Me too... a couple of times every week I'd help my granddad - eighty at the time - study the form books and take his bet down to the bookies. I didn't have the cash to bet (had to sack my bassist in 86 due to his gambling addiction, literally running off with the gig takings once), but I'd had my eye on Terimon all week and made sure I had a couple of quid to put on. That was a grand day.
Looks like the horse never handled the course here but once it got in the straight it was a different matter. Looking back - a massive mistake not to send this horse to the St. Leger and indeed to retire it so soon.
Andrew Williams: The Guineas was a true run affair, played to Nashwans natural attributes like his impressive stride, unlike the King George which was clearly ran against him.
El gran senor patently didn't stay a mile and half but only beaten a short head. Great champions like nashwan can do it. Frankel could probably have won a July cup or a Derby!
Willie Carson on a horse a special talent poetry in motion Nashwan a beautiful thoroughbred
Nashwan, a horse people probably never saw the best of, looked like he was going to do well as a sire until Sadly fate played it's sinister hand.
! EXCELLENT CAREER!

! GREETINGS FROM MÉXICO 🇲🇽!
Fact until 1995 the Derby was run on a Wednesday
I had £1.00 e\w on Terimon; who won a race on heavy ground in the week before! 😁

Nash The Dash .
How in earth did this horse win a guineas? Looked to hit a few flat spots here, and then simply out-stayed them. A proper racehorse.
