We're also "Digital Nomads" and agree that it's an amazing option if you have a job from the West. It lets you save SO much while also experiencing different places and cultures - which is cool. We have previously utilized the FEIE (not currently qualifying though). That alone covered the cost of our travel... and then some. Exactly like you said, it's like getting paid to travel without any additional work....But it's definitely a privilege to even have the option/ability to work remotely and/or make a Western income.
I've enjoyed your videos for years, thanks for covering this topic! If it's a viable option for you, it's really a great way to live.
I'd be interested to see your recommendations for people who want to live this way, but maybe come from countries fewer options when it comes to remote work and relatively high incomes.
I've head similar thoughts but wanted to express them in a much ruder way. Your comment is way better)
100%
In regards to countries having little opportunity. we all live in the digital world. As long as someone taps into this, they will be able to find opportunity regardless of which country they are from (only exception are countries where the gov has shut off access to parts of the internet).
I have a good friend who is from Pakistan that learned to work with western clients online. So now he earns USD and is able to travel and live lavish. No college degree as well.
@@ImprovementPill That's true, opportunities are definitely out there and more abundant than they have ever been! I think it would be interesting to hear and learn about stories like your friend from Pakistan. I think the routes people can take are less clear if they're from foreign countries, perhaps they aren't starting out with the same privileges and may have barriers to things Westerners often have easy access to like education/time/language/computer skills/etc.
Not meaning any pushback against your video, it is great! I just think it would be an interesting topic in the future and a great addition to your self-improvement videos.
Anyways, thanks again for sharing! :D
Sounds better than wasting 4-6 years of my life studying a “course” that won’t help me in any way
This ain't how things work. Not everybody succeeds in the digital
@@judehaalandham that’s true tho, but this also applies to school too… unfortunately
every business in the world needs digital or they fail.
@@ImprovementPill I wish it was more available for a lot more people, nonetheless, it looks really interesting
Just try to give back and respect the culture you're living in. An excess of digital nomads can really hurt local livelihoods by pushing prices up and trying to accommodate foreigners. Gentrification can push locals away from their homes and replicate the problem that is going on in the US while you take advantage of the lower living costs and having a much higher income than locals.
most countries want more tourism because foreigners spend many multiples more than locals. it may make rent more pricey in certain locations but the reward outweighs the costs overall.
having more tourism also brings more foreign investment into your country. which is another net positive.
Didn’t know that you’ve been living in Vietnam man. Welcome ❤.
Yay he's back
Ok but here’s my question, if you live overseas, isn’t the language barrier gonna make it impossible to talk to people?
google translate. and also a good idea to learn some basics before you go
I think for english speakers is quite easier because almost everyone has at least a basic knowledge of english so even If you don't speak the local language you can get by with english.
00:34 But in Vietnam the average salary is also a lot lower, so you should keep that kind of things in mind too.
True but at that point you just make a business in the states that can be managed online, find an online profession that pays American wages or have something along those lines, for example improvement pill probably gets a decent income from sponsors and add revenue from UA-cam
The point is living abroad with a western salary, this is why it's called a digital nomad lifestyle and not just moving out, getting hired in the new country. It requires a job which doesn't depend on your physical location (online and/or freelancing, usually) or some sort of passive income which allows you to live wherever you want
Yes it's worth becoming a Digimon
DigiNom* 😂
Come to Argentina, we have Venezuela prices but it looks like New York with a lot of good businesses and people breaking their backs to survive every month.
Are you staying in SaiGon by any chance? I am a local there
Which software do you use to make video
Hey Improvement Pill, i also want to start a youtube channel, but what to create is big hurdle,... Help!
I think building Passive income soucre while studying is good after studies, and may financially secure furture
Pls new improvement books tierlist
Yes its beneficial for western peeps..not for others
its beneficial to anyone with access to an internet connection. I have a close friend from Pakistan who makes more money than I do, and he only started a few years ago.
Wow $5k for half a gym 🤯
I'm down to invest if you open any more 😂
Wow
That link is corrupted
you've haven't came to iran bro
Using Western money in Eastern countries is a great digital strategy too.
I've been hiring a lot of remote workers from The Philippines, Pakistan, Egypt, Romania, etc. and their cost of living is low so they ask for a lower pay rate.
Super helpful for when you're just starting out in business and don't have enough money for professional rates or if you just wanna save money and increase profit margins.
Try to avoid countrys like pakistan and Egypt as they are politically un stable
you mean like traveling there?@@prashantshukla7520
This video could have ended at Rule #1 😅. That's more than enough reason.
vietnam is not dangerous? i know where in that country matter, so, where you live? i visit indonesia and i want to visit albania too, so im intrested... i am considering to start as digital nomad since 2020 and after indonesia i am considering very seriously... italy it is not my country, i am not happy and it is soooo expensive, with very low salary. i was thinking about vietnam but since i consider it very dangerous was not in my plan, if you can make more videos about this, it can be so much appreciated, vlogs too 😁
its very safe compared to the USA and parts of Europe.
the majority of crime is petty stuff like pickpocketing.
very rarely will you hear about violent crime
@@ImprovementPill thats very new to me, can you maybe in the future make a video explaining how work, how it is, quality of life, ecc.. of vietnam?
i think you are pretty much screwed if you already belong to a country like vietnam
Why?😂
What is the meaning of Nomad???
it's someone who moves around
@@ImprovementPill ok..got it
Well... Things are getting worse EVERYWHERE.
Just for me to understand, a digital nomad is a person who is from the us and lives away from it, right?
Yes
not necessarily from the US, and also not any life abroad, just one that's run by some sort of online job or business.
It's someone from any country who spends time living in one or more countries other than their home country and are able to do so because they work a remote job
Thanks guys so much 🙏
you can be from any country. you're a digital nomad when you take advantage of the fact that you can move around the world and live where you're treated best.
This is unrelated
But Could someone give an advise I can't talk to others because it feels awkward and I feel we have noting to talk about also I can't have a direct eye contact because of my eye condition which my eye glides away
Also Im the type of person only in the corner I want to fix my self😢
Basically westerns migrating to east
sir big fan pin this
Bros taking all advantage of a western foreigner 😂
Chillin in Dominican Republic next to the beach for $220/ Rent. #Nomad Lifestyle 😎🤙
I didn't expected a video like this!!!!!, it's more for a men to be a digital nomad... Like really, the dating apps 🤨 this kind of recommendation promote a sexual tourism... So bad!!
