finally Paul. Finally you push a bit the Santana shaped guitars. Incredible instrument. Shape, feeling, tone, playability. Thanks! PS: good that PRS decided here to remove the neck binding too. Overall a great release.
fantastic choice and good taste by your son! congrats! My first ever concert was "The Police" in my home city Ruesselsheim (Germany) 40 years ago and a was so impressed and inspired and still have these memories in my mind!!@@vedder10
yesss indeed fantastic band. I was a huge fan back in the days and still am. It took me some more days to discover Santana. Back then a friend of my older brother brought the freshly released record "Abraxas" with him and I remember a was not that much impressed back then (maybe 40 years ago or so - was maybe 14 years or so back then). I think I was too young and my ears not yet developed that much. But some years later when I was a learning guitarist myself (which I still am ;)) I discovered Santana at second look and was hugely impressed by his style and soulful improvisations. Until today one of my biggest influences and sources of inspiration.@@vedder10
Why O why can't PRS make the Santana headstock the standard headstock across the whole range, it is so classy and traditional looking as opposed to the pointy shape. This is the best model in the whole core range, Paul got it right the very first time.
Although I agree that it’s silly for folks to complain about expensive, high-end guitars being… well, expensive, I have to completely disagree with your suggestion. Are people whose life’s calling is to be a musician supposed to go to law school or be trained as a dentist so they can buy a suitable instrument? That’s quite a detour to make, especially given how good affordable import guitars (including some recent PRS SE models) have gotten over the past decade.
People should stop grumbling about why they can’t afford these guitars and perhaps go to school get qualified and be that lawyer or dentist or what ever you think is going to get you a guitar that is expensive because these people did sacrifice time to get these degrees and now they have spare money to buy what they want . I’m sure I’m not alone in this thought,i get sick of people bitchin about the cost of things STOP go get a career and save like we all have to. Nice guitar by the way.
@@UnderCoverBeWaterDo you have a well paying job though. All the degrees in the world are worthless if they don’t give you a decent lifestyle. Alan Sugar is worth £100’s of millions and never went to University.
If you want a guitar and dont have alot of money, make payments on layaway for a couple years. A store isnt going to refuse money. Just keep making monthly payments. When your down to 1000$ finance w credit. Im poor and i have a 10000$ guitar i saved for 3 years to get.
So let me ask you something can you create a guitar and if you can do so stop criticizing other people and stop being so goddamn judgment you know what I mean that man putting a lot of work to make great great guitars you should try to make one yourself and stop being so criticizing
I did get my lefty PRS SE 277 from Guitar Center and GC honored the 20% sale PRS had. Thank you, Guitar Center. ❤
I enjoyed the video. Paul is a legend and he makes high quality guitars.
Amen and happy thanksgiving.
The best I ever heard Santana play was at Woodstock. He was on fire that day. I think he played an SG. I wish I had that guitar.
literally on fire???
He was high on acid. Google it.
He was also on a major dose of LSD
Me enamoré de esa guitarra. Luce genial y suena mejor aún. Es fantástica

wonderful instrument and also tribute to one of the greatest guitarists and musicians.
Absolutely correct. My 17 year old son just went to his first concert this summer and it was Carlos Santana here in Maryland.

@@67er_matze97oh I would have loved to have seen the police live in concert. One of my all time favorite bands.

@PaulReedSmith you need to make those picups available in every guitar you make. Those sound really freaking good!!!!
Yeah.. the amp and speaker had nothing to do with the sound 😂
Very cool ! 🎸🇨🇦
So when will Eric C. Play a PRS guitar?
,,,..YES,,,,..........what dreams are made of 😮 land o'lakes,wi.
LOVE the Santana, but the pre-factory had more carve to the top. Also It would be great if they would put the maple block between the pickups
I’ve been missing Paul’s vidoes!
I always wished that PRS would make a Santana model, or using that body, but with a single P90....and a stop tail.
link broken - or all sold out?
Paul, please put that Santana headstock on more models (sub $10,000 models).
PRS are the best guitars made if you consider tone, playability, comfort, build quality, tuning stability, reliability, and looks.
But not cost.
Mmmm let me think. Nop.

Sounds to me just like any guitar

15000 peanuts ;)
again something only a lawyer or a dentist can afford
Blah
PRS when are you going to come up with more of your own styles instead of copying Fender Gibson Epiphone styles

That’s an ignorant thing to say.
I will agree. Ignorant!!!!
