Had them for over a year and gotta say I'm super satisfied. Fantastic sound, comfy earpads, and still cheap compared to most audiophile-level stuff. Only complaint is my ears get hot after a while wearing them, although that's gonna happen with any closed-backs. If you don't want open-backs then these are absolutely the pair to buy.

Really underated headphones. I bought these headphones because I couldn't find any headphones that fit on my large tall head. When I got these I was so happy that they fitted perfectly on my head. The sound is alright but not the best. But when you don't have comfort in headphones, you don't have anything. It's a must have if you have a large head.
You need to let these headphones warm up they really sound good after an hour of listening. These just do take at least 40 minutes of warm up, but after two hours of listening you will not want to take them off. I do set my own equipment curves.
Good overview. Comfortable and lightweight headphones, good materials, microphone, removable cables, but the sound ... The bass is normal, not pretentious. Mids play at an average level. But high frequencies - they are not, they are completely absent. The headphones have pronounced vocals, but there are no high frequencies at all. I hope someone understands something, I used google translator))
In all honesty probably not that almost anyone can tell. Headphones and the quality of the sound from the source will make the biggest difference. If you have a bad quality source you can't improve it no matter what. If you have bad headphones then that can really affect things. The interconnects really don't matter as much as Monster and other manufacturers want you to believe. I went to an audio show once where someone did a demo between pure silver speaker wire and the cheapest speaker wire you can find. I could just barely tell the difference in some of the high range. The price of the pure silver speaker cable was around $100/foot. You will probably be fine with anything with a reasonable length and the 3.5mm jack. If you start going 100' maybe you will see a difference but i really don't know. Most of my cables for my headphones are 10' or less and in those cases you won't hear a difference.

I know I'm very late but I recently replaced the earpads and headband pad and it's actually really simple to replace them! The earpads just pop out and pop back in. The headband padding is a little bit more difficult to remove but you just take it out, remove any extra adhesive (more like double sided tape) and stick the new one on. It only takes 1 to 2 minutes for the whole thing

It's late but the Sennheisers all the way. The balance, the depth, the overall field of sound, and the comfort can't be best at this price at all. I have the newest Bose Bose cancelling cans and these are better at 20% of the price. Cheers
I had them 3 years ago, I go from them to Open backs and all these years searching for closed back to sound like HD 660S or Sundara but none of them did . I try some Beyers , Sony, Audiotechnica and Meze ... and none of them worked like i want . So I will buy again the HD 569 for the comfort , the light weight , the warm sound and now i know there is no closed back headphone that sounds like Open backs .
Yeah the fact that they are closed really changes the sound stage. I actually really enjoyed the AKG K550’s until the ear pads fell apart and flaked off all the paint. I cheated out and got some valour ear pads and it completely changed the sound stage and I hated them after. So my tip for those headphones is to only replace with the factory ear pads.
Check out the Focal Elegia. You will probably need to replace the wire as it is super stiff and doesn't relax over time but replacement cables are cheap.
@@dorky_squid7394 I don’t want to link the wrong adapter. Just be careful cause Apple adapters may not quite work but not sure. I would talk to a friend who has an adapter and try theirs or order from Amazon using prime shipping in case it doesn’t work properly. You want to make sure you can return it without a hassle. OMG, I am watching this video because my HD 570s that I bought in 1999 and have used almost everyday since have just broken. I was replacing the pads every few years and love the sound and feel of this. I think I am replacing them with the HD569 which hopefully will sound as good and last as long!!!

@@poutineitup9510 No the 770s don't, I am buying them for desk use only in at work so they are permanently attached so there is no risk of the cable being yanked about. I did buy some 700 Pro's last year for home use, and while I love the sound they are no where near as comfortable as the 770s which are lighter.

If you do not need closed-back definitely pick up the Sennheiser HD58X Jubilee by Drop. I have about 20 pairs of headphones and they are my daily driver hands down. They are $170, but you can usually find them for $150 as I did.
I really loved them but, but in maybe just over 1 year of irregular use the cushions have completely worn off, black velor crumbled really finely, like black dust. I've replaced the cushions with leather ones (not original), but it's not the same feeling and sound any more. Would love to get same ones for another location, but afraid the same will happen to the cushions really fast. Don't get how come this can last 10-20 years with same cushions.

The ones that lasted that long were a different pair but I do stand behind sennheiser. The hd598’s are super solid and sound terrific. At some point they made hd598’s that were closed backed but idk if you can still find them. I have the open backed version.

Bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 400s and they stopped working 6 months in but I didn't give up on sennheiser yet just bought a pair of the Sennheiser HD 569 hopefully they last longer then 6 months for 150$
I can confirm the 280 pro and 569 sound similar, but 569 are better for use with mobile devices such as smartphones, where the 280 pro are better for at home listen, I will say to my ears after a good burn-in period the 280 pro have slight better detail and wider sound stage but not by much, you might want to eq either pair in the bass & treble just a tad because they can sound a little flat at times
@@poutineitup9510 Sound is probably a bit more open but it doesn’t bother me. I love the comfort/feel of velour, and appreciate not worrying about peeling. If I want compete sound isolation, I use Bose Quiet Comfort. 👍
@@sportscastercanada i did that with my k371 changed to dekoni velour and hated how it changed sound, less bassy but then i got used to the new sound and now i think it's the best sound quality ive ever heard, right next to my hd650. So maybe with the hd569 and velour upgrade i would love a more open and brighter sound
I have this headphone and after burning in for 100 hours in a white noise the audio quality is phenomenal with wide soundstage like you are wearing an open back headset 🙂
@@poutineitup9510 there are so many negative reviews on the hd569, I got them now and have had hd599 its open back original this version is based on. Maybe people were expecting to have the same sound which is impossible being closed back. I do like them, even better than my m50x, and a bit less than my k371 or close. Also got the HD650 of which your hd6xx are a clone, and those are amazing for just music, the hd599 great with movies, and these hd569 i just got them today and very enjoyable for general use, they are not as comfortable as the hd599 which are like clouds, but still nice and look the best of all my headphones, will be using them at the Caffe for show 😁🎧
Hi, great interesting video, I wonder how they compare with hd560S or hd650/660 , great you have your hd570, I have hd575 but when I bought them my hifi was low impedance I/p and never used them for a long time only when I changed my hifi I started to use them . Very comfortable and has thick pad’s compared to sennheiser are producing now . Regards mark
few years ago my sennheiser hd 457s finally died and they were sooo great and only were like $20 from the early 2000s. I don't know if they have anything like them anymore, everything is gaming this or way too expensive.
I view wired headphones as a long term purchase so I don’t mind spending the extra. I’m surprised they were only $20. I think I spent around $80 for my old pair.
Wish you would have addressed the comfort aspects of these headphones. All the sound quality aspects go out the window if you can't wear them for more then a few minutes due to discomfort. I'll be glad to sacrifice a little to get headphones that feel great and that can be worn as though they aren't even there.
Thanks for your comment. I wear these headphones all the time at work for long periods of time (hours) and they are ultra comfortable. I have a big head and I do not feel like my head is being squeezed at all.
I removed my ear pads and the right ear pad is different from the left and I'm having a terrible time trying to get these back on. I put the left cushion back on flawlessly and the right is a different design for some reason and I'm really regretting getting these now.
they are wors the audiotechnica M40x and BD they cost probably the same as AT but sound way below my expectarions , I got CX 3.00 and 569 sound like cheap headphones I am using on desktop pc and smartphone

Yeah it is annoying how Bluetooth essentially creates a market for replacing perfectly good headphones every few years. Look at the Apple Watch!! Instead of buying a single watch that lasts for 20 years you need to upgrade your watch every few years to keep getting updates and new features. I’m still rocking the same solar powered Citizen watch for 15 years and it still works great.

These headphones sound so muffled... cymbals are extremely distorted too. My $60 dollar ghostek headphones sound crisp and clear, these sound worse than a pair of $20 dollar earbuds from 2010... No idea why the 569s get such good reviews, maybe I just got a defective one. This was a massive downgrade in quality for me. Gonna RMA this.
These headphones are honestly god awful. I bought these as my first "audiophile" headphones, side-grading from the Arctis Pros, because Steelseries products like to break themselves, but, they honestly sucked. Don't buy these for the love of god.
@@phantompizza I found these headphones were comparatively muddy and bass heavy. They were far from flat. I really didn't like the audio signature at all. It wasn't so much they were bad, but worse than what I was used to. They ARE better than something like beats, but, still not great. I would suggest getting something else if available. I made my previous comment out of anger and have since returned the product so take it with a grain of salt. But, regardless, Audio Technica is known for their open-back headphones, not their closed back.

I upgraded mine by adding the ifi go bar (£239) and a balanced 4.4mm TRRS cable from Oidio they sound amazing.

I ended up getting the Beyer 770s over the HD569, found the 770s to have better soundstage and clarity, the 569s sounded muddy in the mids for me.

Good question. The hd6xx’s may be a better option for studio monitoring but it depends how much accuracy you are looking for

I can confirm the 280 pro and 569 sound similar, but 569 are better for use with mobile devices such as smartphones, where the 280 pro are better for at home listen, I will say to my ears after a good burn-in period the 280 pro have slight better detail and wider sound stage but not by much, you might want to eq either pair in the bass & treble just a tad because they can sound a little flat at times

Never tried the beyerdynamics. If I recall they don’t have a detachable cable though. For me that is a deal breaker

Returned the 770’s and went with the 569’s, purely for comfort. Clamping force is much lighter on sennheiser’s and cups are bigger.

