I have talked about getting a couple hives started and this year in mid april in Illinois the good lord handed me a swarm in my back yard. I have caught 2 now and have traps out now this is very cool thank you for the video!
Joey, it seems like this is a big year for swarms. I didn’t set any traps this year. I have all of the bees that I need. I was at my out yard yesterday and could hear bees and got to looking and there was a swarm traveling by above the trees and it didn’t come out of my hives. I’ve had a couple of calls about swarms clustered and I just passed them on. I hope you get all you need.
I. have more that I need. lol I think I am going to pass some of them that I have caught on to other folks. Maybe just letting them pay for the equipment that they take.
I know. I have fishing line and the frame were but just too lazy to put in in the frames. lol! I have caught 12 but 2 of them have come from my yard, or boxes I should day. You know, I have not gotten the first swarm call this year. Strange.
To my understanding, "the other day" could be a couple days ago or several weeks ago to beekeepers. I picked up a similar one from my dad. "Here awhile back" could be a week or so, or it might mean a couple years or more.
I will catch swarms in the Philippines. Two or three Apis bees are suitable for apiary and running loose and feral. The Apis dosotta is not. A dozen or so stingless bees are agreeable enough to hive up.
Nice box of bees and brood!
Thank you.
Very nice and interesting video, my dear friend ! ❤❤❤
Thank you.

Nice video. Love watching a swarm transfer. I’m bad to wait to long and have a big mess of cross comb.
Very nice swarm. Enjoyed the video. Take care.
Sometimes it don't take long for them to get ahead of me. Its like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.
@@GEEZBEEZ Thank you.

You need to consider putting fishing line in those empty frames. How many swarms have you caught in traps this year?
