That is a neat build, Chad. I appreciate your comment: “I do things a little different” while stone setting, there are certainly many ways to approach each challenge.

Thanks Metalsmithnna! I learn new ways to do things pretty frequently from my Patrons and UA-cam followers:)

Really great video Chad . I enjoyed seeing that information about the polar graph paper. I didn’t realize that kind of graph paper existed but now I’m going to order some.

Yestrday i was struggling to get the solder where i wanted it so i could solder the piece no joy then i thought i would try pick solder like you do it worked perfectly. Thought i would try on another piece im working on and melted the center of it😂 oh well i will definitely be learning that technique because when it works its perfect.

I’ve seen you like to use parallel pliers to straighten your wire. Do you ever pull the wire straight? It seems like you could, for this project, pull a long piece and cut your prongs already straight. (This question comes from someone who has yet to pick up a torch 😂)

Interesting idea Scott! I could pull it through a draw plate at the size it is already at. Might straighten it most of the way:)

@@chadssilversmithing I use this technique all the time. Trap one end of your wire in your vice and pull the other end with you pliers, you'll feel the wire ever so slightly stretch, at that point stop pulling. Your wire will now be dead straight and work hardened.

It looks like you have both a free account and a paid account Jaqueline. Perhaps you were trying to access the video on Patreon with the unpaid account? Just make sure you are logged in under the other account. Let me know if you have further issues:)