Good question. I have not tried the momentum3's so I cannot tell you how they compare. If you try them both i would love to hear your opinion
The ear cups peeled and ripped, so I replaced them with velour cups and it feels great like my HD 558.
Did the velour cups change the sound stage? I did the same with my AKG K550’s and after swapping out the ear pads I hated the sound after.
@@poutineitup9510 Sound is probably a bit more open but it doesn’t bother me. I love the comfort/feel of velour, and appreciate not worrying about peeling. If I want compete sound isolation, I use Bose Quiet Comfort. 👍
@@sportscastercanada i did that with my k371 changed to dekoni velour and hated how it changed sound, less bassy but then i got used to the new sound and now i think it's the best sound quality ive ever heard, right next to my hd650. So maybe with the hd569 and velour upgrade i would love a more open and brighter sound

I have this headphone and after burning in for 100 hours in a white noise the audio quality is phenomenal with wide soundstage like you are wearing an open back headset 🙂
Do like my hd6xx’s more but I still love my 569’s a lot

@@poutineitup9510 there are so many negative reviews on the hd569, I got them now and have had hd599 its open back original this version is based on. Maybe people were expecting to have the same sound which is impossible being closed back. I do like them, even better than my m50x, and a bit less than my k371 or close. Also got the HD650 of which your hd6xx are a clone, and those are amazing for just music, the hd599 great with movies, and these hd569 i just got them today and very enjoyable for general use, they are not as comfortable as the hd599 which are like clouds, but still nice and look the best of all my headphones, will be using them at the Caffe for show 😁🎧
Hi, great interesting video, I wonder how they compare with hd560S or hd650/660 , great you have your hd570, I have hd575 but when I bought them my hifi was low impedance I/p and never used them for a long time only when I changed my hifi I started to use them . Very comfortable and has thick pad’s compared to sennheiser are producing now . Regards mark

few years ago my sennheiser hd 457s finally died and they were sooo great and only were like $20 from the early 2000s.
I don't know if they have anything like them anymore, everything is gaming this or way too expensive.
I view wired headphones as a long term purchase so I don’t mind spending the extra. I’m surprised they were only $20. I think I spent around $80 for my old pair.

Wish you would have addressed the comfort aspects of these headphones. All the sound quality aspects go out the window if you can't wear them for more then a few minutes due to discomfort. I'll be glad to sacrifice a little to get headphones that feel great and that can be worn as though they aren't even there.
Thanks for your comment. I wear these headphones all the time at work for long periods of time (hours) and they are ultra comfortable. I have a big head and I do not feel like my head is being squeezed at all.

I removed my ear pads and the right ear pad is different from the left and I'm having a terrible time trying to get these back on. I put the left cushion back on flawlessly and the right is a different design for some reason and I'm really regretting getting these now.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. Did you break them in or are they brand new? I find headphones sound different when they are brand new but tend to sound better after they are broken in.
@@poutineitup9510 brand new and I never customize EQ levels only bass , years ago I used for very long Creative EP 630 , there are sound signatures I don't know what signature they had creatives , I also bought Sundiomagic 10 sounded not balanced probably would sound good in on hig quality files and things like fioo

Finally gave up on Bluetooth.
Yeah it is annoying how Bluetooth essentially creates a market for replacing perfectly good headphones every few years. Look at the Apple Watch!! Instead of buying a single watch that lasts for 20 years you need to upgrade your watch every few years to keep getting updates and new features. I’m still rocking the same solar powered Citizen watch for 15 years and it still works great.

These headphones sound so muffled... cymbals are extremely distorted too. My $60 dollar ghostek headphones sound crisp and clear, these sound worse than a pair of $20 dollar earbuds from 2010... No idea why the 569s get such good reviews, maybe I just got a defective one.
This was a massive downgrade in quality for me. Gonna RMA this.

These headphones are honestly god awful. I bought these as my first "audiophile" headphones, side-grading from the Arctis Pros, because Steelseries products like to break themselves, but, they honestly sucked. Don't buy these for the love of god.

@@phantompizza I found these headphones were comparatively muddy and bass heavy. They were far from flat. I really didn't like the audio signature at all.
It wasn't so much they were bad, but worse than what I was used to. They ARE better than something like beats, but, still not great. I would suggest getting something else if available. I made my previous comment out of anger and have since returned the product so take it with a grain of salt.
But, regardless, Audio Technica is known for their open-back headphones, not their closed back.
