    That's why I bought a '23 Rubicon (Gladiator) which I preferred with a huge discount. No lame antenna in the windshield (which costs way more to replace), no bs wipers, no bs vents, no reflection, no extra 30 thousand dollars.😊

    1. Total CFM in the circle vents is the same as the square vent. "radio still does all the same things.." ...wireless carplay is pretty different.
    2. Don't use cruise control on hills...
    3. It has auto-dimming. The dimming button in the Uconnect infotainment screen enables or disables the "Auto" mirror dimming feature.
    5. White will do that with any vehicle

    This is why I bought a low mileage (2 door) MT JK Rubicon for under $30,000. Changed ALL the fluids even with only 14,000 miles due to time. I have NO corrosion problems, NO stop/start garbage. I have control over the transmission. I installed street legal LED head lights and tail lights, steel bumper, and soft top insert. I am GTG and hoping that one day there is a corrosion fix for all those JL's/JT's with mixed metals.

    Always enjoy watching your videos Tyler. I have a bikini blue rubicon 2020 (had it since new). Adore it. Now the hood dome thing I never noticed it on mine. It’s great but I think maybe the white colour has something to do with it. My cousin has a white 2023 rubicon I will ask him about this.

    Long drives sucked in my 2020 JL, seat risers helped but was still a fight anything over 75mph. I since added a 2022 JT, night and day difference on long trips, seat risers are installed. Can cruise at 80 and it feels great. My wife's 2024 Xtreme Recon is almost as comfortable and love's that 78mph mark.

    Have the 24 sport s for about 5 months now. Hate: 1. the angle hood and the "extra foot of fender" which I can't see from the driver seat making it difficult to park. My assigned parking space in my condo is next to a huge support column. I couldn't tell how close I am to the column so I have to reverse into the space 80% of the time; plus because of the angled hood, the parking is also crooked. 2. Every time the Jeep is turn on, the media screen always ask for the profile. Can it be linked to the key? 3. Don't like to drive more than an hour. Owners of previous Jeeps said the new one drives much better but I couldn't get myself relax driving it. Always have to make constant correction. 4. Too expensive for what it is. Lack options that would have been standards on other vehicle. 5. Rear passengers said the back is not recline far enough to sit over an hour.
    ... but I love when the top is off. The design is beautiful.. I just have to make sure I don't use it on long travel.

    Do you (or the other people in the comment section) believe that the 35s make a good daily? I’m getting a Rubicon that will be my daily and wondering if I need to stay 33s cuz I really want the extreme 35 package.

    I use the highest octan fuel I can find for every tank. The engine has more "grunt" on hills and harder acceleration. I did notice it will shifts into a lower gear less. No it does not solve the transmission programming issue, the Jeep will just shift into a lower gear less. What I found works for me.

  • @jason8795
    @jason8795 Місяць тому

    I agree. The two little center vents are terrible.
    My jeep with 4.56 gears downshifts the same. 8 to 6 all the time with just slight acceleration.
    When you put 37's on it the rearview mirror isn't an issue! 😂

  • @geerhead6383
    @geerhead6383 Місяць тому

    I don't have a Jeep but I have the 3.6L in a Ram 1500 and it double downshifts sometimes. The trucks have a top gear limit selector which I use quite a bit because the 3.6 has very little torque at low rpm. Not sure if the Jeeps have that. I find that I have to keep the revs up above 2000 to limit the downshifting.

    I’d say something is wrong with the AC. We rented a 24 4xE Rubicon when in Hawaii 85 degrees and sitting in the sun all day, it was ice cold. With plenty of air movement. Since it was a 4xE it’s probably a different system.

  • @Watermoehlen

    I’m surprised that you didn’t include auto up windows. They have auto down, why not auto up? That and memory seats on the new rubicons with power seats.

    I have a 2024 Rubicon JLU, that I bought right off the lot and mine came with the auto darkening mirror. Maybe it is because I have the safety package. On the flip side, my son has a 2024 Sport S that doesn't. I am wondering if it is a package thing. But I adree. Whith what the Rubicon costs. they should all come loaded.

    I've got 3.6l 6spd manual with 4.88 gear. It's hilly in my area, cuising at 60mph is 5th gear 2300rpm. I can get by just fine without down shifting to 4th.

    Can't say I've run into these issues. Had auto dim and auto wipers on my last car. Didn't use them so haven't thought about it. I have had my 24 for a month and a bit and find the air flow out of the vents seam ok.
    My biggest problem, complaint. Was how it drove. It was skittish on the highway. Had it checked out and dealer said its how a 2 door jeep drives. It was way worse than my lifted jk. I ended up fixing it with adding the mopar lca's from the 2 inch mopar lift. What a different. I should mention it's a 24 2 door Willys with a manual and 33" tires stock. After putting the LCA on it now tracks straight and down wonder. Bump steer is gone. All for a $150 worth of parts. I expect they should have been put on from factory. It was scary driving along at highway speeds. Fixed now

    IMO, things to hate about the 2024 are the antenna in the windshield, the nipple crash cans on the winch bumpers, the increased price, the metal added behind the passenger tire, not being able to get the 3.6L ETorque option, and not being able to get Sting Grey.

    Why not get rally cut out from John Ross? I'm sure with his vinyl wrap skills, he could put some Matt black on your hood to both match the wheel arch flares and cut reflection down.

    My 2024 Jeep a/c works good and I live in Arizona where it’s hot. I don’t have the 4.88 gears and my Jeep with the X package and bigger tires handles mountains better than my 2021 did with smaller tires and no X package.

    I drive a white 23’ Sahara 4xe and have never experienced a bad reflection off of my hood. Other than that, I agree with your 4 other gripes. However, I do believe the integrated antenna in 24’ is a terrible idea and will absolutely lead to more expensive windshield replacements.

    I own a 23 JT Mojave and my buddy just bought a 24 JL Sahara and I can confirm the airflow out of the new vents is WAY weaker. It was immediately noticable moving from his car to mine. He was the one that noticed first.
    Also IMO the new screen and vent look out of place. Like its just tacked on which it is. It doesnt match the interior aesthetic flow like the 8" unit and round vents. A lot of people won't care about that but I'm kinda a design nerd and I personally do not like the lack of proper integration with the new unit.
