@@austerplay47 All stories games were later released for PS2 too. They are much better played through that or a PS2 emulator because you have more controls, since the PSP lacked many of the controls from the OG dualshock, like the second analog and second row shoulder buttons.
Awesome video. I own just about everything other than getting into the newer systems and rare games. My PS3 and Xbox One collection still need quite a bit of games though. Im moving towards emulation as i can have all of my games all in one device. Or even divided amongst devices. Like Miyoo Mini and RH351v is up to its limits. And im ordering Steam Deck for larger titles or AAA. A phone sure would be nice to have with an SD port. My phone is always with me. So i can always just add a game or few from my collection to my phone when i am not planning on carrying another device around with me. Emulation is the best thing for older titles, and mid 2000’s. I already own the majority of them. Now, i can just play them in higher quality and have a majority with me at all times vs console or computer.
Man the steamdeck will be awesome for you! Too bad, the Deck is not available for purchase in India! :( So high end emulation is stuck on PCs. But these current Snapdragon 800 series phones can actually emulate PS2 pretty decently, and will improve as AetherSX2 develops further! One limitation is thermals, so an external cooler like one of those thermoelectric coolers help a lot! PS3 emulation is not yet available for ARM devices as far as I know and the maximum an Android can emulate is Switch (still in it's infancy).
@@techstation365 I will surely enjoy steam deck. Like next year when i get it 😂 I keep forgetting you guys have a lot to consider with heat. And it does suck you guys cant get a steam deck yet. That's a good combo! I'm also thinking of getting an S20 + Gamesir x2 Pro for emulation. I wonder how long it can emulate PS2 from a full charge - wondering if it can do it for at least 5-6hrs.
Ohh it's pretty heavy, I haven't observed exact numbers, but PS2 emulation is much more demanding than PSP emulation. Your CPU is hammered 100% all the time. So I play for 1.5hrs to 2hrs max at night before sleeping. I recommend buying one of those chiller typer coolers, that will transform the S20 FE to a gaming phone. I ordered one, will test and post a video.

It's pretty hot but it's expected with a high end SoC. CPU temps must be in the 50s. Use something like a usb thermoelectric cooler, available for pretty cheap prices.
Woahh! I haven't tried that. 5-6hrs is too much... may be it can run a native android game for 5hrs straight, but this is emulation which is hammering the CPU, so I highly doubt that. Plus it'll overheat within an hour or so, if you emulate games like God of War. You need an active cooler.
Yup we can do 2x on a few games, but I kept it on 1x to film the video, as it was very hot that day, and the phone was under hot lights and throttling was kicking in. With active cooling 2x is sustainably possible 😊
Probably picking one of these up soon. So tired of IOS and its BS. Recent update prevents retroarch from working. And, i can no longer manually trust a certificate. I havent been able to find a work around either. For the short duration i keep this phone, auto updates will be kept OFF.
