@rockyfern no none other where yours. I love cactus videos, gymnocalycium especially but I love them all.

Ah great to hear you love Gymnocalycium cactus too --- I love'em! And I own quite a few of them - but unlike many cactus growers, I happen to grow them for the Flowers! Yep, I love flowers and Gymnocalycium have some of the most beautiful! Thanks for this episode and I look forward to seeing more ....

Where are you located in the country? Do you find they enjoy higher humidity and lower light? Thank you so much for watching!

I'm in New Jersey - down by the shore - I grow all my Gymno's indoors under grow lights. No, they aren't to fond of higher humidity indoors.

Yeah I guess indoors makes all the difference. I was asking because it seems my outdoor plants really seem to “pop” when we get a mix of great air flow and higher humidity

I may try and take some of mine outdoors this Summer, depending on the type of Summer we have, it's usually humid here in NJ. :)@@rockyfern

Very nice looking Saglionis. How long have you had yours before it flowered ? I bought a small one from Ikea about 3 years ago. It's large now; I don't think it's as large as yours, but it has not flowered for me yet. Now that I know the fruits are edible, I really can't wait until it does bloom.

You know this one I purchased pretty big but I have another that is a little bigger than half this size and it bloomed 2 years ago. You’ll have to tell me what you think of the taste! None of my fruit was successfully fertilized. Hopefully I get another flush.

    When do they typically bloom?

Mine has been putting flushes of flowers from early spring through mid summer.

@@rockyfern wonderful! I just acquired one plant. I'm super excited to see the blooms! It's shocking to me that they don't create offsets. 🥲
