If you didn't live/grow up in the '80s Czechoslovakia, you can't really appreciate how insane the interiors are. The furniture, the appliances, everything is what all of us had in our homes (and pubs, shops, etc.).
Same goes for all the buildings, road signs, garbage cans, nature (minus the sea) everything is spot on '80s Czechoslovakia!

Grew up in a rural post-soviet town myself and in the original DayZ Chernarus felt right at home haha
@@MT-ly6mtChernarus is itself a real location more or less. Renamed, topography replicated, treelines, major roads, and some dirt parths, but more importantly certain buildings and landmarks are all accurate.
I visited Chenarus in 2018 while I was staying in Prague. It was weird, could navigate while driving with no map in a place I'd never been. Got some great photos from Starry barns, and the top of Zub Castle among other places.
I personally love the massive map with like 65-100 people on it makes it feel more like a wasteland where not many people are alive anymore
I agree It does wear off a little bit when you dump thousands of hours into but here I am still playing DayZ daily lol.. it just never gets old for me at least
Wish the player count was a little higher and there we more zombies in cities and zombies that roam in fields and forest, just outside of cities/towns in general

This brings back me old memories of arma 2 dayz when there was a bug when the zombie's AI just didn't work and they stood still just like that.
It's weird because I get a feeling of nostalgia watching this gamemode while in a sense it feels like a new experience because of the updated graphics and looks. It's unique and I hope the mod dev(s) could expand and get it to be even more like a classic DayZ experience!

I agree. Reminds me of really early "zombie" modes for Arma 2. Fun and goofy stuff.

@@Jhoson14 thats because the real virtuality engine doesnt recognize such modern inventions as GPUs or multicore CPUs. It only believes in the strength of CPU_0. Meanwhile enfusion does.
I just hope that it won't be like reforgers Simplicity I hope it's gonna be like Arma 3s ui and stuff I personally just want Arma 4 to be like Arma 3 but better optimized that way we do not have to relearn a game just because they wanted to make it simple for console players just make 2 games then 1 for pc which is like arma 3 and 1 for console that's like reforger simple as that way we don't need to get our skill taken away and be annoyed

10 years almost to the day since I found dayz arma 2. It will forever be one of the most iconic games I've ever played and holds some of the best memories I've experienced. I hope to see this one grow into a big success too.

Now that first clip is an example of real skill issue.
I watched it again in 23:00 I think and it definitely wasn't a skill issue
Shots 1-14: Clearly missed.
Shots 15-21: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 22-29: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 30: Likely didn't actually fire because the server was already dead

This gets me so hyped up. I thought we would be waiting years to see even a basic level dayz mod to reforger and i'm amazed how functional this already is. So excited to see how this progresses. Voip being effected by the environment, different levels of sneaking, oh man, just basic things i've always wanted in dayz that are already stock with reforger.
If they manage to build this up properly it´s gonna be great, but ofc at the moment this mod seems to be super raw. I guess I will play it now just to stroll around the map imagining how great would DayZ SA look in this very engine. Really do wonder if Reforger engine is the best hope for future of DayZ. It might be...
DayZ and Arma Reforger both run on the Enfusion engine. DayZ was their first release, and kinda testing platform for that engine.
maybe dayz sa will get a full enfusion update someday, like how counterstrike is getting a source 2 update. though i also feel like theyd probably want to release a whole new game since everyone owns dayz... dayz sa 2??? prolly not anytime before arma 4 lol
@@BobiousMaximus At some point, be it just later or with DayZ sequel, we need to have full updated engine to the point like Reforger has. It is so much better, as everybody can see and DayZ would benefit from it tremendously.
no one cares about DayZ stand alone, it is garbage.. it was garbage and will always be garbage. The Arma line of games are what have and always will shine. DayZ:SA has no business even existing.

The truck will speed up once you get moving. And that other truck that was running, pretty sure I left that there if you were on this server 2 days ago. I think too, that Reforger isn't so much a game as a platform for modders to play around with. If the modders of the Rearmed servers were to setup some servers on Reforger, it'd be an awesome modernization of DayZ.

