👍🇵🇹❤️I love GOA 🏝️🇵🇹👍👍

✌️✌️🇵🇹🇵🇹❤️❤️I love GOA 🏝️🏝️🏝️✌️✌️

Too much of Goa, Goa,Goa everywhere on WhatsApp, FB, TV, newspapers etc and too much tourism is costing Goa dearly. In 80's and until late 90's one would feel the Mediterranean Europe, south American feeling with narrow lanes, Portuguese villas, and more of localites, fun of enjoying drinks in a local bar after relaxing at a beach etc seems to be dwindling with locals selling their lands to outsiders who have outnumbered Goans, pollution, over population, high storey buildings replacing beautiful villas, Real estate businesses r owned by big shots and properties by Bollywood stars, businessmen's making it too commercial. Beaches like calangute, colva have become like Mumbai's juhu beach and other beaches r on the verge of it..Goa is losing it's charm...Sad but true

I miss Goa, my uncle which lived in Goa 3 years in late 50's still reminisces as an 80 year old. I just cannot believe how dirty, unkept and populated it is now! I've been to Goa 2x's long time ago, but am afraid of what I will find now. Such a beautiful place being destroyed by Hindu hate of Portugal & Portuguese culture; Goans please do something, this is your culture, and your homeland!

      1. there is no hindu hate if there are no reasons.
      2. Your own insecurities and imaginations feed your own mind.
      3. stop with colonial hangover.
      4. study history objectively and listen to the other side too
      5. enlighten your uncle of the atrocities of Portuguese empire. you should express remorse and utter shame
      ua-cam.com/video/JjVfJF92lfs/v-deo.html
      6. stop with your constant bitterness, constant ranting and complaining about a 'golden past' and move on with your life.
      7. just as the Portugal been geographically and culturally part of Europe and European by nature,, goa region has been culturally and geogrpahically part of Bharath Khanda or Saptha Sindhu (Land of seven rivers) or Indian subcontinent for ages. Learn to respect the local culture.
      8. Instead of hating and cursing the hindus which portuguese have actually murdered in thousands during the inquistion, please worry about Islamisation of Europe, the islamisation of portugal. Soon there might be sharia laws parallel to your own democratic laws. You should be more worried about what polticians in europe are doing!

@@quark31 I have gotten over, after all I was 1 yr old when Goa was illegaly invaded by Nehru; FACT! The reality is plain to see; Goa was in much better shape when the Portuguese were there. Yes... geogaphically Goa was in the Indian subcontinent, however, with NO political entity as India united was just a very far dream. Your claim on Hindu hate not existing is totally FALSE, just like your statements on 'my hate' or insecurities! I have none, or I would not be here having a tete-a-tete with you! I dont 'hate' anybody, but the unfair comments of ignorant urchins that know nothing about my history or that of my country, disrespected by most of your folks, and if you feel hating is 'ok' with 'reason' then maybe I have a reason to 'hate'Indians too, but I don't...I hate their comments and their ignorant attitudes towards Portugal. I have been to India 3 x and I know India and its people quite well, so pls stop your condescending speech and learn about Portugal yourself from neutral sources. Portuguese used force when & if needed in order to keep order snd keep clean. If Hindus or any others had accquiesced and not attempted be violent towards Portuguese rule, their descendency would probably still be around, but NO so they paid the price and stop moaning about it; my people have also been slaughtered in the past and I am not here hatting on them, or do you think Indians are special and above others? Have you been, lived or travelled in Europe? If not, don't tell me where I should be concentrating my interests, comments or ideals on, neither tell me how to comunicate or view the statements of ignorant/ hateful Indians, least of all I suggest you do the same! Namaste...

Maria Da Conceicao Barros Goncalves Da Silva Dear Maria, Invasion or liberation depends on how you see it. i see it as a liberation of Goa. The indian army invaded after provocation. The portuguese had already fired and killed indian fishermen. BesidesThere was already local resistance to Portuguese rule since the 1900s. At the time liberation, Portugal itself was under a fascist government. There have been campaigns prior within Goa.
Tristao is considered the father of Goan liberation. He was also an Indian nationalist.

