Cream cheese icing probably isn't the best for doing the outside of cakes as it's not usually thick enough for me. I would recommend buttercream if you decide to make another cake 💙
Just a tip. Put the icing in the fridge to 10 mins to cool it down before you place it on. It will run less. Also, add more icing sugar to the icing and it will make it a slightly thicker and stronger meaning you can get more full coverage
It's the cream cheese icing, it took me so many failed cakes before I got it right, Cream cheese can be a bitch to work with and goes liquidy so fast. (No one at me if your cream cheese icing is wonderful, I just can't get it together.) you did a wonderful job though and, unlike me, did not fall apart, cry and threaten to throw the whole thing out lol I've started making a buttercream and it works!
honestly for a first timer, pretty amazing! am late for pride month commenting about 4/5 months, but it definitely looks good. the cream is pretty goopy only because i suspect the cream cheese was in room temperature when you whipped it, had it been whipped in chilled form and spread. it would be stunning! as for the tilting it is because of the weight stacking, so generally, folks put pillars to support it, even if it were just skewers over a few layers would have provided a pleasing aesthetic. but tom's right, as the cake isn't straight, neither is he. excellent work!
The cakes looks good. You probably need more structural support (dowels and boards) to stop the lower layers getting crushed. The icing was a little thin, was the cake still warm? I wouldn't usually suggest Philadelphia for cream cheese icing; mascarpone or ricotta is normally a somewhat more traditional choice. You know what? I'm deeply impressed. The colours were spot on and I think you did an incredible job.
I luv the quote at the end that said; "At the end of the day, the cake wasn't straight, and neither am I"
- same lol :) ~.
UK BTS ARMY is that the straight flag on your picture if it is nice
:0 another uk army!!! Also yes that quote is VERY relatable xD
To be fair mate, considering you're not a professional Baker, you did a pretty spot on job imo
Ugh Tom you are the best thing about Buzzfeed 😘
this should be called "tom being a chaotic mess for 11 minutes and 57 seconds" 😂🤍

A wooden skewers through the top and cutting a flat surface would help balance the cake
Toms boyfriend in the background be like “he’s a dork, he’s my dork tho🥺❤️”
He’s actually my boyfriend
U wish, he’s mine
justanothergamer 101 That video is horrific and you shouldn’t have uploaded it you’re disgusting and clearly don’t care about LGBTQ+
The cake itself was amazing 👏 you can alwayd do a crumbcoat and chill it to then do a thicket layer of icing to smooth everyrhing out
It’s actually easier if you put all 11 colours in at once & then just cut it up 11 times
I just love how all scream with excitement at the end.
Good effort! You must have a lot of patience, don't think I could have done all that!

This is hilarious, good effort, you needed dowls, you live and learn!!
You did an amazing job and very quickly I must say 💜😍
When mixing in the icing sugar I'd suggest using a spoon to whisk into the sieve instead of shaking you make less mess.
AMAZING!!! Fab job! 👏🏼
Tip- put the frosting in the fridge (it will get thicker and easier to control)
Call me at the ramble and promised that he would never flood the Earth game so you have just killed the rainbow

Tom and Damon Dominique is a dream🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
You gotta use blocks of cream cheese for the frosting, not the containers of spreadable stuff! Inside of the cake looked bomb, though.
I've never seen cream cheese sold in blocks.
staaarshineee maybe that’s America for you?
omg why does this video only have 6,000 views and 430 likes?! Come on guys do it for Tom!!