Standalone had so much going for it. I wish they let it be more like the arma 2 mod with tanks and helis and what not. The standalone devs didn’t use what they already had

I hope they add more time to the houses and make them look more apocalyptic same with the roads and stuff
I got the idea in my head, and now I want it in Dayz. I want the The Division 1 map, the entire map, snow and everything, inside of Dayz. With every building being openable. God, the Division 1 map in DayZ would be amazing.

reforger looks amazing. I think if they worked a little bit on it while they make the next full arma. reforger could be great for a middle ground before the next one comes out.
I'm just glad they made this game now because it really was a well thought out move to have your huge community of modders and players of gamemodes created by other players keeping your now 10 year old game alive for so long to just give them a big wink and nudge to start making mods on this new and improved engine and game which can then likely just be imported straight over to the new game.
Watching you back in Highschool when I was an ARMA addict, to learning you're related to my favorite guntuber, to seeing you pass 1mil subs, to seeing you be apart of short films/movies, to seeing you always doing what you love. You're the G.O.A.T. Keep it up man.

I seen your first video and thought the graphics looked fantastic. I've been an Arma player since Flashpoint and the amount of graphical fidelity with this game is awesome, I still play Arma 3 and the game just keeps getting better, but when Reforger gets better or Arma 4 comes out I'll be switching to that. Great video man, keep up the awesome content.

That autorun is just sorta a thing for every keyboard compatible game Drew 😅😅 you hold W and press the xbox button on your controller and you stick the key. I have fallen off of many cliffs in DayZ like this

honestly its weird that mods still miss some of the basic beats to make a good dayz style mod, to make things better there always needs to be motivators even in an early state, less military weapons everywhere especially ridiculous guns like the M82, making good things rare is kinda important, idk if theres food n drink but its worth having, even if you dont think about it most the time it'll provide more experiences and and encounters

I hope they port altis into the new engine. They'd probably just have to update a few assets and it would look amazing. Plus Altis is a fantastic map.

Crazy, I literally just bought Arma reforger on PC kinda more excited now
Fun Fact : the windows gamebar trick is a PC thing on DayZ , enabling it will lock any key thats being pressed while you open it . for example opening it while pressing W will give you autorun , enabling it while holding left click will allow you to drink from a well or cook food ona stick without holding it

If you click on vehicles icon pressing tab you open they inventory and got alot of itens inside !
If you’re trying/Playing different stuff have you played Ready Or Not? It’s a SWAT type tactical game, supports mods and all

Interesting, didn't expect you to be playing on the same server.
The hit detection in reforger is completely broken, always not counting my shots, makes it unplayable
sufficiently stress inducing to watch so it's gotta be a good time
For some reason the everon map feels massive, even though it's only 1/5th of the area of altis. It looks so good though. The map design is really promising for arma 4.
Can you place tents as storage? Is that implemented yet?
Looks too vibrant for apocalypse, i mean yeah technically a zombie apocalypse shouldn't perse make the sky more grim but this looks like a tropical vacation.
What I don't get is why all of the Arma Day Z mods feel and look better to me than DayZ itself does

Ofh 70fps with a 4090 truly an improved Arma game
It's a lot more optimized then ArmA 3...
And online matches always have less FPS...
In ArmA 3 in singleplayer you can get like 100fps but as soon as it's online with decent amount of players and it's down to like 60 or less Lmao

But... first day ArmA Reforger came out i did a little piracy... and damn... it ran muuch worse then my DayZ on Steam does...
Idk why... but yeah... i was messing around with settings and just can't get it to run nicely...
But ArmA Reforger does kinda feel like DayZ in a lot of ways... movement and stuff... which is not a surprise since they are almost the same engine but not quite the same

@@magicgamester I'm not saying that Dayz SA is bad. It is very good. But it is not the same game nor does it generate the same things as the Arma 2 mod , which was simpler but in my opinion more fun.

It looks more like Deadside to me. I hope they make a new DayZ with better gun mechanics etc. Every time I get burnt out on DayZ and think I'll never play it again I always go back it has a certain magic.
