Zach, thanks for this channel. You're really filling a niche there; the niche of bass-pedal reviews with the right kind of information, direct recording sound, not too much talking (just the important bits), proper playing in a kind of loaboratory setting... that is VERY rare on UA-cam. Love it and find it tremendously insightful.
The Franta' is definitely my second favorite bitcrusher, after the Meris Ottobit Jr. It might be the coolest thing IE makes, and IE makes some cool stuff.
Obviously this video has a massive desynchronization issue, not sure why - and it's a shame cause it's a fantastic demo, but I am forced to dismiss the visuals. Absolutely phenomenal sounds!
exceptional good demo - thanks a lot! could you please make a video about the frantabit - there is none out there that comes to the core.... cheers, keziahj
@@ZacharyRizer Thank you!!! Topic switch: do you think Spencer will ever make another Wonderlove or Chromatron again? Does 3Leaf ever revisit legacy pedals? Going to try to snag a Proton from the next batch, but wish I could get my hands on one of those.
@@ZacharyRizer Noooo! We must use our Jedi powers to make him do it! 🤣 Last question: analog filters with a down sweep, like the Seamoon or the Emma: any interest in doing a demo of those?
Where in this chain - Boss OC-2, Source Audio Aftershock, Fairfield Circuitry Accountant, Strymon Mobius, and Eventide H9 (if this is the correct order) - do you put die XG DLX? If you would use the XG with reverb and / or Delay, where would you put it?
Hey Zachary, I love this demo, & I've had an IE X/D now for about a year. I have no trouble with the 4-pole w/fuzz in front getting similar tones. But I can't seem to coax any love out of it for straight clean funkiness, especially in 2-pole, but also very undynamic in 4-pole? I also use a Dingwall (have 3x, Z1 & Voodoo), set flat, or even boosted. I've tried similar settings to what you're using as well as bringing the sensitivity down, etc. What am I missing or doing wrong? You're getting fantastic sounds with a very similar setup.
Ok, I'll try that again. Last night I was working with my VFE bumblebee in front of it, which has an optical compressor. I've also tried to clean boost with GEQ. Hope springs eternal. I'm getting cool weird stuff out of it with a Frazz-Dazzler in front, and I also use a IE Divaricator with it live.
Hello. Between the xerograph deluxe and ehx qtron( 90s big box version) which one do you recommend and why? Can get the qtron for 1/3 of the price of the xerograph deluxe( latest version ) but if the differences are huge i don't mind playing more. I own frantabit which i love. Thank you once again, your videos are very helpful. Edit. Did you place the, chorus, flanger, tremolo, pad before the xerograph? Thank you again
I've never played a big box qtron, so I can't directly say. Buy the Xero is a very different style filter from the qtron. It is very synthy, 4 pole, and very clean. Less quacky and funky than the qtron. I believe I had the pad before, but I dont remember. Honestly either placement would be cool in this situation.
Unfortunately I don't know of any cheaper alternatives. You could look at the source studio spectrum which is another great digital filter, but not quite the same pedal.
this would be the perfect pedal for somekind of acoustique Drm&Bass...!! lol actually this musical gender doesnt really exist..unless I ignore the reference

Amazing video ! As always. By the way, your table looks like Jupiter. I can't unsee it ahah
Every time I think I have enough pedals you put out another demo and I question myself all over again.
Iron Ether needs more love and good demos like this. I love the Frantabit.

Yea its driving me crazy.
Iron Ether is one of my favorite manufacturers.
Another excellent demo, Zach!
WHY HAVE I NEVER TRIED BLENDING MY CLEAN SIGNAL WITH A FILTER?!? It seems so obvious. I subbed immediately. Great video demos.
Excellent demo. Thanks!
lmao dude i literally just bought this pedal like a week or two ago. im loving it as well.
You have all the best toys, it's insane.
So you have all the best toys, one at a time. Still cool.
please do a video on the boss ms3! it'd be great to see how a bass player like yourself would incorporate such a pedal
Been waiting for you to review this one, awesome :)
great demo, amazing bass style !!
Really great demo, especially paired with other stuff.
How have I never heard of this one?! I need one NOW! 😂 gear acquisition syndrome is so real...
make a video of this with the future impact!!

Can't find any info anywhere on the internet whether this is digital or analog. Anyone know?
It is digital

@@johnhowardnardine6815 probably not anytime soon. Took a break from the demos for now.
Would this work with guitar?

What's the best filter pedal with up/down sweep option?
I like the 3leaf Wonderlove

Interested to know if this has/would replace the manta bass? I was looking at getting that but prefer the sound of this?
Hi Zackary, do you miss the Midi control of the Manta?
Sweet video! And I have a question :) Can you tell me what is the name of your jacks in pedalboard and these used in xerograph ?
Weirdly, it's a digital pedal, but I don't care - it sounds analog and I love mine.
hello! this pedal can be used in a guitar?
I have one and use it with guitar and it is super rad. xtimehascomex has some UA-cam videos with it. (I think that’s the users name.)
thanks man:)
