I love the scene when the princess is going to be painted, but she didn't want to smile. Even a bit. So the painter couldnt finish his work. They did everything to make the princess smile, but it didnt work. She was in sorrow. Until the general came, suddenly the princess smiled. Oh my godness, she was deeply in love with the general. That's why she couldnt even smile until she met her love. By that smile, the painter could finish his painting.

Endless Love is performed by several singers but Jackie's voice is kind of right for this song. And of course, the very emotional performance of Jackie's good friend Dimash Qudaibergen, a young singer from Kazakhstan, is very beautiful too. (June 2024).

But I still remember freshly the first time I watched this movie and listened to this song. The lyrics and rhythm are so beautiful. All perfect love are incomplete. some additional historical facts about the general Meng Yi in real history:
1. His belong to a family of generals and who were instrumental in defending Qin and later conquer other states, creating the Qin Empire.
2. Accordingly, him and his family were held in the highest regard and trust by the emperor.
3. The official Zhao Gao was once sentenced to death by Meng Yi, but was spared by the emperor. Thereafter Zhao Gao sought to eliminate the entire Meng clan.
4. When the Qin emperor fell seriously ill during a trip so he sent Meng Yi away to perform prayers to extend the emperor's life span.
5. While Meng Yi was absent, Qin emperor died. But only the chancellor, Zhao Gao and the 2nd prince knew the truth.
6. The 3 men agreed to change the Emperor's last will. In the forged will, the crown prince was executed and the 2nd prince became emperor.
7. Zhao Gao soon had the chancellor, Meng Yi and many others executed as well, accusing them of treason against the new emperor. Zhao Gao became the only power in court.
8. Zhao Gao fearing the new emperor would eventually punish him, had the emperor commit suicide. The next emperor, knowing what is going on, had Zhao Gao assassinated.
9. By this point, most of the brilliant officials and generals of the Qin empire had been executed, the empire collapsed within 4 years after Meng Yi's death.
