Yeah but there's a bit of a continuity error :/ In the trailer, he's sitting down, but in the game, he's strapped to a full table, like Joker was in the beginning of AA.

What’s so awesome about this is it’s continuity being honored in the game. Just today, I solved a riddle which revealed an Arkham city story in the menu about Hugo Strange and TYGER operatives and their involvement in all this. Strange initially sent groups of them to track and find Batman then “take him down.” Only Strange knew they were never going to achieve that and were there for him to study every one of Batman’s tactics so that one day, he could come with an analysis on how to beat him. It’s what the soldier in this trailer calls him out on. Also probably the same dude who’s deceased in the area where Strange attempts to keep you locked in.
Wanna talk continuity? How about that secret room in arkham asylum where you find the blueprints of arkham city? That was AWESOME!!!

Did you know that back in the original Batman animated series, Hugo Strange learned that Bruce Wayne was Batman via mind reading device. Bruce Wayne was investigating Strange's machine undercover and accidentally revealed his secret, but Bruce turned it around on Strange and made him look like a fool to Harvey Dent, Penguin, and The Joker. He later reclaimed his secret identity by having Robin disguised as Bruce Wayne come over, and talk with Batman and Strange.
Really? Wouldn't it have been even slightly more convincing if Robin pretended to be Batman?

Man, I remember being FLOORED when this trailer first came out, it was the first time I had seen such lifelike animation-- The first few moments, everyone thought it was filmed. And it still looks freaking amazing! There are a couple of tells and lighting issues I see now that I'm more familiar, but damn is this ever impressive.
What issues?
Paul Dini did an amazing job with writing Hugo Strange in this game. I hope he becomes more of a serious threat in the comics in the same way Mr Freeze did after his revamp in the early 90's.
The reveal at the end kidna ruined it for me. Strange is the kind of character that looses all his menace once you write him just as somebody's else's glorified henchman.
Except for the fact that Hugo doesn't even do anything in the game, his entire plan is a glorified "wipe-out-crime" scheme, and he turns out to be someone else's flunky and killed off, instead of a mastermind in his own right.
Combined with "The Strange Secret Of Bruce Wayne" episode in B:TAS, Paul Dini has pretty much proven that he can't write Hugo Strange for shit. Strange is supposed to be a brilliant mastermind on par with Ra's Al Ghul, not his glorified henchmen. Anything else is writing him wrong.
And to think, he had such a cool trailer...sigh. Seriously, screw you Rocksteady. And you too, Dini.

Dr. Strange has already been a serious threat for decades yet he's still underrated. In Strange Apparitions, he deciphered Batman's identity and then destroyed Bruce's love life and caused Wayne Industries to go bankrupt, which he did again in the future. He also turned the public against Batman in Prey and invented Fear Toxin before Scarecrow did in Strange's 2nd or 3rd comic appearance.

He took down more than 6 special highly trained and armed men without breaking a sweat. Yet the suicide. Sqaud does him in?? Which is funny because in the game he bodies the. All yet doesnt kill any of them remember he is brainwashed and killing security gaurds that pose no treat. Thank you rocksteady and sweetbaby for that wonderful writing😂😂😂😂
On the 18th of October 2019, Batman Arkham City is turning 8 years old and it still holds up to be one of the best games in history. That shows something incredible

When you play it, keep an eye out for the guard that Strange was questioning. Finding his dead body is one of the Riddler's riddles you have to find. Rocksteady games did an amazing job with this game and there are so many things hidden in it that fans will recognize... Also, you might want to pick up the Arkham City comic. It's a story that takes place between the two games and adds to the overall story.
Sometimes I wish it was raining in game like in this trailer than snowing... I mean the snow is nice but the rain effects look really good.

Louis Which is always a good question when it comes to a lot of games, why is the trailer always better? If you look at the actual gameplay trailer for Arkham City, it looked like a game you wouldn't want to play.

Back in the day cg trailers and cutscenes were on a different level compared to the actual game but now cg trailers usually look worse lol

Malcolm Boyd im not sure what the hell people were expecting, from what i read the dark tone of the movie wasn't appreciated but thats what batman comics are,its dark imagery, violent plots with lots of emotion.
when they showed the robin uniform you automatically knew the joker beat him to death.
i believe since deadpool did so well many people were looking for a more comedic flick.
im hopping they keep the dark tone but from what i hear aquaman and wonder woman will be a more lighter flick
