For our ninth Steam Short, we caught former Norfolk & Western Class J #611 climbing and begining her descent on North Mountain along the former Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, now Buckingham Branch Railroad.

My special needs son is glad that 611 is pulling excursions on a main line again and hopes that it will more often like it used to and hopes she will also pull trains between Charlottesville, Gordonsville, and Clifton Forge like the 2 Canadian 4-6-2 Pacific's 1238 and 1286 did in the early 1990s.
