- Ride on board with driver Gunnar Jeannette as he takes the 1965 Ferrari 250 LM wheel-to-wheel with a tenacious Lotus Elan 26R (driven beautifully by Horatio Fitz-Simon). The battle went down to the final turn! Many thanks to the professionals in our workshop for preparing the Ferrari for a battle.

Great racing with you guys!
Thanks, you too!
A big thanks to the Revs Institute and the unnamed Ferrari owner for racing the 275LM rather than garden partying it.
Here's the task for to other Ferrari race car owners: race your race car or pass it on if you do not have the wherewithal to do so.
Messrs Jeannette and Fitz-Simon (FL) have provided great material here. Thank you for the spectacle.
Although I am not from that era, being much younger. I feel that modern racing, although equally challenging with its high grip high downforce technology has lost the excitement that was had. An era were two sides of the spectrum could competitively race for a win and were a driver could make a difference! Loved every second of this. Thank you for sharing 🙏
Fantastic! Great driving by all - pushing to the limit but always respectful and never reckless. I'd love to see this battle from the Lotus' perspective.
Now thats some racing !!
Go Horatio! Well done, buddy. @horatioracing
Just goes to show that it ain't all about cubic inches. The Lotus elan 26R is a formidable track car, it was feared by the big race car competitors back in the day, just as it is today in historic racing... fabulous to watch, thanks for posting. But people should also watch the race footage from the Lotus elan driver perspective, which is also pretty exciting.
Very skillful and extremely entertaining racing 👏, Well done. A huge thank you to the drivers @TheRevsinstitute Gunnar Jeannette @horatioracing and the owners!
Interesting fact: Jochen Rindt won Le Mans 1965 in a Ferrari 250LM (teammate Masten Gregory) and won his last race in a Lotus in 1970. As a reward Colin Chapman handed over a Lotus Elan to Jochen Rindt for private use at the Hockenheim Ring.
Thanks for the fun fact!
Dream machines!! Love the 250LM
Quelle bataille !!!
I've seen Horatio's video of this race and it's awesome to get the other perspective. It was also a lot of fun to watch the Lotus jink around at and over the limit of traction.
Colin Chapman has a half smile. His lightweight Lotus held its own but came up short of the top spot on the podium. Really good racing but the camera work and editing are phenomenal! Thanks for the full smile on my face.
Thanks, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
Wonderful!
Amazing driving. The full on 4 cylinder, light weight, hard braking Lotus sure made a great showing against the mid engine 12 cylinder Ferrari.
Well said!
I agree with another comment that this is definitely not a cars and coffee event! Hearing the Ferrari nearing redline and seeing him speed shift, is not someone who gets their enjoyment from pampering this Stallion!
Wonderful to watch, thank you for posting

Great racing and camera work!
Thank you! 👍
