurt love what your doing. You really need to change the rear springs on the coil overs. To short and to heavy of spring pressure, my two cents.
Thanks for sharing!
I bet Kevin can come up with a better system to loosen and tighten that fuel pump because that def seems like it will eventually wear out those threads. I also wonder if they add a tensioner to the middle of the alternator setup to help keep it on.
You guys are awesome! Thank you for helping me through my day. #Freedom Fries
YAY The outro music is back!!!
Kevin, first run it looks like it wheel hopped on the right rear only
Let's go!!! 200k is so close.
Kev u got my whole equilibrium off balance with the camera movements😅😅😅
Ya hit something in Indiana!?!?
No way!!
......good ole pothole pete will get right on that.
Track looked like "greased chicken shit"
Ugh dragging today woke up late grab the coffee let’s go
Baby steps
that track was so dirty spinning at the line from all the junk the cars were shacking loose no ones fault its the nature of the event but yeah that's a lot of pebbles
Can all that spinning be controlled by the speed sensors talking to the ecu traction control.
Wouldn’t a 3:56 gear have maybe worked a little better in the front half than the jump all the way down to 3:40, or no?
For this track, yes for sure.
Thanks for the early upload Kevin!
Quick question, why use a shock travel sensor only on the left of the rear axle?
And what sensor model is that?
Lets goooo!
Now my day just got better. Seems like the track was just crappy. Everyone struggled there.
From what I saw people kept dumping water from unsecured ice boxes, between all that it would be a pain for anyone to get a clean pass...
@@boboso4978 that and the track was just crappy. Seemed like the low track temp really messed up the prep
@@ithwitt yeah... I don't think anyone could get decent traction at all, it was definitely a drivers race... either scrub the run or drive through it...
moist
Can you sent up address for fan mail I think you should have a go pro chest mount when at the line or walking with both cameras
"Moist"
🤤
🤘😎👍
What did the second place guy run? I’m assuming everyone may have ran slower but I’ve not checked
FREAKIN KEVIN, " WE FORGOT JOHN FORCE TOUCHED THE CAR & GAVE US ALL THAT EXTRA HP. " LMAO.
Give Kevin credit, filming for 2 YT channels simultaneously, while tuning and mechanicing. Man can do it all.
He has 3 girls! Enough said lol, legend!
@@scjdiving7067 Excellent point ! God bless him
He truly is a one man band
With the amount of water that was being dumped on the track every pass from a lot of cars, getting a somewhat clean pass is a success. You have built a clean, solid hotrod and it shows. I’ve seen a lot of guys with new builds wear out a couple sets of slicks before the car makes a clean pass.
The one thing I can't stand about a KSR video that i hate the most is it comes to a end 😒 Keep them coming KSR one of the best channels on UA-cam HELL YEAH BROTHER
similarly, i keep expecting bloopers after the end card. cures you technology connections!
We were about to fight there for a second
Shout out to cleetus for inspiring daily uploads from KSR!
Make sure ol Cleet does not "accidentally" drive off and forget the hood.
Kevin, I love that track level Camera angle footage.. it can tell you a Lot . Use it Everytime.
More evidence that Kev’s a class act... he sacrificed his own video quality for Cleet’s camera 😁
He also probably doesn't give too much information as Cleetus is the big gun driving and making the times. It would also take away from Cleetus's upload that's coming up.
@@a-a-rondavis9438 yup, exactly 👍
Kevin getting all the shots. Car builder/engineer, tuner, camera man, and all around nice guy. Great video.
Would you say this was a wrench in the gears? I'll see myself out.
🤣🤣
Dad jokes for the win.
Ba dum tis!
“Pry bar” = large screwdriver. You know, just like in everybody else’s toolbox. 👍
Man, ya gotta love that 90's sitcom jazz at the end. It's just so relaxing
I associate that piece of royalty free music so hard with the outro of the Technology Connections youtube channel that whenever I hear it here I keep expecting the outtakes to start playing. :D
Yeah we are all sort of used to DMCA free music by now. Kind of a bummer but it’s better than silence I guess.
