Just listened to some of Aphorodites Child's 666 and can see why it reminds you of Tommy. It's definitely in the same vein and I really like what I heard!
nice overview of your vertigo's.. i too have the same bug but seek out the uk versions but end up buying most versions I come across. I love that Aphrodites Child LP.. there is new box set that came out cover that album.
hi Mike, its refreshing to hear that you go for non UK swirl pressings if UK not available or too expensive. i do the same, for me the most important thing is to own the record on the swirl, whether its a UK, German, Italian etc i don't really care but i am detecting a kind of snobbery out there by some collectors, who kind of discriminate against foreign swirls and as a result, UK original pressings have become way too expensive. i got 70 swirls, some twice but lacking the rare heavyweights yet...my rarest is Uriah Heep's Look at Yourself only released in Venezuela on the swirl label. very cool.
Yeah I feel the same. It's pretty tough to find the swirls outside of the UK so any other country with that label works for me. The snobbery is definitely a thing I've encountered as well. Thanks for watching!
Well done Mike ... not from the Swirl era ... but ... ironically from about 1983 to 1990-ish KISS records in the UK were pressed by Vertigo ... and both Smashes, Thrashes, & Hits (1988) & Hot in the Shade (1989) had Vertigo Green UFO pressings in Germany, Greece, Netherlands, & Brazil.
Hey Mike. Interesting view. Were you fortunate enough to find your British 1st pressings here at home or did you have them imported? If you found some / all here at home, a side video would be how those old records found their way across the pond.
I found some here and some I bought online. I'm not sure how they got here, but I do see UK and German Pressings from time to time. They're expensive, though. That May Blitz is a $400 record! They're so obscure and were printed in lower quantities so I can't believe any show up at all over here.
Great show. I need to show my vertigo records on my show. Thanks again. Art

I have a double Kraftwerk album on the Vertigo label. It is a great listen.
You sure know your stuff Mike, I was wondering why I never see the old vertigo labels around much. All my Sabbath records are on WB. Great show.
Thanks very much and thanks for watching!
Great stuff. I`m on the lookout for Vertigo records all the time with very little luck.
Yeah it's so difficult to find!

Oh cool! I didn't know that. Thanks for the comment and watching. Have check with Tim if he has any swirl stuff kicking around.
