spit my water out when i heard Yokohomo
LOL. I didn't purposely enunciate it with an O at the end and didn't realize that until you pointed it out!
Fantastic video. It's awesome to see your natural excitement for the project at hand and just general knowledge in modification choices. Keep it up. Very jealous of the beautiful garage and clean cars
Thanks man!
The new Advans are really looking good. This is also the first time I noticed just how shiny red your NA Miata is (mine badly needs a paint job) and that you apparently have the silver carbon Zoom side view mirrors. Very nice touch. Keep up the good work. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
Thanks Kyle. Eh my NA needs paint. The camera just makes it look a lot juicier than it really is ;)
Yes!! More s2k vids and updates!!
I have plenty of project AP1 and AP2 S2000 vids in the plans for this year! :)
I want an S2000 so bad, one of the best looking Japanese cars ever made in my opinion! Bought a Miata, and love the thing, but its really just the cheapest way to quench my front engine RWD thirst, S2000 is next on the list!
Same... But I already gave up of buying a S2000... Way too expensive here in Portugal...
I hear ya! I built my 99 Miata the way I did because of my love and at the time lust for the S2000 ;)
The motor in your 99 is almost exactly what I want to put in my 91! You really do have impeccable taste in cars!
I have a Suzuka Blue AP1. Bone stock except for Volk CE28 wheels and Stop Tech pads and rotors. I want to build my S2000 like this.
Your channel is HIGHLY underrated. Been trying to find wheels for my AP1 and can't find the right fitment TE37 so your Advan setup looks ideal. I know it's been a while, but does it rub? Did you end up having to roll your fenders? I'm trying to avoid doing so if at all possible. Thanks again for the great content!
Those are beautiful!
Thank you!
Love it! I have the same wheels but gold👌
Thanks man.
I was going to ask what exhaust you had after that amazing into lol. But then when you explained everything you did to it my brain turned off lol. It sounds AMAZING. Wish I could get had that lol.
Thanks Kane. I sometimes think about selling it and running something else. I can keep you in mind if I ever do.
Garage Quinn Motors lol please do! I would buy it in a heart beat lol.
A video going over AP1 vs AP2 differences would be great. As well as what to look for, both good and bad.
I can do that!
Garage Quinn Motors yes if you can do that because soon I will buy one but I don't know which one should I buy ..I like them both .
These work so well on the S2000, not my fave on your gorgeous NB.
There was an AP1 that was around from back in the day and it was a silverstone Ap1 with Mugen top, Amuse R1 front and silver RG2's. The car was sold and parted out a long long time ago, but it always has and is still my S2K muse.
Very nice video.
Thanks!
Very nice, I have a AP2 myself, and have some work wheels on the way. Are you running stock wheel size? Should consider 255 squared stance, the handling of that vs stock just feels so much better.
The fronts are wider than stock and the rears are the same with but lower offset. I think 255 is more tire than I need for the power the car is making. Plus it's a slightly taller sidewall than the 245/40/17 and AP1 gearing is already a little long. These are just going to be my street wheel/tire setup anyways. Haven't settled on what I want to run for a track setup yet.
Nice work but I'd ditch the cusco catch can. I just threw mine away. They do nothing but look pretty and throw oil right back in the motor. I switched to a baffled mishimoto and it works amazing.
Thanks David, I actually modified this one so it cannot recirculate like that.
Wow car looks amazing with those wheels! I think I may have just found my new set up, been looking to change out the stock wheels for awhile! I'm currently on stock height, do you think there would be any need to roll fenders or do something with the body work? Thank you in advance! +Garage Quinn Motors @Garage Quinn Motors
I am lowered and have not had to roll the fenders to clear this setup.
Wheels spec please ! 🙏
Awesome wheels sir! btw what brand is that carbon fiber hardtop on the silver ap1?
Thanks! It is a Forbidden top.
Awesome
Thanks!
What wheels are on the red s2000 in the back ground ? They look clean 🔥
Rays 57 extreme
I like the rims but not the color so much. Keep up the good work.
Thanks bud 👍
I have an 02 sebring silver with low miles. I do not want to roll or pull fenders. Now that you have these RG2s on your car - any need to roll? I do like the look of these wheels. Also, are you happy with the Continentals?
With -2.5' F and -2' R, I do not have any rubbing issues whatsoever without rolled folders, which was really a nice thing. I am pretty sure that Advan made these widths and offset for the S2000 specifically. Also, just an FYI these are RG2s, not RV2s.
You are running a lot more camber than I do. After watching a few of your videos I understand why. But, my car will remain stock suspension - stock in almost every way. So, for guys running oem spec alignment, will these wheels work? BTW - I spent some time watching a number of your videos and do want to complement you. You do a great job. There was a day in my life when I was moving in the direction with cars that you have gone. I rebuilt a few engines, did one engine swap. But, things went in a different direction and now I am content enjoying my essentially stock s2k. Still, I really enjoy following your projects.
Robert Gerety I’m on stock alignment and the wheel I found which fits perfectly is the Prodrive GC-07J ASM edition. It has very specific specs just for the S2000 which works with all different kinds of settings
Wheel specs for ap2 v1 rims???
Best place to buy these wheels in the U.S. ?
These are discontinued now. I had to source these used.
what tyre size on the ap1, the sidewall looks a little tall
225/45-17 Front and 245/40-17 Rear
what are the rim specs
17x7.5 +45 and 17x8.5 +51
I just bought new Bridgestone S-04 tires. My rears are the same size you're using in this video, but my fronts are the stock size 215/45-17. Can I fit this narrower tire on the 17x7.5 +45 Advan wheel?
what size are the tires ? thanks
225/45/17 F and 245/40/17 R
Garage Quinn Motors thanks you !! can’t wait to see the vid where you release, what is your next car, hopefully it’s an NSX or Supra !!
Hi folks, I emailed you about using my music in your videos. Could you get back to me please?
Hey Tony, I wasn't getting notifications for private messages. I responded :)