Lol seriously
Honestly I feel like someone put me on hold…which is somehow appropriate considering these videos are a series about race week. 😂
Midwest Drags became "MidWet Drags"
Cleetus + KSR what a Team.
Florida drag cruise. Bradenton, Gainesville, Orlando, and Daytona international speedway pit road. Maybe west palm. Let's make this happen
Man it looks like Cleet is inviting people one by one to shadow him when they're packing up the car. True Gentleman.
John Force has the Mid touch everything He touches turns to Go.
I can't be the only one who's really enjoying these companion/ bts videos of drag week..... keep 'em coming Kevin
i think the John Force "touch" added too many bald eagles for Indy
I like seeing the struggles as much as the triumphs. Goes to show even in "the big leagues" people still struggle to get stuff perfect.
That car is capable of some amazing things. I have to say, I am as excited to see cleetus race as I was for Mike Finnegan when he was chasing A/Gas at hot rod drag week a couple years back.
LOVE the recording of your adjustments rather than most people who just talk about it. Makes us feel like we're on the pit crew.
Even with a bad day, you guys are still a half second up on the next guy in your class. Looks like everybody suffered bad track conditions.
Kevin, those fuel pump bolts seem way tight. Would studs be a good idea where bolts that go into aluminum are undone often?
After looking at the video again it looks like those are just spacers. I should have given Kevin more credit. Sorry Kevin.
I appreciate that Cleet can show restraint while driving a 7sec car on the street. I'd be doing all kinda pulls getting in trouble lol
With a trailer?
It’s hard enough finishing the week while being competitive, not to mention they’re dialing in a brand new car in unfavorable weather. Not the best time for shenanigans.
Why be stupid when you have the track waiting
This is why "normies" hate car people.
Just sat down with my coffee before going to work!!.. Rock on ...Good Luck guys!! Congrats with Motion Raceworks Cleetus!! setting the bar so high
Holy cow. That last pass looked scary. Hopefully the next track has some prep done.
Kevin getting those data shots of the Elco launching. Mint👌
That ute's got a tuff stance.
Kevin is a true gem to youtube, his over all demeanor and professionalism only add to his skill in the craft of fast cars. Cleetus made 100% right choice in putting his cars in Kevin's hands. Mullet is gonna be one hell of a unit once Kevin gets some non drag week tune time. But the dedication it take to do a full on car angle change in a parking lot to squeeze every bit of stability and time out of the short track after gear change is what makes KSR the real deal.
I was suprised to see you made that many runs dang. On a struggle day like this 8 ohs isn't horrible. Thanks for the daily uploads Kevin. Awsome coverage. Congrats on 200k!! Well deserved.
That explains everything, the John force freedom was just to much sauce for those tyres to handle
The intro should always open with a wild giraffe singing KSR in the background.
The John force burnt in finger prints will be a legacy on this car.
I can feel the frustration but you and old cleet work well as a team can’t wait for tomorrow and looking forward to RMRW this has been a good shake down for a new build
U guys just learning the car, you'll get it! You guys got this if u can get her to hook at next track! ✌🤜🤛👌👍🍻🤙🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Im assuming the 3.89 gear was also used because the original plan was to apply the O/D from the gear vendor
I think this is more like a safer race week setup. One less thing to break and maybe easier to handle poor track conditions. I imagine the 3.89 and O/D will be back in the mix when they are going for faster times. He said it would be faster in the end.
Great video buddy. I watched the live stream, and was stressing with you guys, lol.
Any chance you can show us how to pack the chutes? Maybe also explain why they need to be repacked after sitting for a while, and what possibly caused the partial failure when Cleet drove Tom's car?
Thanks for the content. I honestly believe you'll hit 200k subs before the next vid.