@@quark31 Invasion or liberation is not subject to personal interpretation, but addressed clearely by International law! Sure... there were attempts at 'liberation', as there were attempts made by other ex-colonies that went to war with the Portuguese fascist leader at the time, case in question, Cape Verde. PAIGC their pro-independence group fought for it, but ask MANY Cape Verdian today & they complain they wish they had not been independent but like the Azores & Madeira, because they would benefit from the EU. Never shoot oneself in the foot! The reality is Goa was an integral part of Portugal, a pluricultural entity, and had greedy Nehru been patient, Goa would be much better off today. India was provoked?! Portugal was fighting Indian provocation and periodic aggressive Indian acts too. Goa state was not all completly under Portuguese control, there were Indian/Hindu controlled areas and the Portuguese borders were always surrounded. No sense in saying Goa was "liberated" when it is now 'slave' to another master, uncontrolled by commercialism, corruption, nepotism and plain dirtyness. Just because mistakes were commited by Portuguese, doesn't mean we did not attempt to make Goa the beloved pearl it was. And apologies, why should I apologize for an act i did not commit? Does it bring back the dead? No of course not, but of course we feel terrible about it; we are good people. Portugal was is little and spread all over the world. A great majority of mainland citizens went hungry to support colonialism to help other lands have some sort of infrastruture. It hurts to read and hear the desdain in words and feelings of many Indians and Goans that don't know crap about the Portuguese, or Portugal. Compared to other powers we were kind . We love/d Goa & my 80+ year old uncle still dreams of it. The fact remains we have a PM of Goan origins! As for providing proof ...I don't have time for this, but all you have to do is Google, Goa, "illegal invation or liberation" and blogs on it. When Jakarta invaded East Timor was it liberation? Peace and great Holidays...

There's too many comments about Bangladeshi's and nepali's running Goa. Truth is it's everyone; westerners who turn every fucking beach into a goddamn tanning bed ( it's extremely disheartening when your local beach that was supposed to be so peaceful and somewhere you'd find solace becomes an entire stretch of people laid with their asses out), other non goan Indians who settle and own every other business and property (I'm not blaming anyone personally but you have to admit when you settle on a land that has cultural history and you're not from there, you erode the culture away), MNC's and corporations that take away the revenue from other small businesses (case in point, you don't see the youth wearing anything that isn't branded anymore), and especially goans for letting people take their land away, for accommodating the Russian language when you very well know no white country would even bother with our culture, for creating an environment where you fight your brothers and neighbors for the land that eventually goes to the third man, for choosing the outsider over the local. It's a consequence of time, freedom and corruption. You can't help it

Are you serious???? Your comment is garbage! Clearly an Ignorant who has no knowledge whatsoever! "White people don't bother with our culture" clearly you are living in your Ignorant head! First of all why should they! But they are the ones who adapt and live to learn about cultures of the world especially India! Whites do more yoga than Indians themselves! Look at the hare Krishna movement, Iskcon! Most are Europeans itself! Telgu is very popular in America right now and many are interested in Indian classical dance n music especially Russians! Indians when abroad going for studies or even to settle permanently don't like to adapt and embrace their culture actually be it anywhere in the world and they they say world hates us, obviously people like you are there who have such attitudes! Only go around to make money but not to care! Why don't you do something instead of sitting on your arse! Fucking Bitch! Third class idiot! You know anything about India first of all? Talking about Europeans showing their bum but it's okay when the Indians show their bums or how in ancient times they roamed topless and sometimes completely nude! Talk about hypocrisy lady! Have some fucking shame. It was better you didn't comment but since you did I have to shut you up, it's not the duty of foreigners to clean Goan beaches! but they do it more than the Goans and other Indians, it's such a shame! It even came on newspapers! Your blaming other Indians for buying land n doing business, blame yourself first.

so beautiful ...this took me in my 1980 days when I was kid . as a resident of goa I would like to share the reason for changing goa. non-goans ,bhiknakars ,ghatis are the reason for destroying surroundings and reputation of our motherland but do you people know some of our own shitty selfish goans sell their own land and properties for these non goans for money and they don't think the fact that they are selling their motherland .foreign tourists even visit goa but they have love towards nature and keep our goa clean. so please if you want to sell your land sell it to goan. because they are of our blood from our motherland

Majority of the new gated communities are being built without any sanitation systems, same like the buildings in the native villages of the ghanttis. Goa also doesn't have enough water, food or energy resources to sustain the ghantti influx. Their culture is also rubbish - most ghanttis wear inappropriate clothes and behave in a vulgar manner when visiting religious places here.
