to Caleb Shifflett : without uploading, I think I was pretty clear about how to present the material in a coherently and timely way, and yes, I have given much of my time and experience to public speaking, as well as having some filmed, especially in my more youthful days, and with good results. Also, in giving this critique, I was more interested in helping the viewer fully comprehend and understand the material presented. It was meant to be helpful, and not to be taken as personal criticism.
LEXUS GS350 F SPORT > 535i in terms of driving dynamics (since GS weighs less), better resale value, better rear leg room and reliability. 535i win in terms of looks (it's a killer!) and low end torque.
+Tech Defender exactly, he's saying this is the bench mark in the mid size luxury sedan segment, while this segment is all about comfort and space even if we put aside the fact that both the new E class and A6 have better interior quality and features, they're still more comfortable and a bit larger inside. all that aside i don't think any mid size sedan can be compared to the new E class in any aspect tbh.
+Tech Defender the outgoing one has a really high quality interior and i haven't seen a reviewer ever saying anything in this segment is more comfortable or has a higher quality interior, nonetheless it certainly is looking dated right now and behind the competition regarding features and technology, that's where the new E class come in which in my opinion is a very nice improvement in all aspects of an already great car, making it the no-brainer choice for someone searching this segment, specially with a new performance AMG variant the E43 that's less severe than the 63 model, has more than enough power and will make sense to a lot more people.
Driving Dynamics should be given the BMW obviously, so if you like cars, then the 5 series is for you. the A6 is ehh, the interior is simple and I believe it is FWD. Mercedes has a beautiful interior, and has just been upgraded.
+Brownie don't know if that's still a valid statement gonna have to wait for more detailed reviews on the new e-class to see how it drives, however the bmw handles better because it has a firmer suspension thus a less compliant and comfortable ride which are a lot more important factors in this segment, because i don't think any one is buying a 4000 pounds five series to enjoy its driving dynamics especially when we're talkin about non-performance models, the audi a6 of course is gonna be the least fun out of the bunch, it being and understeery machine, but note that when motor trend had the m5 head to head with the e63 amg s the mercedes actually drove better, it handled better, the steering was more precise and on point and had more feel to it surprisingly, maybe that doesn't apply to the average 5 series or e-class, but again this isn't what this segment is about after all.
Simon Haley Simon Haley go watch a video of 2016 audi a6 and mercedes then compare to this dinosaur. This current body design has been arround since 2011 not much has change inside and outside.

+M I C H A E L Bullshit haha Beemers lose value like most german cars. Thats why its smart to lease them. Plenty under $30K, waste of money imo. Lexus is a better option.
@@Z3sty367 Bimmers, Mercs, Audis, Volvos, Cadillacs, Lincolns, Bentlys, Maseratis and Luxury cars in general lose value rapidly. Lexus is not a better option in terms of technology, luxury or driving experience, they actually way behind. What makes Lexus stand out is "reliability" and that's not important for people that Lease expensive luxury cars because when someone gets a lease everything (mechanical problems) is cover under the lease. Therefore, reliability or resale value is not important and when the lease is over the car is returned and done. Lexus a luxurious Toyota makes sense when the car gets old and the warranty is over but the question is whats the point to have an Old luxury car? to make people believe you have money? If you have money you get new ! - or to have a reliable car with technology for less money? a "brand new" well equiped Camry 0 miles have same or more tech than a 5 year old Lexus ES. so having a Lexus is definitely not a better option, is not even an option !
No offense, but you think way too highly about ur car. So, you consider Jeremy Clarkson' opinion on an LFA and you relate this to your 5 series wannabe. OMG. Your car is better only under one aspect: it lasts longer, like any Japanese brand, but loses under any other aspects. Let me summaries: 307 hp naturally aspirated ancient technology engine is not under powered but 300 hp turbo is, ur GS is almost like an LFA, and the cherry on the top is that you think this 535 is a crap because your 198..... 728, probably bought with million miles on it and never maintained, was a crap. Just admit that every time you see an F 10 you wish you would have bought one instead of ur supped up Toyota. Cheers!🤔
This is random but I feel like the front grill on the 2011 F10 is alot bigger than the ones on later models...Larger grills look nicer in my opinion. Anyone else agree?
I listened to and watched you're video. While you seemed knowledgeable enough about the 5 series, I kept asking myself, where is the fire? You were like a race horse out of the gate. You were either nervous or felt you had to get every detail in a short span of time. While I could keep up with you because I'm familiar with product, I'm sure you lost some viewers. Slowing down a little, while condensing and planning the material more coherently, would have been more beneficial to this film. On the positive side, your enthusiasm, was self evident and well appreciated.
A6 C7 3.0T Quattro is a Superior Machine for less money. This F10 is too heavy, slow in comparison to similar equipped A6, BMW Xdrive not as good as Audi Quattro system and to conclude the F10 5 series only looks good with the MSport package spec. Audi 1 - BMW 0
Its a nice car but I dont know that I would buy one, lease one maybe. I am not sure if they will become a maintenance nightmare that the Mercedes' are but with all those features that are really not necessary that can go wrong. Nice car though, if a bit vanilla.
There is a 2016 BMW just like this one for sale near me. It’s a used one with 33,000 miles and it’s $20,000 how is it so cheap it’s only 4 years old. Should I get it?
I appreciate the feedback. If you visit quotes.everymandriver.com you can see the best deals/prices on new cars/trucks in your zip code! It’s a free search engine. Try it.
Not the sports sedan the Lexus GS is. Not the luxury sedan the new 2017 E-Class is. It's redesign is coming and it needs to lose weight and get that handling edge back. It's never be a luxury sedan like the new Mercedes interiors. Needs to get back to basics
Please I have a question.... does it mean anybody can just open your trunk? Because you said there are 3 ways and then you put your hand and opened the trunk... so that means anybody can open your trunk with their hand?
The Audi A6 is the benchmark, check reviews all over the net plus IIHS safety ratings. BMW takes a hit due to front drivers side safety. The interior of the A6 is superior to this.
It's something about these 5 series that I really like and I still want one regardless of them being a little older
love mine, i drive a lot an it's super comfey
Is this same car priced at 10k for 116k mileage worth the price or no I’m thinking to buy one they look awesome

There's already a 2014 BMW 535i with 300k miles.
Owner coming from a 2016 BMW M3 with 213k miles and an X7 40i with 100k miles.
a handle for opening and closing...fancy
550i isn't that much more than a 535i. Worth a little bit extra to get a V8 turbo
might be close to 20.000 more , that's not little.
That engine platform is highly unreliable I wouldnt touch a 550i with a 10 foot pole
@@joshuat3902 not the N63TU engine
Thanks Dave, but i did not see cup holder in front, thanks again 🌹
you see them at 5:51 in the video

How does this compare to the current E class and A6? Features and interior quality?

So what's odd is you get as excited about Kia, Hyundai, base Jeep. Hmmm.
I'm an energetic guy in general.
That’s nice how much it cost used now
Just bought one with 60k for 20gs

BMW is 5+ years old in design. Knock, Knock...its not a timeless design.
And you still can't afford one. lol

As much as it costs and for the class it competes in, it better lol. I'd say it does.
It does if you pay for the option, just like for any other luxury car in this class.

Damn, Dave you've been losing alot of muscle mass or what? Arms arms are thinner. Legs are still chunky thick.

Great job on the editing on this one!

Overpriced for what it is. Do you know how many Yugo's I could own for the price of just one of these?
You could buy all the available Yugos in the world, and still have change left over.
