I bought a new laminator from Hobby Lobby and it only takes 5 min. to heat up, its a newer style so they have improved so you don't have to wait so long.
They still don't get to temperature for the foil to transfer. You can try it but the green light doesn't necessarily mean it's hot enough.
I haven't had anu problems yet, I use the deco foil and toner sheets and it works perfect for me, just saying

Not all laminators are the same, but yes let it heat up for at least 30 mins on the 5ml setting and try it.
I used to subscribe to this channel a few years ago. I have the original Heidi Swapp Minc machine but can never get a good image. I always get black spots or skipped areas. Is it possible that the toner is old? I gave up on foiling. I see my foil is your last choice.
Do you think I can use the hot foils, specifically the Spellbinders, with the new heat pen for the Cameo 5? I'm excited for that new option.

Nancy do you have a list/file of the different products with suggested setting on the machines for the toner products?
No. Each person's machines and projects are different based on foil, papers, machines, humidity...etc.
I recently bought the fuse ( was using a laminator but new to it) I purchased some TE foil its to play with and bought the shims. Should I use the shims in the fuse when using their product?
I would start without it on 3-4 and see what your results are. You can use a cardstock shim if you need it.
Is the Gina K fuse a toner machine or a laminator?if you were to purchase one which one would you purchase? Should I purchase the Gina K fuse to start with foul?
The Fuse was meant for Foiling. It is far superior to a laminator. Unfortunately, it has sold out the first round.
