@@farmboy30117 I believe that front driveshaft is for a 3/4 speed manual trans truck. Those were a little shorter. I actually found a new driveshaft on Summit Racing. Not cheap but I need one. I have my fingers crossed it's the right length.
The 79 I did before UA-cam had a similar issue. I converted that truck from manual to auto and used the manual driveshaft. The truck wasn't lifted on the lift for me to see it was too short and I ended up wrecking that driveshaft. This one should be ok. I didn't run it. Might be able to get some money back selling it.
4 degree shim on the rear blocks will give you a better shaft angle. I just bought two off amazon and did that exact thing. I have a np241 in a 78 Chevy Scottsdale so its not stock. a shim will stop any vibration as well due to the angle you have there. I love your build and wish you best of luck! MK

@@mossman381 I've ran into this issue a few times myself. Hope the new one works out for you!

My rear lift is all spring. No blocks.
Awesome video! Drive train looks great nice job
@@scottblake6850 Thanks, I wish that driveshaft would have worked but I think I have it figured out.
@mossman381 your welcome! You think you will have to get one made that is longer

Truck is coming along nicely with your skills and body and paint work it will be worthy of Mecum auctions - but of course I hope you never sell it :)
@@jewllake Thanks, I wish I could say my paint and body stuff would be that good. A good driver quality is all I am after.
Looking good
