After getting a promise that NATO would never be at Russia's border, Ukraine sought NATO membership while at the same time attacking Russian Ukrainians in Eastern Ukraine. The world would have us believe that Putin is the aggressive war monster when the opposite is the truth. He has been responding to NATO/USA transgressions for years as any nation, we all assume, has a "right to self-defense". It's not good enough to just "take sides" anymore. Americans have a knee jerk reaction that the USA is ALWAYS right, but in these precarious times, the only ally people need is the truth!

And NS2 as well as NS1 was dead in the water when the attack happened. Germany refused to initiate deliveries on NS2 when Russia invaded, just like Biden said.
Also, NS2 was not completely destroyed, because NS1 and NS2 each has two pipes, and only one of the NS2 pipes were destroyed. Germany could at any time have made a deal with Russia to start deliveries on this remaining NS2 pipe, which alone would have had the capacity to supply Germany and Europe with their immediate needs.

Not exactly. Russia invaded Ukraine, Germany decided to not start taking deliveries on NS2. Russia tried to force Germany into spending their reserves by faking "technical difficulties" on NS1 first reducing deliveries, and then ending them completely.
And, faking difficulties is important, because contracts for deliveries are highly regulated, and even covers wartimes. Russia is an energy provider dependent on deliveries to other nations. If they cut deliveries because of such disputes, not nations would rely on Russia for deliveries, as Russia could use this position to force their hands. So, they couldn't have these technical difficulties indefinitely.
So, then NS1 and NS2 gets sabotaged, convenient, but they were already dead in the water. The sabotage did not end deliveries in it self. But, now Russia could blame someone else for not delivering on NS1. And they could blame NATO for the attack, and use this as propaganda towards their own people, saying NATO has attacked.
But, deliveries were a considerable source of income for Russia, E1B a day actually. So, like magic, only three out of four pipelines were destroyed. Yes, NS1 and NS2 had two pipes each.
And, NS2 could with the single pipeline cover all of Germanys and Europes immediate needs if a deal was done for the NS2 pipeline. Obviously, some sanctions would have to be lifted first.
But, Germany CHOSE not to go down that path, and chose other sources for delivery instead.

I know the connections, and dependencies, between Germany and Russia. And those were both economical but also personal. I also know Germany has a history which might have affected your responce.
My point was that if we were to criticize anything, then the rather slow response time and reluctance would be a better starting point.

BS, when the attack happened both NS1 and NS2 were dead in the water. Germany had because of the invasjon, like Biden said, clearly stated that there would be no deliveries on the NS2 pipelines. The attacks did not stop Russian deliveries on these pipes.
Furthermore, NS2 wasn't even completely destroyed, because there were four pipes in total, three were destroyed. The last NS2 pipe could have delivered enough gas to cover the immediate needs of Germany and Europe.

Reality is, both NS1 and NS2 were dead in the water at the time of the attacks. Germany had clearly stated that there would be no deliveries on the NS2 pipes.
Furthermore, NS1 and NS2 are really 4 pipelines, only 3 were destroyed. One of the NS2 pipelines remains and could be operational if Germany wanted to make a deal with Russia.

Also, I'm seeing a lot of people calling this a warcrime, or that this risks causing WW3, but the leaks didn't happen in Russian territory, but in Denmark and Norway, and this doesn't meet any requirements to be considered a warcrime.

The sabotage of the Nord Stream offshore gas pipelines was similar to the attacks on Nicaraguan oil infrastructure in 1983 that were supported by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.
Around that time, saboteurs hired by the CIA organised strikes against Nicaragua, which included blowing up an oil pipeline in one of the ports.
The CIA created a guidebook for the contras in October 1983 that endorsed terrorism and assassination. In a closed-door meeting in late 1983, Clarridge informed Congress that the contras had murdered “civilians and Sandinista officials in the provinces as well as heads of cooperatives, nurses, doctors, and judges” with U.S. assistance.
This was an acknowledgment by the administration that it had been clearly in violation of the Executive Order that forbade US participation in assassinations.
Additionally, a war of economics was launched by President Reagan against the Sandinistas. American businesses that do business with Nicaragua came under political pressure. In October 1982, Standard Fruit departed the nation after deciding not to buy any more Nica bananas.
In December, Nicara-gua received a 30-million-dollar short-term loan from Bank of America. Bank of America refused to approve the loan as a result of pressure from the State Department. The United States slashed the Nicaraguan sugar quota by 90% in 1983 after already cutting economic help and preventing financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). Although the United States was an original signatory to the pact, the General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs (GATT) found that this judgement violated it.
However, the United States disregarded the decision. Operations against Nicaragua’s economic infrastructure were carried out by the CIA directly.
In September, CIA commandos invaded Puerto Sandino and then went back to destroy an oil pipeline under the sea. The oil and gasoline tanks at Corinto were set on fire in October by CIA commandos. Numerous individuals were hurt, and since the fires were so fierce, 25,000 people had to be evacuated for two days while the fires were put out. President Reagan gave the CIA broader permission to attack economic infrastructure in December. CIA commandos assaulted the petroleum installations at Puerto Sandino and San Juan del Norte in March after U.S. personnel stormed the Potosi port in January. CIA commandos buried mines in all of the main ports and shipping lanes from January to March 1984.
On Nicaragua’s Atlantic and Pacific coasts, from January through March 1984, CIA operatives laid explosives in all of the key ports and trade channels. Ships from the Netherlands, Japan, Liberia, Panama, the Soviet Union, and Nicaragua all ran afoul of mines in April. The Reagan government denied any involvement and attributed the deeds to the contras. Later, the United States was compelled to reimburse these nations for their damages by the World Court in The Hague, which rendered judgement in favour of the governments of Nicaragua, Japan, The Netherlands, Liberia, Panama, and The Soviet Union. The verdict was disregarded by the Reagan administration.
