- A series of explosions caused leaks on two gas pipelines that feed natural gas from Russia to Germany.

Two underwater explosions, or shakings, were recorded in the Baltic Sea shortly before leaks were found in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which were pressurized with natural gas. Both pipelines were not operational.
The first shaking, measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale, was recorded southeast of Bornholm, a Danish island, the Guardian reported, citing Denmark's Geological Survey. The second, with a magnitude 2.1 earthquake, was reported northeast of the island.

@@darren1450 Russia has several motives. The pipeline had already been shut off, and Europe was successfully storing up gas for the winter. So NS1 and NS2 no longer served a financial purpose for Russia. This is a warning to Europe not to get in their way. If Russia can destroy this line, they can also destroy the one connecting Poland and Norway. It also can be used as a false flag attack, to get Europeans to hate Americans. This is useful, because only the Americans are supplying enough material to keep Ukraine afloat. If America is pushed out of Europe, Russia wins the war.

To take out Russia as the supplier of fuel to Europe has been in America's plans since before Bush was in office. Cunnilingus Rice is on record saying she thought taking control from russia over fuel distribution in Europe was essential to American interests.

@@wang064111. There are 5 pipelines (excluding NS) from RU to EU and only 2 from these are going through Ukraine, one of the rest: Yamal is going directly from RU through Belarus and Poland only and from april this year is not working (is empty) and ready to use.
Edit: The Yamal owners are Gazprom and PGNIG (polish government company) and nobody else.

I know :`( The cod fish are endadgered in this sea, Östersjön, and the location of the leaks are a very critical place for them, this is exactly where the cod is remaning and stiving for survival. Who will benefit most when the main gas pipelines from Russia to EU/German are destroyed. Zelensky would be the happiest since Russia lose its only big bargaining chip with EU, but Ukraine does not have the capability to that job. The real beneficiaries would be US and UK. They have the following benefits. (1) Eliminate German and France softened stance when negotiate with Putin. (2) Put EU in a very harsh condition when winter comes. So they will buy a lots of very expensive US LNG and heavy heating oil from Scotland North Sea oil wells. (3) Reduce German heavy and essential industries competitiveness against the same industries in UK and US. So as to keep US and UK from falling into very deep recession. (4) Cut off all the petro incomes from EU to Russia, so as to starve Putin financially. Yes, US and UK did it.

But, if it takes 5 minutes between flash and blast, then you are about 60 miles from the burst, which means you have not been hammered by direct radiation. You can make efforts to survive.
