​@@Drip4Less_yes it does damage coatings! Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean any optics with coatings.

Another good tip to remove the water is to buy an air dust blower and gently blow the water out the nook and crannies.

So, I decided to try cleaning a pair of my transitions from 2022 with Blitz jewelry cleaner. I only used one capful in my cleaner that is about his size, and it was fine! Cleaned most of the grime off, but you do have to rinse them with water. Doesn't really clean the lenses so you still have to wipe those with a microfiber. Use at your own risk, I suppose!

The only way an ultrasonic cleaner could damage your glasses is friction or if there is existing damage that could be vibrated off. If any part of the glasses touches anything and the surface is dirty or the surface is a material that is harder then it will cause scratches. Clean plastic against a metal frame is no worries. Plastic frames are more likely to scratch. Some frame coatings can be soft.

Yes it does oil and water do it mix, the ultrasonic helps separate them

Haha, no way it's an ultrasonic cleaner. The real ultrasonic cleaner doesn't wave the water surface but produce millions of micro bubbles rubbing each other producing a high temperature and pressure. Unscrew and open this product and show us there is really an ultrasonic transducer inside and not only a motor vibrating the water tub 😉
