Great work as always. We started using the lever wire nuts low voltage. Makes is so much nice when you have to diagnose low voltage issues. No pulling regular wire nuts off and untwisting the wires. Also makes it a lot nicer trying to check voltages while connected. We were at -8 degrees this morning in south eastern PA. Where did you get that little magnetic tray in your bag from?
Man ! You did get some snow!! Guess this event is a record setter! Glad you were able to hold all your non emergency calls till better road conditions. Headed out on an emergency oil boiler no heat myself at 8pm but it’s just 16 degrees here and no new snow. Be safe out there
We only have had 7 inches of snow all winter. Most of its gone. Two nights ago it was -22F with -40F windchill. Even the dog didn't stay out long to do his thing. That was burning the skin.
Another great job. We have about 1" of snow here in Minnesota where i live. But twas -39 wind chill a couple days ago. Waiting Waiting for some snow. Allot of lakes could use all the water from spring melt. Thanks for all your podcasts you've saved this guy some $$$$. Much appreciated! Now i just have to figure out why one of our Honeywell T6s is not going above 69 degrees but I'm thankful it's not 49 degrees. Probably time to replace...but with what? Geeer!
A good set of all season tires will keep you safe in inclement weather. I'll usually put on a couple T-shirts, a long sleeve T-shirt, long johns, a fleece sweater/jacket, a jacket, a knit cap, and North Face or Bogs boots. That usually will keep a person warm, but still mobile, down to several degrees below zero. Enjoy the snow while you got it :)
Exact same thing happened to my carrier unit 2 weeks ago coastal Alabama. Outside thermostat wire shorting blowing air handler fuse. Tape and padding and new fuse, up and running less than 30 minutes.
It's funny to us up north who driving in snow and freezing rain and snow is practically second nature. To how some places shit down like a natural disaster .
Likely caused by someone walking through the condensor and tripping on the liquid tight, pulled the wires and caused the short. Might have wanted to secure that liquid tight a little better Curtis. Us Canadian folk call the Skull caps toques or block heaters hahaha.👍👍🇨🇦
8:23 looks like Romex was run through the conduit, that is a no-no and not code compliant. Exterior conduit is considered a wet location. UF or individual THWN conductors would have been the correct choice.
I never get tired of your videos. You are such an up beat guy that just gets the job done come rain or shine and even snow!
Thanks

Same here. We don't see snow either in central Texas. We got 1/2 in of it. Same storm as you got. Glad it is supposed to warm back up.
You sir,are a pleasure to watch.
Knowledgeable without any attitude
I appreciate that, thanks for watching.
Good find. Stay warm. Bazar weather patterns!
Holy crap. I think this is the first time I've ever seen more air condensers in one spot than what I have in my entire neighborhood.
could you emagine the heat in that area durring the summer
You always seem good at diagnosing wiring problems. Thanks. Edit: I would hate to have my bedroom next to all those condensing units.
BIG BAD HVAC GUY - Braving the Elements! LOVE IT.

Yeah I live in the Northeast so snow is common... but have to say if it has to be cold it may as well snow... snow equals fun... and it looks great!
Better than Netflix most days.
I always learn a lot from your video's. Stay warm
Thanks, you too
Great video Curtis, your customer sure would have appreciated your good service during this cold snowy weather.. Well done, and Keep Warm 👍Au

For that customer with no heat, you were "Santa Curtis"! ☃❄🎅
Hey Curtis, I can't believe that Panama City has got some snow this year
Tough driving in all that traffic. A regular winter wonderland
Snow, That'll teach ya,
Love Canada
Buen trabajo amigo 🫡
Gracias
My Peach got frozen. lol 😎
It's funny to us up north who driving in snow and freezing rain and snow is practically second nature. To how some places shit down like a natural disaster .
good job
Thanks
As always your videos never disappoint! What body cam are you using here? The picture is crisp and clear!
GoPro
Nicely done as always!
Thanks!
Curtis, I grew up calling that hat a toboggan. Skullcap is a new one on me.
I grew up in the 60’s and they used to say Poodle Cap or Stocking Cap. A toboggan was a Sled with a Curved Up Front and 2-3 Kids riding on it.
@@kens.3729 It was one of those too. We just tried hard not to wear the kind that was a sled. 🙂
Nice work, Mr Curtis. Keep warm Sir. I think the Ford HVAC Van is proper prepared for these snow days.
I had zero difficulty with it
Stay Safe Curtis
-16 here in Southwest Pa this morning. Stay warm have a good day
Nice fix! Be careful tomorrow, as that will refreeze overnight.
Snow will be gone Friday or before lol:) Good fix as always sir
We had the snow last week here in Tennessee, and it was zero here this morning

an actual Ocean of units ! Never seen that many units in one spot before. How did u know which one it was ?
Luckily it was labeled
@ that's a Miracle ! it was the right one.
I knew you would get that snow. Nice repair, man this is not a good time to be with no heat.
Seems like you mighta had fun driving. That apartment complex sprouted a whole forest of condenser units. Did you replace that 5 amp fuse with a 3?
Yes
Nice 😊
Thanks 😊
You have just about the same amount of snow on the ground as I do here in CT.
Difference is that it’s 13 degrees here 🥶 Stay safe Curtis.
This morning it was 18 degrees. But, it’s now 37. So, this is melting already
22 below zero in Minnesota🥶
@@dan-qq9nq Yikes ! It was zero this morning but worked its way up to 19 I think. 🥶
It was 3 this morning in Kentucky damn that to cold for me 😮

Those heatpumps ain't liking that cold! lol
In my 75 years here in NW Florida, I've never seen snow this deep, "10 inches", or last more than a few hours.
10 inches snow in Florida? That's very surprised. Keep warm Sir.
Cool video on The Weather Channel showing snow on the panhandle beaches, that's a rarity!
Quick make a video of Riley discovering the snow!🐕
Sing palm trees with snow on them is definitely a sight
While working outside, someone's AC unit was running. Why? Are these units also Heat Pumps?
Yes
Of course they are. He wouldn't be fixing a "no heat" problem on an A/C system.
Hey Curtis, isn't that whip suppose to have a lock nut to prevent it from moving around?
Curtis. Maybe you can answer this question. Why do furnaces always seem to break only in the winter? 😉
They seem to break when you need them most
@@HVACGUY
Off topic, a car will only stall when it is running and you only run out of gas when the tank is empty. Another mystery of life.
Wow
we've got more snow than that here in New Orleans...
I heard
Hey Curtis, is that the most snow you've ever had at your home?
By far, yes
Want more snow.
Think what this will do to rhe price of orange juice
Nice snowday
Are you using WAGO's yet ? If you do, use the orig German mfg, not china ko's. Nice work.
Those cotton plants are blooming early.
Ha! Ye, this is a different Georgia Snow
They don’t have a termination on the liquid tight?
Look everyone, a snow bunny.
Hell is freezing over.
For your head lamp what did u use for padding or recommend to use for padding when not wearing a hat?
easy one atleast....
Make America snow again
