- Removed the old "teak" deck plates, that had split due to water breaking them down. Found out about this product, real teak was not an option due to cost. Installed this synthetic teak deck, i think the result was very nice. Cheap, looks nice, nice to walk on(foam, so its soft), good foot traction.
The only thing is durability, but so far no problems. I added teak caulk, to protect the edges from water.

I hear a lot of times that it's soaking rain water or anya water, is that true?
What sort of paper did you use for the templates? Looks like a type of foil backing.
I don’t know the name for it, but it’s some kind of paper used for construction. Aluminium paper for wet barrier, building bathrooms and such. Just took something laying around, but it sure made it easier.
What kind of boat is that, it looks really nice. 👌
Its a Crescent Virgo, early model. Nice boat, I like the cockpit, size and hull. Perfect for Nordic climate.
What's your experience one year later? Did it last? Any tearing?
I have not used it to much because of engine problems, so not so much mechanical wear. But put the boat back in today, still looks like when it was installed.
Would help if you explained as you went along!
Sure, when i did this install i was not really in good spirit in general. So it was just footage i took and edited together a long time later. Its fairly straight forward though.
Making a template, cuting out the correct size, plaze down and i used regular teak couching to help protect the corners from water. It still looks the same as when i installed it.
Whoa it's been a long time xD
Hehe, yes. I was hoping nobody would notice the upload :)
Still looking good after 5 months?
How is the EVA holding up so far?
Heres mudo
