Hi Tom, great lecture and perfectly explained what is important in Africa, I could not explain it better as a bow hunter in Namibia, and these are exactly the words we say to our guests when they come to our bow hunting farm and want to be successful!
stay healthy, good luck and god bless you!

Appreciate the pointers Tom. My next trip to Africa may just be a bow hunt.
    Keep the post coming.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the best way to get any sheep for a 54 year old that doesn’t want to pay the unrealistic price or have the time to wait 20 years to get drawn.
Been following you for years as I am also from Illinois and lived in the UP for a few years too.

The aoudad is found free range in SW Texas & considered a sheep and is about $6-8,000. If you are pursuing the Super Ten. The Dall sheep is the least expensive and best place to shoot one in NWT. cost $22-25K Good Luck! TomM

The meat is butchered and utilized either in camp, donated to local peoples or sold. The hunters all try the meat while they are in Africa but hunt primarily for the experience and challenge of bowhunting & of course they are able to take the hide and horns home to be taxidermy or as leather and keepsakes.
