There´s somebody in every art, who is the best (most skill, soul, feeling, credibilty etc.) If we talk about guitarplaying, we definetly talk only about Tommy Emmanuel.
My guitar just stared at me and we both sat in silence just marveled at the skill and technique of Tommy Emmanuel , it’s safe to say my guitar will leave me at the end of this video 🤧
This song is essentially Emmanuel. It has everything in it I love about this guy: the virtuosity, the feeling, the incredible ENERGY he puts into his playing... Just fantastic!
As a guitar player myself I've perfected 'The Hunt' and I'd like to share my method with you ........ 1) Pick up guitar 2) Press 'play' on this video 3) Watch Tommy for a few seconds 4) Put down guitar, turn up the volume on video, watch and marvel 5) Give up any hope Hope this helps!
Marvelous , I love this concert so much, it´s one of the most incredible performances ever in history. What always amazes me is that crescendo that he does on 2:53. That´s is even harder to do that to play at this tempo. Dynamics make the difference.
AGREED!!! I'll ,still to this day, rave about how Tommy Emmanuel's show was the BEST show I've ever been to, and his playing has changed my musical life forever.
it seems like everyday I'm saying "I will not be able to die peacefully until I can play that song" .... I now know why God put me on this earth .... to watch this video and give up guitar forever lol
Yeah, it's a shame more people haven't heard of Tommy. All those guitar players are really good, but people seem to make them more than what they are. Tommy, on the other hand, is just the best. There is no greatest guitarist, but nobody's better than Tommy Emmanuel
Same here. I saw him last year and it was incredible. I'm going to see him again this October and can't wait. He is truly one of my musical inspirations and one of the main reasons I play finger style guitar. He just has that effect on people!
tommy was in Lithuania 4 months ago.... he beat metallica xD jesus, he's just amazing ad a really warm person, got the chance to meet him :) Rock'n'roll tommy!
yess!!! he played this song in his live performance :D unfortunately, the entire evening, whenever he started playing loud, the sound was so ******* up that we could barely hear anything... i seemed to be the only onewith this problem tho, because tommy seemed like he heard no problems :/
@aslanarkungpapoker Yeah -- and I hope he stays for a long while. Tommy 's playing is inspirational -- kind of like seeing what's possible on the guitar. When is he going to get with Bireli? There's a great video of Tommy with Frank Vignola . .
@newnoggin2 Apples n oranges... Mr.Emmanuel is brilliant and one of my favorites, but folks like Hendrix were playing and braking ground on electric guitar 45 years ago. As a decent guitarist myself they are 2 totally different animals. Tommy does rock tho... wow!
Hendrix was a great musician but not a great guitar player. I can play his stuff, but not Tommy's. There are many that can play Hendrix. It is not apples and oranges. It is a huge gap in ability. There is no argument about their skills. Tommy could play his but not vice versa, Not even close.
@InFernO954, don't give up, that would make Tommy sad. Just smile, and have that much fun, no matter how bad you think you sound. (I sound worse than you two added together).
well there's always kotaro oshio and sungha jung. xD i knew sungha jung but wasn't interested in the guitar itself back then, but later i learned 'twilight' by kotaro oshio and boom, a whole new world. xD
Well Clapton, Hendrix and Emmanuel are essentially all blues guitarists. And if theres 1 style of music where competition and comparison have no place its the blues.
@SuperDanteng His "left' hand...think how strong it must be to play all of those chords. Does this guy play with very light action? What gage strings does he use?
@newnoggin2 Because they are? Just because they're not super virtuoso talents by todays standards doesn't mean they weren't incredibly innovative, skilled, and deserving of the respect they got.
There´s somebody in every art, who is the best (most skill, soul, feeling, credibilty etc.)
If we talk about guitarplaying, we definetly talk only about Tommy Emmanuel.
God created the guitar so this man could play it. I play also but in a hundred lifetimes I couldn't get close to his ability and passion. Wow
My guitar just stared at me and we both sat in silence just marveled at the skill and technique of Tommy Emmanuel , it’s safe to say my guitar will leave me at the end of this video 🤧

