- Frankfurt-am-Main Trams, U-Bahn & S-Bahn!
I return to my old home city of Frankfurt, Germany, to explore the trams, the U-Bahn (which is really a Stadtbahn system) and the Rhine-Main S-Bahn.

Nice video. I live in Frankfurt and just love this system. It’s for sure the best Stadtbahn system in Germany.
By 2025 the U5 line will be extended to the new Europaviertel. Very exciting will be the new underground station "Güterplatz", just one stop after the Hauptbahnhof.
Sadly, the train will go back up on street level after that. I would have liked it much more if the train could be in a tunnel under the complete Europa-Allee, but that would be too expensive. :/
The truth is, that Lime Street is rather small for being the only terminus in Liverpool. Wiesbaden Hbf on the other hand is fairly sized for the town it serves.
So many German cities. Nice once again.

Someday I want to go to Frankfurt and see the U-Bahn for myself. I've only ever seen it as a route in Train Simulator, and that's what sparked my interest in the system.
U8 and U9 is Missing on your Map
Sadly you missed the former train type diversity of the U-Bahn that existed around 2015. Nowadays all the trains older than U4 have been decommissioned and the U3 type is currently being sold off to Mexico.
😎
Ahhh so many bahns!!

4:40 you missed the extension of the U4 towards the U7 terminus Enkheim that has been a thing for many years. It's actually a pretty interesting route as the newest depot, the _depot east/Ost_ is being used to connect the tunnel station with the ground level. You pass by the entire facility, before going over a very tight point towards Schaefflestraße.
He also forgot to include the new Riedberg Lines U8 and U9 as well as the swapped terminuses of the U6 and U7 at the west side of the town. The U6 now ends in Hausen and the U7 ends at the Heerstraße. I live in Frankfurt so that‘s why I can confirm. Otherwise it seems to be a good video :D
Hi David, some interesting news, Boris Johnson has just mentioned the central Manchester rail bottleneck in a speech this morning as a fast track project, the Department for transport will be unavailing a URL shortly, funding will not be an issue, all good news, congratulations on your campaign.
He's allocated £10m to it, so I'm not entirely sure what the DfT are going to do with that. "Package C" has an estimated cost of several £100m.
Excelent video. I just have a question though. Is the Ubahn in Frankfurt the same thing as the tram lines? Or is it a seperate system? Is the Ubahn completely grade separated? Again Great video. Thanks.
The U-Bahn and the Strassenbahn are two separate systems, yes. The U-Bahn has some sections above ground which are basically tram lines.
U bahn are sooo speed
