It was so scary!!! Honestly, I didn't think we'd be able to save anyone (ever again is how it's starting to feel) so it was quite a moment when she was successful 😭🥹
Is it just me or is it a little suspicious that Knox was set on fire after his tryst with Aveline? 👀 Thank goodness Heidi survived!! Adults really have it rough in this challenge 🫠
I was like, "Hm, this episode has been mostly chill for once," and then Knox got set on fire lol. Also shout-out to the moment when Luella and Heidi were casually chatting in the kitchen and outside the window Esmond fell into his vat of nectar. I actually snorted. Telling a sim to try for a baby when they're out of tries does feel cheaty, but I feel like telling them to decide for themselves is a good compromise. Personally I like for my sims to lead the story as much as possible, so I'm willing to bend the rules if it means giving them a little more freedom.
It was pretty chill until that moment 😅 His just desserts? 🤭🤭 I did not see that even in editing, but that is hilarious! Poor Esmond is trying his best to make sure his family thrives but, jeez, it isn't easy on him 😂 I totally agree with you; letting the sims be the ones making the decisions is so nice, especially in a challenge as long as this one. By the way, I feel so badly that Luella's in this situation with Knox! I'm so sorry!!! Do you have anything you want her to do in response once she finds out?
@@PlumbobsandthePast Hmm, that's an interesting question. On the one hand, I feel like Luella kind of got herself into this situation (after all, she asked him for that first woohoo), but also like, Knox, buddy, you're married, dude. Obviously Luella is not going to be very happy when she finds out, and given her mean trait, I can't imagine she'll be very nice about it. But I guess the question is: will she blame Knox for cheating on her, or Aveline for seducing him?

When it comes to the “extra” baby attempts via the game pop ups, what I do is flag sims that have used up their baby attempts to not have anymore kids. Even when those kinds of pop ups come I just say yes or think for yourself but I know nothing will happen 😅
Ahhh that makes sense!!! I'd forgotten until recently you could even do that to keep them from autonomously flying in the face of the rolls of the dice!
Let us hope that Adam and Marisol do not follow Eleanor and Edmunt with their babies. But gladly the other rolls went well ... Leif survived and will be with his teens and Heidi too. Arthur is a handsome one! And going into the merchant business seems fitting for the family - he is not the eldest so can not inherit his fathers tavern but will have knowledge and connections. Though being socially awkward makes it more difficult ... but as a merchant you will meet folks from all over the country and maybe from other countries if he happens to put his business up at the port maybe? Travelers might cross his pass and he might meet interesting sims and form connections abroad useful for business too. Yeah,, Knox is laid-back in more the whatever style - what is the problem? Everything will work out fine, just chill. Alice is cute - and with the baby tries, yes they are a lot but I remind you again you might still end up like with Eleanor and Edmunt. Many baby tries do not have to be used all necessarily (like you stopped with Esmond and Heidi) and in case all the children die young you still have the pssobility to prevent the line from dying out. In the 1400s the rules lessen all the marriage and pregnancy opportunities anyway. And with plague and war coming ... and you home risk rolls with the roaming armies that you start to set up so nicely - the families will have to face many losses I fear. We might meet french sims maybe due to war? And Simas might get involved through the muslim world fighting the spanish which involved other european alliances I think? But I will need to look it up? And that war helped spread the plague too 😨. How many baby tries does he still have? Since Luella is literate she might be interested in teaching her children? It would very much be helpful in rising in social standing and building up a successful business. It would make the children more interesting marriage partners for higher social ranks too and even clerical careers should one end up there. I think she would try to give her children as much of an advantage as she can. Maybe Avelines fathers sees his daughter and Graham growing closer and checks in with Heidi and Esmond for tighter family connections? Ciaran and Grainnes birthday comes up too. As spellcasters their odds are better on birthdays are they not? Does the curse mean only one of the twins can have children or are both able to? Did you pay the tithe to the church already or do you skip that? They do not like not getting your money ;-). And the dear Kings financial problems will end in higher taxes will they not? In combinations with looting and such ... one of the fostering grounds for the peasants revolt in the 80s With the many families spreading out maybe you might concentrate later on on the heir and his siblings and the main events happening in the other families. Showing the images of the ones passing their birthdays (or not) at the end seems good to me; for teens you could show their marraige and pregancy rolls too. No matter your decisions I always look forward to the next epsiode. ❤
Omg, let's hope that Adam and Marisol have better luck! They've got so many fewer baby tries than his sister does! 😱 Arthur *is* so handsome 😊 he's going to need a very pretty wife so that their children are the most beautiful 🤩 I loooove the idea of him traveling as a merchant but staying in the same kind of business as his family! We should meet some French sims soon (ahhhhhhhhh, it always comes too quickly!) Simas still has 5 baby tries, so hopefully he can use them soon! I'm not as confident about exactly how Mamluk training and fighting worked, but I think he can't go to war or get married until his training is over in 1341... You're so right about Luella! She's definitely going to teach them to read and push them to be the best they can be with that goal of raising themselves up. Also, it would definitely make sense if Aveline's father tried to marry his daughter to Graham. That's the most logical move, especially since they are in the same field. Hmm, something to definitely think on... Grainne and Ciaran have better odds for survival as spellcasters, but since they've inherited their grandmother's curse only one can have two kids. Unless they can break the curse, maybe at that point it would change? Luckily our taxes are only 20% to the earl and 10% to the church (you're so right, the church comes for people who do not give that tithe!) so they're pretty low (for now 😱) but taxes get so crazy towards the peasants revolt! No wonder, though, cause all the poor peasants are like, dude, we've got to eat too! I hear you about focusing our scope more!
