I mentioned before that there I see a lot of those type of grills for sale around me. People seem to only use them a few times and then either find they don't like them of are too lazy to keep up with the maintenance. Many of the ones I see for sale are rusted to heck 😄
Maybe after you’ve used it a few times, the love for it will grow? We’ve been looking at them, but for the amount of grill cooking I do, I’m satisfied with our gas grill.
Yes, crappy quality control on your particular unit. But it won’t affect performance. It will take about 2 minutes with a grinder to remove the burrs. 10 minutes with a hand file. An easy fix, which would take less time than re-packing and shipping it back. I would, however, take a photograph and email customer service. Do not paint it! You don’t want to introduce toxins, or chemicals into your food. And once it is seasoned and used, there will be no issue with corrosion.
Cooking on a flat griddle is not hibachi. Hibachi is a barbecue or translates to fire pit. Hibachi is cooking over charcoal. Google hibachi. The term hibachi has been misconstrued and used improperly. In Japan, a flat griddle is a Teppan and the cooking style is called Teppanyaki. You are not alone as most Americans are ignorant in regards to Japanese food and terminology.
Man that was poorly made. Packaged and sold before it passes inspection. Crazy. Amazon. You have 30 days to send it back! Also important. I bought an item for a value of $145.00 and it came in almost the same shape as your Griddle {nonreturnable}. I called Amazon and told them what took place and that I took pictures, within 5 minutes they gave me my money back and because it was nonreturnable they told me to keep it. If I were you I would call them just the same brother, just saying.

@@HomeInTheSticks sad commentary
Quality control sucked on that day
Like 15, James
That's a bummer.. You could call Amazon customer service and ask about refund/return options.

@@EatCarbs it’s functionally fine just disappointment in quality of build

That’s not good James. Welding job and the finish is of poor quality. I wonder if it was made on the Friday or Monday morning?
@@gbltheolechurch5acrehomestead probably Friday lol
That is disappointing . I've heard some people love them and others hate them idk.