The best acoustic guitar player ever
I don't care who greater, great, greatest...or whatever. i just love this, and love Tommy's playing.
L'un des deux hommes grâce auxquels je joue de la guitare depuis 3 ans... MERCI!!!!
Not only is he an amazing guitar player, he is also a fantastic showman. Love it!
I love how he plays with such formidable speed, and yet he doesn't make any wasteful move.
pretty much the only way to do it actually
Marvelous , I love this concert so much, it´s one of the most incredible performances ever in history. What always amazes me is that crescendo that he does on 2:53. That´s is even harder to do that to play at this tempo. Dynamics make the difference.
new fav tune of him? yess!!
AGREED!!! I'll ,still to this day, rave about how Tommy Emmanuel's show was the BEST show I've ever been to, and his playing has changed my musical life forever.
just love his foot tapping. If his socks were white the foot would steal the show
すごい という言葉しかでてこない!!
Srv electric guitar and tommy acustic, the best of the best
Absolutely wonderful! He has such fun, and it's completely contagious!
it seems like everyday I'm saying "I will not be able to die peacefully until I can play that song" .... I now know why God put me on this earth .... to watch this video and give up guitar forever lol
I see it, i hear it, but i cant believe it - impossible playing. no words for that ...
Furious crackling energy. BRAVO Mr. Emmanuel!
Yeah, it's a shame more people haven't heard of Tommy. All those guitar players are really good, but people seem to make them more than what they are. Tommy, on the other hand, is just the best. There is no greatest guitarist, but nobody's better than Tommy Emmanuel
this is the best video of the hunt.. 5 stars
This is not human.
This is extra terrestrial.
So there is life from Mars at last ;-)....
Same here. I saw him last year and it was incredible. I'm going to see him again this October and can't wait. He is truly one of my musical inspirations and one of the main reasons I play finger style guitar. He just has that effect on people!

Absolutely amazing!!!
Still best play in 2023.
Truly amazing
Just so amazing.
Oh to play...To take the audience on that ride. "The Hunt".
yess!!! he played this song in his live performance :D unfortunately, the entire evening, whenever he started playing loud, the sound was so ******* up that we could barely hear anything... i seemed to be the only onewith this problem tho, because tommy seemed like he heard no problems :/

@RANussbaum he wasn't actually hiding...he's known worldwide since the late 70's
руки растут от куда надо
This man could do some serious damage with his left-hand thumb.
We watch like this 0_0

Great hair though
@aslanarkungpapoker Yeah -- and I hope he stays for a long while.

Sungha definitely. I've never heard of Kotaro but I guess it's just another person I need to check out. I'm sure I would enjoy his music.
I wish my dad played like that, would be fucking fun to jam!
I can't really believe that this video has people who disliked it.........I mean, come on guys SERIOUSLY??🙄🙄🙄
me, trying to learn this song would take me the number of views this vid has
Somebody should put this track in the new final fantasy titles!!! Boss fight recommended
@viorcustom Amen to that!!
@MrHahn94 went to a concert 10 years ago, in marseille, france, where tommy did 1st part for satriani.. you gotta have the guts to play after him^^
thats what she said
@InFernO954, don't give up, that would make Tommy sad. Just smile, and have that much fun, no matter how bad you think you sound. (I sound worse than you two added together).
this song is pretty fast paced, not many could prob maintain the correct rhytem... same with "tall fiddler". he plays that even faster!
@GoingAFK It´s because I know and I´ve seen a lot of musicians, especially guitarplayers.
well there's always kotaro oshio and sungha jung. xD i knew sungha jung but wasn't interested in the guitar itself back then, but later i learned 'twilight' by kotaro oshio and boom, a whole new world. xD
awesome player i had never seen before like this awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee GUITAR GOD IS HERE....
@cbass5511 And then again, his music lives on forever, so will anyone ever? :)
쩌네 ㄷㄷ
@newnoggin2 they are great players. Tommy is just greater.
@newnoggin2 So true.
Well Clapton, Hendrix and Emmanuel are essentially all blues guitarists. And if theres 1 style of music where competition and comparison have no place its the blues.
So. Fucking. Good.
@SuperDanteng His "left' hand...think how strong it must be to play all of those chords. Does this guy play with very light action? What gage strings does he use?
@newnoggin2 apples and oranges, my friend. Also, can Emmanuel play in a band?
One day God got a little bored and said, "I thnk I'll go down to earth for a while and be a guitar player"
@1989Markj Ha ha -- Good One
@JimmyDeLocke and asked, "Tommy could you teach me how to play?" :)
the same is bad. Sungha like and understand Tommy's music, and I think he can like this
@Jerkoffkid It was a metaphor -- I wasn't referring to any particular anthropomorphic diety.
@123si4 hahah well in minute 0:34 he plays a extra note
Ridiculous!! He manages to play it with expression, EVEN AT THAT TEMPO!!
@newnoggin2 well, because they are.
@elkupong very funny
Many have, but several of them are incorrect.
@newnoggin2 Because they are? Just because they're not super virtuoso talents by todays standards doesn't mean they weren't incredibly innovative, skilled, and deserving of the respect they got.
what's BPM???
@JimmyDeLocke and he liked it so much that he decided to stay :)
@saturnx1666 that joke is not old :)
Uh, someone remind me why people call Clapton, Hendrix, Etc. great players. I can't remember.
