Stay SAFE at Destin, Florida Beaches! Important Tips

Welcome to Destin, Florida and the Emerald Coast. Known all across the Southeastern United States for its stunning white sand beaches and its emerald green water, it’s no wonder millions of people choose to live and vacation here each year.
Sadly, there have been a few tragic shark attacks in the area that have visitors wondering if it’s safe to venture out into the Gulf and swim.
Today’s video will provide some tips to keep in mind while visiting the Destin area or other beaches along the Emerald Coast.

Do you think it's safe to take a cruise and snorkel at the Jetties?

Actually my daughter and I just did that recently. They take you by the jetties and then several of the deckhands get in the water with just to keep everyone from getting too deep. I would say it’s plenty safe and they would get you out of the water quickly if any sharks were sighted.
