@@dektrimusic It helps with transcribing drums. I first run the drum track through SpectraLayers7 and Isolate "Transients" from "Tonal" and "Noise". Tonal 99% of the time equates the Kick track, so using a drum replacer to detect trigger on that track and exploiting the result in MIDI in conjunction with LPX Smart Tempo feature I get a transcription of the kick track in MIDI that is bar/beat/subdivision precise. Pristine accuracy rythmic wise. I then do the same thing on the "Transient" export from SL7 and I'm left with every drum hit transcribed on a single MIDI note. After all this machine work I'm ready to transcribe, figure out what the drummer plays and transcribing by inputting directly on LPX with the help the MIDI notes drawn thanks to transient detection. From then on I Import the MIDI in Sibelius and Edit the chart there. You can even export the MIDI kick track into After Effects and do some whacky animations with the MIDI information, like having the kick trigger a light and automate its intensity about which the kick's velocity. It'll look synchronized and humanized, and all of this is quick to do thanks to transient detection -> MIDI.
@@colinmignot6309 Hey Colin, thank you very much for your answer... Just download Trigger 2 Free to test... I'll also give SpectraLayers a try... I don't have the mics to register the drums separately, so all I have is one single waveform, and I confess that right now I'm struggling to isolate the snare ... the bass drum was a piece of cake just using Ableton EQ, but the snare is still a challenge.... again, thank you very much for your very informative answer, it helped me a lot 🙏🙏🙏 Have a nice day, mate...
@@dektrimusic Yes I can't isolate the snare either, I've tried different plug ins that use AI to further separate my Transient track but to no avail, there's always a mixture of cymbals in there.
So I just used this pluggin today for the first time and I like it, the only thing I don’t get is why there is only snare, kicks and toms or is there a way to add cymbals or hi hat if I want and if so how to do so is there an additional download that you have to purchase ?
Cymbals and hi hats are very hard to trigger since they have no transient, that's why they aren't included. If you want to add your own cymbal or hi hat samples, just add them to the Trigger Library folder. Then you'll be able to access them in Trigger.
@@dannyveras You can add wav samples. If you want to add multiple samples with different velocities, you can use the Trigger Instrument Editor to get more natural sounding drums
@@dannyverasYou also generally don't want to replace cymbals with samples, because unlike with shells, really cymbals almost always sound better than samples.
Very soon! We're working on an update that will be released asap! If you absolutely have to use Big Sur, we recommend using Logic 10.5 for the time being
Trigger 2 wouldn't be the best option for this because it works with acoustic kits, not electronic kits. You should check out SSD, that would work perfectly with your kit ua-cam.com/video/PfVey83vV7c/v-deo.html

We have a video showing how to quickly create your own TCI files to use in Trigger, which is linked below. Our support team can help you with any Trigger feature and can help you get set up with this ASAP.
@@StevenSlateAudio Thanks for the follow up. I own Trigger 2 and have added my own sounds to it. Ideally you’d just click any sample in your library and instantly hear it in the song. Just demoed the new UVI Drum Replacer and it can do that.
The CLA Hybrid snare preset is great for church rock live streaming through your favorite DAW.
So with the ghost note part... I'm guessing these samples are round robin?
Yes, up to 6 round robbin and 10 velocities and 10 articulations.
Useful for transcribing as well, will buy
Hey Colin, what’s up? One year late, but I’m curious, how that can help in transcription?

I wonder if I can add or remove a hit manually
YOu can add/remove hits on the audio track that feed the Trigger.
Can you use samples from your own library?
I want to know this too. Did you ever find out the answer?
@@FurySracing Couple of years late, but yes. You can add any of your samples to the Trigger library.
@@alchemistrpm82Woah, That really makes this a great tool.
What is a good interface for a 4 pc kit?
Hi, what is the plugin latency on the channel? Im interested in using this for live performance.
Around 1115 samples. Put a sample delay on all inputs to match to your trigger channels.
@@danielfmyers Now all Im wondering is how noticeable that will be for a live drummer... Im guessing that's around +-20ms at 48Khz?
Christiaan Bezuidenhout I was thinking live-streams which is what I use it for. There is also a low latency live setting but I haven’t looked at it.
@@christiaanbezuidenhout6984 Trigger has "Live" mode which brings the latency down to 176 Samples so it will work for live sound.

Anything pretty much.
Is there a way to generate midi?
Yeah, you can generate MIDI and also trigger from it.
WOW

please cupon for trigger 2 please!!!!
Low volume cymbal replacement? No ? Ok
Cymbals don't really have the transients necessary to reliably work with triggers.
Disappointed at how inconvenient it is to load your own samples. All Included samples are acoustic rock kits.