I haven't seen Kevin work this hard in a long time 😂😂😂 A two man crew has to be tough! Good job buddy 👍
not having any time to test the car is the problem.
Seeing you guys at Indy yesterday was cool. Cleetus is even taller in person! Kevin is a pro at the track. I didnt say hi - as you guys looked pretty busy trying to get things sorted.
Kevin and Cleetus are just gonna keep dialing it in... I think ol' mullet is just sandbaggin
The headlights look awesome, makes the car look very much so up to date with all the black power coated trim and painted bumpers
My man Kevin helping out my OCD.
Second pass: Some random wire hanging down around the front axle.
Third pass: He gone!
Cleetus’s singing in the intro is rather in tune....
Kevin is killing it with these daily uploads! A guy could get used to this!
Kevin I just wanna say your just awesome 😎
Keep grinding Kev. There is enough adjustment and sensors built in that you can sort it as you know you can. Track prep looked like it was killing everyone, Tom was having issues too. Fingers crossed for the angle change 🤞🏻
Always LOVE what I'm seeing on the KSR channel :-) Sad when I just had to do the weather report at work for any outages/impacts & saw it's going to be staying very wet this weekend, so stay safe out there!
Making the big adjustments on a brand new build on multiple tracks on a race week.
Legends.
why not try like a 3.55 rear gear? i don't know the exact gears but something that will take you right past the 1/4 would be the best
It was nice to meet you in Indy. Thanks for autographing my Cleetus hat. Keep up the good work.
Easy with the camera movements when walking! I think I’m getting sea sick! Lol
Let’s get Kevin to 200k!! He’s almost there!!
I swear I learn something new every time I watch a KSR video. Today it was the difference in gearing for the 340 v 389. Great job. And DAMN if those low-angle, the track launch shots aren’t amazing.
KEVIN!!!!! Your giving me whip lash brother!! Still Love what your doing man, keep it up!
Good morning Kevin Nd cleetus! Great way to start this Friday morning!
The only way this could be better is if y'all were driving a primer gray 1955 2 door hardtop w/ 427 /6:71 racing a yellow firebird..... And you had long hair and looked like James Taylor...
I digress..
This is a cool format...
God bless you and Cleeter
Have a great race and kick butt
There's a 1977 Monte Carlo and 1978 Olds Cutlass for sale near me.. if it wasn't for California smog I'd be all over one of them. Talk about some winning cars in NASCAR back in the day! I guess when you don't have to keep the stock engine in them they actually were fast.. which you'd never expect with what bricks they are.
I just want through all the recent pass vids to make sure I gave Kevin a thumbs up..... Good morning everyone! Lol I guess that's Kevin's opener. Always great content. Keep it up Kevin! Thank you for taking us along for the ride!
Hey there Kevin, love your work. Tell the Giraffe not to drive with his wallet in the back pocket, it gives you constant back problems. From an Old guy who found out the hard way.
Ya Gotta watch tha Force guy! ) I think this is called 'Tuning Bye Fire" Your doing the right stuff. If you get another crappy track day, you might have low for the race. Hmmm.
Ah the Joys of a new Race car . Especially on Race week . 😁 . Great Job working out the Bugs Kevin . And you get to hang with Ol Cletus .
Always love watching. Your camera etiquette is awful and it makes me laugh. I actually enjoy it. It has a "raw" feel to it. Keep it up my friend. The road to 1mil will happen fast.
Lol cleetus in the background with the KSR harmony at the beginning had me laughing from the start, you guys are living my best life right now! Its my dream to bring my car to the states and do a raceweek! Would be epic, specially rocky mountain raceweek!
She looks even better in person. Nice job watching at Norwalk now.
talk about a track owner not giving 100% on prep for the drivers
Did you guys remember to fluid back in after switching gears ?
I jokingly asked that in Cleet's video from yesterday. Can't be ridin dirty on race week.
Love your work. Can’t wait to see more non-Mullet projects you have in the pipeline. The level of detail you go into explaining your ideas is top notch
