I’ve finally found it. I’ve had this melody stuck in my head for almost my entire life and I’ve finally found it. My family loves Chinese movies so I’m sure I heard it when I was younger, but I haven’t been able to find it until now. I can finally settle that in my mind.
Who ever is still listening to this on 2024. You have an endless love for this lovely music. The tone and rhythm is loving, its influence to the audience, either past of modern, is endless towards the future.
There should be more cross cultural collaborations like this. I love how korean and chinese are both in this song, and it sounds natural. Kim Hee Sun is simply awesome for having learned Mandarin for her role.

I have a weird history with this song. I first heard it when my sister and some of her classmates performed a Chinese ribbon dance to an instrumental version of this song (her dance class, which was actually a class, had a unit about traditional dances, and her group got Chinese ribbon dance). A few years later, I watch the video of the performance posted on UA-cam (I can't find it now) and asked Siri what the song was. The result was called Than Thoai. I found it on Spotify and even found a duet of the song. Another few years later, I found out that Than Thoai was the Vietnamese version of this song. I have a weird history with this song. I first heard it when my sister and some of her classmates performed a Chinese ribbon dance to an instrumental version of this song (her dance class, which was actually a class, had a unit about traditional dances, and her group got Chinese ribbon dance). A few years later, I watch the video of the performance posted on UA-cam (I can't find it now) and asked Siri what the song was. The result was called Than Thoai. I found it on Spotify and even found a duet of the song. Another few years later, I found out that Than Thoai was the Vietnamese version of this song.
It's an amazing song, and even though it took me a while to find it, it was all worth it.
