What a dream! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
It's thanks to you that I've found interest in this era of Grand Prix Racing. Thank you GPLaps. Perhaps we'll see a similar video with one of Richie Axelson's cars one day.
This type of footage is on such a high level of amazing that words cant do it justice. Thank you REVS for helping preserve and expose the greatest passion on earth.
It is our privilege and our pleasure to keep these cars alive for the next generation. Thank you for the kind words!
What surprises me most about this is how close the engine sound modders made for Grand Prix Legends in 2004 is.
I cannot find any other video or media with the onboard sound of this engine on the internet, but they must have!
It's weird how familiar I find this cockpit, having never actually seen it before - those modders did a great job there too!
(I do with this was in binaural stereo though)
I thought exactly the same thing. I'd love to see an Eagle-Weslake in Forza Motorsport, I bet it would look like this! 25 years ago last month for GPL, we're getting old...
Edited: exactly this but at Le Mans: ua-cam.com/video/pM7HX-t5sBE/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared&t=133 Gonna have to buy Forza Motorsport now.
You have the GPL cars in Assetto Corsa, it's in a mod-pack : ua-cam.com/video/pPw2vLW8AWQ/v-deo.html
@@thelittlehooer Then you won't have great physics in Forza...
The most beautiful F1 car from the purest era of F1.
(Shhh 🤫 Admin agrees but is trying to maintain objectivity!)
My favorite track...makes me wish I were behind the wheel! Thanks for the ride in Mr. Gurney's fabulous car.
"Dan Gurney For President"
One of the greatest sounding V12s of all time. Such a beautiful and harmonic sound. It's like a perfectly tuned chord on a piano.
And it was MADE to be played on a track!
Look at that oldscool chronomatic tacho ticking up with the rpms!
I also noticed that, amazing footage.
This is my favorite F1 car of the 60's! Beautiful and nice design...
All right! Heel-and-toe when downshifting!
Maybe the most beautiful F1 car ever
RIP Dan
Any sports/racing car aficianado who is or who will be in South Florida, you owe it to yourself to tour the Revs Institute, it's just stunning. That's an overused word, but it applies here!
Thanks for the kind words! Come visit again soon!
The era correct Chronomatic tachometer shows that the upper shift points are at 8500 RPM!
Great footage, thank you for posting this great content.
We're so glad you enjoyed it! Fun fact, the Gurney-Weslake engine could produce 400hp at 10200rpm in its heyday.
Those downshifts are amazing
They would make a good ringtone...
It’s nice to finally watch/hear a video of this car going racing speeds by itself with no other cars or music interfering. Thank you Revs Institute for caring for this car and letting it out to drive occasionally.
@@Headshot51423 Thank you! It’s all part of keeping “active matter” like cars alive for future generations!
Thank you Revs Institute for this and ALL the great things you do. I had the distinct honor of visiting their beautiful facility in Florida a few years ago, specifically to see their Cunningham collection, which I believe is the best in the world.
Thank you for the glowing review! We hope you’ll have the chance to visit again!
Wish you had shown the car before the track runs.
The sound of these amazing cars. The driver actually having to “drive” the car. This is real racing. Not the current paddle shifting, ground effect cars that must feel like a video game but feeling the “G’s”. Actually having to heel and toe to downshift and rev the engine. The lost racing skill! Watch “Grand Prix”!
That intake sound is intoxicating 🤓
Agreed!
I'm speechless, thank you Revs Institute!!
It's our privilege and our pleasure. We're so glad you enjoyed it!
Absolute stunning! He never gets past 3rd gear did i got it right? I can imagine the raw power on his chest going uphill by the finish line!
which camera is this? Where is it mounted?
Helmet-mounted GoPro!
Barely over 200 likes....you guys are joking. Mockery

For a split second I thought the thumbnail was Gran Turismo 7 in vr
Incredible, right? But it's the real thing. revsinstitute.org/the-collection/1967-all-american-racers-gurney-eagle-f-1-race-car/

Most beautiful Formula One car ever designed. God Bless Dan Gurney.
