    There's an incredible amount of influence from Nirvana in this song

    He is actually on tour. He actually joined Oli on stage with bring me the horizon on their tour to perform ‘Obey’ yesterday. Oli also joined yungblud on stage a few weeks ago on one of his shows. Howie is definitely bang on with the Nirvana and green day vibes!

      The jealousy I feel for everyone who got to see that! My favorite band is BMTH. And I love yungblud too, he’s not in my top 10 favorites. But I do definitely love his music. I like metalcore a bit better. But yungblud, definitely is amazing. I love the song Obey I’ll have to see if I can find that live on UA-cam.

      @@nikkid7963 Me too, if I was at either of their shows and the other came out, I’d lose it 😂 I like metalcore too, but I’m also a big emo fan and feel like the emotional honesty of yungbluds lyrics definitely give me my chem vibes so I love him!

      @@lydiatoft6329 yea, a lot of his music gives me MCR vibes, especially hope for the underaged youth. That’s my favorite song by him, 💙 everything about it.

      @@nikkid7963 Yeah I totally agree. My mother saw me watching hope for the underrated youth and said, "he sounds/looks like Gerard Wat". God save me, but don't drown me out also gives MCR vibes. Even the way he performs in the video reminds me of Gerard. Yungblud takes influence from a lot of different artists which I love

    Dom did indeed have some dance training when he went to the National Youth Music Theatre, he did some performances of stuff like West Side Story and The Hired Man. There's actually videos floating around the internet of him in rehearsal, in the show, being interviewed in his role as Riff, etc. Here's the rehearsal footage, he's got a teal tank top and grey sweats on. You'll see him in various shots, obviously. ua-cam.com/video/644IRwNcb4s/v-deo.html - There's actually footage of him all over UA-cam from even earlier, in the first band that he was in, prior to this school, to the song that he recorded after this schooling with his now guitar tech but long time music teacher/compatriot Ben, some random footage of him at a festival in Europe performing solo, and also all of the fun Disney Channel stuff.

    Great reaction. I think when he talks about send me to rehab, you twist my words and get confused, it’s all about being misunderstood and masking things like ADHD (which he has) with medicine (he did a song called Medication which explains all that) 😊🤘🏻

    I saw yungblud in 2018. His first album had just come out; and it was his first show in Denver and it was at a tiny little venue. There were maybe 200 people there. It was AWESOME we were all kinda in each other's faces and he blew the roof off. I actually met him and talked with I'm for about 20 minutes. I knew he was gonna blow up that night. It was a stellar show that I still think about

    I think specifically "you twist my words and get confused" at least from my perspective is about how when he first started as a musician he had his superiors telling him he needs to make radio music and not talk about the topic he does

    I thought it was Chris Greatti playing the solo but he's just credited as an additional producer. Chris produced and played guitar on a number of YUNGBLUD's songs from the last album. According to the credits, Andrew Wells produced the song and played all the instruments :)

    • @eboethrasher

    I really enjoy YBloods singing. But this song sounds so much like a Nirvana rip off of smells like teen spirit that I cannot enjoy this track. Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen unless he paid to use the melody.

    • @eboethrasher
      @eboethrasher 2 роки тому

      Nobody could even build a lawsuit about Smells Like Teen Spirit. The chord progression isn't the same, not just the chords, but not even the intervals. The strumming pattern is the only thing, and the fact that they solo out the bass at the beginning of the verses. It IS reminiscent of it, but nowhere near lawsuit territory. The only thing that could even come close to lawsuit territory is "Hey, hey", as it is dangerously close to "Heart-Shaped Box's" "Hey, Wait". Depends on how sue-happy Courtney decides to be. But I'm sure her lawyers will tell her if it is worth suing over or not. I would say no.
